1. The problem is though most of us a inconsistent in our thought process..... I can change my mind from hour to hour let alone day by day or month by month Personally I believe Alex Neil to be flawed, I dont see him as a good man manager, I dont believe he has the group bonded in the same way others have achieved and yes he makes mistakes with team selection and set up. However I certainly dont want him sacked......I do believe he is passionate, learning fast and I see the pain in his face week in week out when giving those post match interviews. He just like each and everyone of us in the stands he kicks every ball and makes every tackle along with our hereo''s on the pitch..... Given time and a little patience from the faithful he could be the next Ron Saunders, Ken Brown or Mike Walker ?
2. As already stated Newcastle. Sunderland and Watford at home are all winnable games as are West Brom and Palace away. Lets be honest in the first round meetings between the clubs this season 5 of the 8 points collected came against Arsenal Man Utd and Everton..... Lets be positive (yes we have had a poor run) but the first half of the season (19 games) returned a healthy 20 points Personally I would think averaging a point a game between now and the end of the season would be enough given we are playing our two biggest relegation rivals winning those two though is very important
3. Seems a straight forward case of glass half empty instead of half full !! The op seems aggrieved that his casual supporting brother will have to pay the same price as every other casual supporter on the day.....instead of being grateful that the club offer his adult son (obviously aged between 18-21) a huge discount on the cost of a season ticket in the first place.
4.

Oh the irony !! Cant believe we are even discussing this.... if the general consensus is that the manager is chopping and changing the team too often why would we want the board to do the same ? We seem to be changing managers more often than our underwear of late.... I say give the guy time (yes its frustrating at present) but if we are patient in 3 or 4 years time who knows what or where we could be ? You wanted the board to spend money in Jabuary and they have now we have given the manager the tools give him the time to get to work with them !
They have spent the money but imo the signings are poor , would much rather have signed Afobe and left it at that . Have we improved things at the back by spending on Klose and Pinto ? no not really . Jarvis another signing in the Dorrans and Mulumbu mould unwanted by a fellow premiership club . Why just sit and go down when a change and new ideas may keep us up .
Seems very harsh to judge Pinto and Klose after a mere 2 games each ! It cant be easy adapting to new surroundings in the relative calmness of summer let alone in the highly charged pressure cooker of a mid season relegation battle.

6. Or perhaps a completely different deal has been done whereby they come on a lower wage with ''huge'' bonuses to keep us up ? just putting it in the mix !
7. Got to agree with the OP to a certain extent.... Realty is the club has spent record amounts of money in the last couple of weeks and all yesterdays performance has proved is that we were right to do so. While I wasnt happy with the managers team selection I do understand the logic of not throwing two new defends into the mix in the one game (with hindsight it couldnt have been any worse) he also has a habit of wanting to play his perceived best 11 even if it means they play out of position. Brady isnt a left back, Wes isnt a left winger, etc etc I am sure with 10 days before our next match things will look very different..... Two points I make about the game yesterday is we missed Alex Tettey and whilst disappointing to lose the game in those circumstances surely the biggest shock of the day was that at one point we were leading 3-1 ? Canaries are certainly a fickle bunch..... Two months ago they wanted Rudd in the team....now some question his ability ? After we played a very defensive game at home to Swansea (and won 1-0) they wanted attacking fast action football.....now they dont seem to enjoy that either ? They wanted signings and big money spent....and before the guys have even settled into the squad it isnt enough and we must spend more ? C''mon guys lets enjoy the ride......just imagine if the day at Wembley had ended in defeat, we could well be languishing in the bottom half of the Championship and Naismith, Klose, Pinto, Jarvis, Mulumba, mBokani, Brady sure as hell wouldnt be here......and quite possibly nor would Redmond BUT Grabham and Jonno might I s''pose !!
8. AN definitely said in the post match interview he made a decision to play Martin as he suspected Firmino would play and not Benteke, If Bennetts wife is indeed due in Labour how long would it take to get from the Carra to the N+N ?
9. As has already been mentioned Liverpool like to play a fast high pressing game, As such this isnt a game for sitting deep with 2 banks. They dont like it in the air, cant deal with crosses and are vulnerable at set plays. I opt for 2 out and out wingers and getting the ball forward long and fast. Who AN chooses to play across the back is anyone''s guess whether he would choose to replace 2 of the back 4 in the one game ? but given we have conceded 3 goals in each of the last 3 games they couldnt do any worse. Tettey and Howson pick themselves for the central midfield places both head and shoulders above the rest. Assuming we start with Brady at LB then its Redmond and Jarvis on the wings delivering early crosses... and given I have said I want it forward fast and high it has to be mBokani and Naismith.
10. Its quite amusing the way some try and play down the importance/significance of tomorrows game against Villa Yes granted its a bigger game for them than us they really need 6 points from the two matches this week if they are to have any chance of staying up..... But equally if we cant not only beat but destroy a team thats failed to win since the opening day of the season then heaven help us..... The only thing that matters at present is points on the board !!
11. I too would love to play for Norwich....that doesnt make me any good though !!
12. No of course not BUT wasnt expecting him to play a worse one either !!
13. Yes I too thought the Boo''s were for Grabban when the team was read out.... whilst not nice to hear its perfectly understandable that anyone refusing to wear the shirt (whatever the reason) when asked to do so when being handsomely paid for the privilege, whilst others part with hard earned cash week in week out to be there, is going to be the target of the frustration of many.....I am sure if the lad shows the right attitude and work rate he will be forgiven by the fans but lets not forget his petulance has shown its ugly head on more than one occasion !
