1.
ive got that picture on my desk at work.. i have written "Just another succesful day in Customer Services" on the bottom... god i love the public! jas :)
I''m sure they love you too.
2. He does have the slight problem of having marshmallow for brains, though, Percy Negative.
3. I have no doubt that we can fill most of the numerous current vacancies at Carrow Road and Colney, but the big question is; will the the new recruits be good enough?
4. Glenn Roeder has certainly put everything on the line here - talk about wholesale changes. If all these decisions are his, which they may not be, then he has a hell of a task next season, bringing in all the many staff replacements. Wiz could have a point with his predictions of dire financial problems, however. All will be revealed in the fullness of time.
5. Who are you to call me an idiot, you fool, Marshmallow-for-brains.
6.
A Rat normally leaves a sinking ship, we must have the only one whose staying, hope he can swim?
Ha ha ha, I like it!
7. Watson and Bruce without a doubt. They went on to play at a higher level than any of the others you''ve mentioned. Bruce won several trophies as an ever-present with Man Utd and Watson won at least one trophy (the old 1st Division title) with Everton.
8.
whats going on at this club is crazy, loads of players exiting along with loads of backroom staff, players refusing taking time over new contracts, dire football and a crap youth policy along with a massive loss of money. now im not a fan of robert chase but come on people things were never this bad under chase were they? surely its time for a change at the top in this club before things get worse, not that theycan get much worse, can they?
Spot on, Baldy Boy. Some of the forever optimistic sheep will not believe there is anything wrong with Delia''s pathetic regime until we finally end up in League One or Two. I''m beginning to get so that I don''t worry too much what happens to the club, if I did I would sink into a deep unrecoverable depression. Nurse, pass me the Prozac please!
9. Pity the video had to have that appalling racket added to it - that spoilt my enjoyment somewhat! It would have been much nicer to have had the original crowd noise instead.
10. I''m sorry if I upset some of the older posters on here with my earlier rant. I knew the basic story of the cup run, and that we beat some big sides that year, but I hadn''t realised that the money generated helped save the club from extinction. Obviously 1959 and all that, means much more to those who were there, than somebody like me who was only just born. Once again, sincerest apologies to all you old stagers.
11.
"The combination of football club heritage and musical acts on show was a concept that some found hard to grasp - and that probably meant the event attracted fewer supporters than it deserved." No Neil. I fully grasped the concept, but was not remotely interested in seeing a lineup of failed wannabee nobodys that even the 9 year old girls will have forgotten by the end of next season. I suspect that many of those over the age of majority without the aforementioned 9 year old daughters felt likewise. Here''s a concept for you Neil. Stop trying to tell me as a fan that I am in some way retarded because I don''t share your musical taste or agree with everything that''s done at Carroceania road and start to take on board that every week you cater for 24,000 free thinking individuals who can''t possibly all be wrong all the time.
You''re absolutely right, it is insulting. Our geekish four-eyed friend doesn''t have the humility within him to admit that he ever gets anything wrong. Perhaps he''s so deluded, and has such a high opinion of himself, that he truly believes he''s infallible and we''re all just a bunch of straw-sucking, philistine yokels.
12. A commemoration of this non-achievement would be farcical. I have never understood why the club and older City fans still bang on about failure in the FA Cup in 1959 - despite the fact we were a 3rd Division side at the time. We must be the only losing semi finalists in England to remember such a non-event. I have always felt this way about the ''59 cup run, I haven''t suddenly become cynical in my old age. Surely finishing 3rd in the Premiership was a far greater achievment?
13. Dean Ashton, Robert Earnshaw, David Bentley and Peter Crouch would do for starters. They''d give us a few more options in attack. I can''t think of any other old boys who would help us much, and there is one small problem, we don''t have a £30 million war chest!
14. £46 is daylight robbery for this type of match. I''d be reluctant to pay that for an FA Cup Final or an England match. It''s typical of rip-off Britain I suppose!
15. Good luck to Joe and commiserations to Greeno (he''ll have to change the message on those gloves now!). At last we have an England manager who picks players on ability and not reputation. When was the last time a 3rd Division player was called up to an England squad? I can remember Steve Bull being called up when he was playing for Wolves, which must have been over 20 years ago - and I believe they were in the old 3rd Division at the time. Nice one, Capello!
16.
Sad to see it going downhill so fast. An asterisk to omit one vowel from a profane word now stops me allowing my son to read these forums as he wants to know what they all mean. At 8 years old, he shouldn''t be reading that sort of thing. No, I''m not a victorian dad with unrealistic values. I just feel that you''re letting yourselves (and our kids) down by not attempting to be more articulate when you post a passionate reply. Throw as many insults as you like at this post. For those who want to swear though, I challenge you to think of something a little higher than gutter-language.[:|]
Well said, Messiah. There is no need to swear or be abusive on this or any other message board. Sadly a lot of people find it necessary to do so. There is nothing big or clever about the use of expletives, though unfortunately some people think it is big and clever. I have to say, however, the old moderated board allowed too much abuse and swearing to go through. I was often surprised by some of the stuff the moderators approved for all to see.
17. A nice surprise would be if he announced that he was leaving and taking the three Ds (Delia, Doomcaster and Donkerty) with him.
18. Mine is a "tribute" to George Burley. He gave a particularly jaundiced post match view of the performance of his then team Southampton - of course, they didn''t deserve to lose to City that day! I might have to have a name change again soon.
19. I should think Hucks and Shacks had rather high pulse rates during the penalty shoot-out!
20. Almost certainly some inbreds from sleepy silly Suffolk. How about retaliating with some very dodgy rumours about their crappy club?
21.

Couldn''t have happened to a nicer bloke - was glad he slipped - penalties are all about keeping cool under pressure (as you can see by my avatar of me slotting one in at Carrow Road).  I wonder if the lip readers have worked out what he said to Tevez as he pretended to wipe his nose on his sleeve...
If he played for Norwich and bled Green and Yellow like he does Blue for Chelsea you''d all love him. I like him as a player, hard and committed. Don''t really give a damn about what he does in his own time. Course, all the George Best types never got into scrapes in the old days, never had a dust up, never got drunk and never fraternised with the ladies. Whatever!
Spot on. Terry is not a very nice bloke, but he would improve our defence enormously if he played for us. I don''t like "Fat" Franky much either, but he would be another welcome addition to our squad.
22. I''m neither excited nor unexcited by the prospect of signing Bell. I''m prepared to wait until I see him play before I decide whether he''s any good or not. I do remember some posters on various message boards telling anybody who was prepared to listen, what great signings Brellier, Strihavka, Thorne and Jarret were before they saw them play in a yellow shirt. Their enthusiasm rapidly evaporated when these players proved what average or poor footballers they were. Bell might be just what we need or he could be crap.
23. Well, I''m quite looking forward to the biggest all-English football match for some time, and before some smart-arse reminds me, I know there are a lot of foreigners playing for both sides. I shall the match watch in the pub and enjoy a few beers. I just hope that it''s an entertaining game. The score??  2-1 to Manchester Utd.
24. I shall stick up for we8wba, if only for the fact that he makes my writing look good in comparison with his. And Dr Bunsen and his alter ego Beaker are welcome to stay also.
