Tilly On The Telly.

Recommended Posts

As Norwich fans I''d say we''re in the best postion to judge travel costs.

Personally living in Lincoln means I''m a little more connected to the major road and rail links but its still pretty poor. If only the A47 could be duelled to Peterborough it would make travelling north so much easier for Norwich fans.

Is this a new series of one of those investigative journalist shows, future episodes will be

Tilly on the Trolley - John investigates A&E waiting times.

Tilly on the Billy - John investigates the shady underground world of Goat racing.

Tilly on the Filly - John takes a trekking holiday in the Brecon Beacons.

Tilly on the Lillie - John spends a weekend at Camber Sands with the Aussie fast bowler.

Tilly on the Willie - John reports back from his weeks holiday in Brighton.

Tilly on the Chili - John sees how hot he can go.

Tilly on the Toilet - A double bill (no pun intended) with the above.

Through all of these posts at no point were there any suggestions or comments, nor were any asked for by TIL...

Representing the views of Norwich fans it may well have been a good idea to ask the Norwich fans their opinion, or maybe someone to offer theirs up.

Or did I miss the point here?
As Tilly travels to most away matches in his so-called fanny Magnet, what value do his views on public transport actually have?
I travelled to 5 away games last season using the rail network Crafty including the horrendous nightmare that was Peterborough in the Cup. The London fixtures included using the underground and for home games I use the bus. 5 other away games last year I agree I did travel by Fanny Magnet so travelling by train, bus, underground and car does give me a limited view of transportation to games both home and away don''t you think ?

If you look back JayNCFC I did invite somebody who I know is dependant on public transport because they do not drive to discuss the matter but sadly it did not get a response.

Using the tube for London games is horrendous.

Had to for Chelsea away last season as I was going from Canterbury. Easy to get into London, but getting on the tube was just silly. And 90% of the people on there had no consideration for anyone else, was a little girl nearly crushed because of some rather large ''cockney geezers'' in their Chelsea shirts shoving on when there was already no room.

Was almost as bad when I went to and England game as well, and they had extra special services for that. Also thought waiting for half an hour after the game would make it a little more pleasant getting away on the tube, no such luck!!

I would like to see:

Isn''t he a Tilly Billy? - Tilly investigates the Orange Order

Isn''t he a Hilly Tilly? - Tilly follows Wainwright''s Fell walking routes from Methwold to Feltwell

Isn''t he a Philly Tilly? - Tilly investigates cream cheese

Isn''t he a Chilly Tilly? - Tilly travels to the North Pole

Isn''t he a Chile Tilly? - Tilly travels to South America

Isn''t he a Dilley Tilly? - Tilly investigates the great Test bowler

Isn''t he a Willey Tilly? - Tilly investigates the life and times of the great allrounder.

I''m sure others could design a third series.
Tilly on the Kathy - Oh my!
Over my dead body.

Didn''t see the programme. Did he tell them about when a young woman with a push chair stood up and offered him her seat on the London Underground? It was a lovely moment. Those of us who were there have never forgotten it.

As oft quoted on here. Would''ve thought the BBC would have contacted 1 of the other support groups who regularly use public transport for home and away games. Then again with the BBC moving to Salford they wouldn''t want to harm their reputation by using a London based club as they were often accused of concentrating on London when they were at television centre.

The funny thing is when they first rang me I suggested they look on the Caps website for a contact number but obviously the BBC had no success and came back to me some hours later. Caps is short for Capital Canaries but I am sure you are familiar with that Drury 15.
In this thread? Did I miss that? This was not just to point out that you did not ask anyone''s opinion, it''s good to hear that you did, I just cannot believe that no one thought to post anything serious about it on the most active NCFC forum other than what was.
