1. If we are to have any chance of getting promoted we need Wes to show the sort of form he''s been in for the last dozen or so matches. He was almost unplayable at Barnsley. So my point is he and we need to put this in the past and Lambert needs to build his confidence up straight away for the Leicester match. It''s done, it''s over and we are only two points from automatic promotion with 11 games to go. I for one am right behind him.
2. Just looked it up and you''re right. I was thinking of all competitions. Only 4 each is a bit of an issue.
3. Your figures are wrong Martin has scored more than Jackson and he certainly has more assists.
4.
Would more seats = less season ticket holders? How many people buy ST''s because it guarantee''s them a seat for every league game, something which is nowhere near guaranteed if you turn up ''on the day''. In my early Norwich supporting days (mid-80''s) I went to just about any match I wanted, regardless of the opposition, turned up, paid at the entrance, got in. Didn''t even think about having a ST for that very reason. If there are a lot more seats, would it be easier to buy on the day again and thus bring the days of turn up on the day back again-thus meaning very erratic gates-maybe 30''000 plus for Arsenal, Man Utd (especially considering all of their fans in Norfolk) but just 18''000 or so for Bolton and Blackpool et al?
Spot on Shuck. I think you would see far more people picking and choosing their games rather than being season ticket holders if they could be gauranteed a seat. Many clubs (Leeds for example) have this experience. The ground exceeds the season ticket base and you get very large crowds for the big games and smaller ones for the remainder. I recoon we would get the 35,000 for the top clubs, particularly with their large away following, but could well end up with fewer (say 20,000) for the less attractive games against the likes of Blackburn, Bolton etc.
5. I dont know why he''s not slating them - I agree they were both poor today - you''ll have to ask him. I just meant I couldn''t see what that had to do with the original post. Macca was pooh (not for the first time) and it looks like we all agree.
6. Am I the only one who thinks that we don''t conceed that sort of goal when Nelson is playing?
7. I can''t see what Martin and Wilbraham playing poorly has got to do with the fact that MaNamee had a stinker. A winger that can''t cross has one hell of a problem
8. The 90th minute and we break away and one of our midfielders had enoough energy to support the break away and pull out a top save from thier keeper. That was Chrissy Martin. Fair enough some fans want to see players rushing around until they are so knackered they can''t last the full game (a-la Wilbraham) but most of us want to see something a bit more measured and ultimately more productive. No he''s not lazy. Lambert dosen''t think so, Maybe you should wonder why you are at odds with him.
9. It has to be Nelson and Barnett. Whitbread was class against QPR but be realistic, he''s only played one game after months out and to expect him to suddenly play two games in three days would risk another injury. For the same reason I expect to see Lapin in for Drury today as well. If we nurse Drury and Whitbread for a couple of weeks we should have seen the back of our defensive injury crisis
10.
If true then its hardly an inspired signing. If this is the time to "go for it" we need something a lot lot better than a 3rd division 31 year old. might as well chuck 100k in the bin.
Holt was a 3rd division centre forward last season and he''s doing Ok. We need cover for Holt as Martin and Jackson together don''t click so he fills a gap in the sqaud for me.
11. Nothing to do with being a fall guy. He''s been disappointing and much as I want him to do well it looks like he''s well short. Please let me be proved wrong but somehow I doubt it.
12.

through a friend that keeps up with all the gossip true or not true, but as said before it could be quite possible
Shakes head...2+2 = 4 not 22. It could be true that Maradona is going to be Blackburn''s next Manager or that Aliens exist...
You''re being silly now. Of course aliens exist.
13.
did you go to the game yesterday best 2 players on the pitch
I went as well. Everyone without exception had a good game but I would have picked out Ruddy and Lansbury myself
14. All this really shows is how poorly Macca played yesterday. We all know he doesn''t cover back and help out the full back but hope that he makes up with it with his attacking play. Yesterday he did neither.
15. Sorry can''t see that at all. A player goes through one on one against the keeper you can''t put it down as a keeper error when he doesn''t stop it. Not biased against one of our players surely!
16. I can''t see why we should be taking the pi$$. He was an average player but nobody could ever say he didn''t give 100%. Thats why he won POTS as it was so plain that half the others that year couldn;''t give a fig.
17. Sorry mate but becasue people don''t agree with you doesn''t mean they''re wearing tinted glasses. To be honest I could say the same about you not being able to see what he brings to the team. Where I''m sat I see a young prospect who brings much more that just rushing about after the ball. He times his runs superbly, hence he often gets that extra yard of space. For all his dashing about yesterday Jackson never managed to get much of a chance - he''s certainly fast but not in his thinking. He may well improve but he has a way to go to be up to Martin''s level - in my opinion. Like many on here I feel the team is much more balanced with Martin in the team, mainly because he brings others into the attack, his passing is inventive and his touch is first class. Way to go as you would expect from someone his age but he has a lot going for him. As for lazy! I''m sorry but I really think that is unfair. He might not chase down back passes to the keeper but he makes intellegent runs into space for the whole 90 mins. You pays your money and you makes your choice but lazy he is most definitely not.
18. It was definitely on MoTD. It was the only game I missed that season (had to go to my sisters wedding!) and dragged my wife home early to watch it. You don''t forget an ear bashing of that magnitude.
19. Wikipedia has Bernard Robinson as the oldest surviving player at the time of the centenary cellebrations in 2002 and there is no mention of his passing. Anyone know if Bernard is still with us? He would be 98.

21.

So let''s get this straight - you''re Norwich City FC supporters and you''re dismissing the only competition we''ve won silverware in! The Spurs, Villa and Sunderland League Cup finals at the old and better Wembley Stadium are all great memories for me - especially the latter. But hell yeah you''re right - it''s become a mickey mouse competition that doesn''t garner enough revenue to be bothering with and winning it merely provides a crap UEFA Cup place that even 2nd Division sides like ourselves shouldn''t be taking seriously [:P] Yes indeed there''s much wrong with the game today - it''s so-called supporters of football like most of you lot that are wrong for the game - you don''t love or even fu*cking like football - the older generations are still attending out of habit because they have little else going on in their lives and the younger generations haven''t got a clue because they weren''t around to witness football before the game became completely money oriented with all the detriment that''s entailed - detriment that you fu*ckers have funded. Suffice it to say, I agree with the OP and Lambert should''ve fielded the form players against Blackburn reserves - the argument that Lambert wanted to rest or keep free from injury form players for Forest on Saturday says what? He doesn''t have any confidence in fringe players stepping up to the plate? How very worrying so early on in the season is that? .
Fair enough.... but like the FA Cup, it was different then.  Would any future English World Cup win have the same impact as 1966? That''s the the trouble with football these days. With Division Two is now being the Championship and Division Three League One. Play-offs and semi-finals played at the ''new'' Wembley.... It all means feck all other than money in the bank.
Feck it! That''s what happens when you''re trying to keep up with this place while watching Porrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn     at the same    Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime...................
I always knew you were a w@nker

24. I know these points things are about opinion but Chris Martin only a six! From where I was sitting I thought he had a terrific game. Two goals, ran his socks off all night and hit the bar. Thats got to be worth more than average!