14. Well I have to say there is certainly ''something'' about Alex Neil.... Really not sure what it is or how he does it but generally comes out of it OK Obviously the exception being the panic move at Newcastle when he rolled to early but the other week against Swansea he made the Jerome/ Mbokini switch I for one thought it pointless but it paid off Today he brings Grabban in from the cold and gets a result so the question I ask and I really dont have the answer is the guy a genius or just lucky ?
15. Sorry guys but I disagree. I am sure we are all equally disturbed by the atrocity and have heartfelt sympathy with those lost and their grieving families.... BUT this isnt about being french......its yet another attack on the western world (for the record it has already happened here for whoever mentioned it earlier and has a short memory) it also happened in Turkey the day before France and a Russian airliner shortly before that SO why the big issue and the French love in ? Last Tuesday evening at Wembley we took the opportunity at international level to show the world we were united in grief and all stand together to conquer terrorism..... Its time to move on and regain a sense of normality otherwise we truly are being dictated too !!
16. Spare ticket for Chelsea away this weekend lower tier. Face value, can post (recorded delivery at cost) pm if interested
17. why / care to elaborate ? they were restricted to half chances and long range efforts by a well organised, disciplined and patient set up. It was obvious from the moment the team was announced it was going to be a different approach today..... Wasnt pretty at times, we didnt dominate the ball like we can and have done BUT we won, kept and clean sheet and picked up 3 very valuable points. Problem is some people just dont understand football Personally I''ll take todays chess match and a win over the basket ball game we had at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago !!
18. OH MY, OH MY....how fickle we really are !! As the OP says we are a yo yo club we average a promotion or relegation every 3 seasons our longest stay in top flight football is 6 seasons in the old Div 1 Paul Merson summed it up brilliantly yesterday when asking ''what do Norwich expect'' yes we dare to dream, yes we want to win but the reality is we have had a great year.... Would anyone really swap the day out a Wembley ? On AUG 7TH I am sure a straw poll would have revealed 99% of city fans would have taken 17th this season. For the first time in his spell at Norwich AN has lost consecutive matches (ok 2 became 3)..... Now I am not saying he is the best thing since sliced bread, he has a lot to learn and his inexperience has been shown up by 3 very experienced managers in our last 3 games. Lets not get all hysterical just yet.....imho yesterday we lacked confidence, Alex places a lot of emphasis on the first goal and when it went against us it was as if the mind set was well thats that then we are beaten again. Its a learning curve and it will take time for the guy to adapt and find a balance between strong defence and nice attacking football. The good thing is we now have a trip to Everton in the cup where the pressure is off, the perfect chance for Alex to give those players lacking in confidence a real boost. Dont think wholesale changes are right for this one play the eleven he thinks is his best starting line up. Dont go over the video''s of the last 3 defeats time and time again over analyzing..... Stick on the trips to West Ham, Sunderland and Liverpool and take a look at what we were doing right..... Playing with a freedom and attitude of belief !! Come on City fans lets not get into booing the lads off the pitch after a game....yes we pay good money and yes its frustrating when we know we can and have done better But this time last year we got dumped out of the same cup by Shrewsbury, ok we bounced back with an away win at Blackpool but that was quickly followed by a run of 5 games without a win !! Keep the faith and enjoy it for what it is a foray into top flight English football !
19. We are guilty at times of over complicating matters when we try the intricate pass rather then pulling the trigger. A direct result is we dont get bodies in the box often enough to create problems. We are its fair to say very predictable in our build up play, slow and methodical this in turn makes it very easy for well organised units (Leicester,West Brom,Stoke,Palace) to defend against.
20. Certainly showed his naivety today, went chasing the game too early when we were in control of the ball and dominating possession....left an already weak defense very exposed and Brolly boy exploited it ! In fact its fair to say experienced managers have seen him for what he is an attack minded manager....hence better prepared teams like today and Leicester previously are happy to let us have the ball run ourselves into trouble and sucker punch us with 3 or 4 quick passes ! But as long as he learns from it we move forward and go again.
21. I do love all this crap about him being a championship player.... yes technically it wasnt the most gifted BUT with the heart of a lion what he lacked in ability he made up for in spades with his passion and will to win now while he may not of started every game in the PL where he will be missed is during games such as Southampton when the opposition are running through us for fun....and he came on to break the play up and close them down quickly Also when our so called PL defends are caught ''fannying'' around with it in front of our goal and panic kicks in and they hoof it up the park....who would you want before Jonno ready to compete for the ball as it hangs in the air ? Now he hasnt always been a favorite of mine the day he tweeted a pic of himself in a north london pub wearing an Arsenal shirt (FA cup final day 2012 perhaps? ) I would have happily given the twat away.....and yet over the last 18 months having rolled his sleeves up and got stuck in after relegation when he could have been away (apparently offers from 3 or 4 PL clubs...funny that for a championship player ?) well he won me over and a majority of the City faithful and at the moment I cant think of a player I would rather see pulling on the Yellow jersey !!
22. I certainly havent claimed he was technically the best player we have.....my argument is he was 100% committed, can the same be said about those still here ? I agree he is the type of player who wants to be involved and retains my respect for that HOWEVER having watched the Derby interview just now although saying all the right things the body language told a different story..... Been a while since a player left I was truly sorry to see go
23. Good business or not as a fan there are some players you want to see pull on that shirt and then there''s others you really wouldnt care if they didnt bother.... Brad is a guy who would run through a wall for the team, stick a boot or a head in where it hurts and give 100% everytime !! As has been widely reported could have bailed out last summer along with Fer and Snodgrass but stayed, rolled up his sleeves and did a shift for the cause !! Has earned his place in the City hall of fame as far as I am concerned.
