1. ="City1st"]clearly you are not aware of why Lambert left Says the man who says "I''ve never claimed a secret"
 2. This kind of forum stalking would be odd in a friendless 16 year. For a man in his thirties, it is creepily odd.
 3. Apparently Le Juge is in his thirties. Allegedly.
 4. No Slim, you have got it wrong. Every time this issue comes up, City 1st is all over the thread like a rash with his "I know a secret you don''t know and I''m not telling but you''re talking rubbish" mantra. Bow to the inevitable. City 1st has been blessed with secrets by the Gods and is cursed to walk amongst us, berating us for our ignorance whilst unable on fear of death to impart the secrets that he bears. In the middle ages, the most holy relic was the One True Cross. Now it is the One True Story of Lambert''s Departure and only one man is blessed with that. And he isn''t telling.
 5.
"He has made a huge difference to the club behind the scenes. Last summer he had Colney updated." you have to wonder if some folk have a clue about what the manager does .... and doesn''t do
My source works at Colney. How about yours?
 6.
"Even his most vehement critics respect his ability in the transfer market"eh ?I''m not too sure if you quite understand how transfers are conducted at CRDo you still imagine that the club simply allocates him an amount of money and say ''there you are, off you go" ?He is one voice amongst many - the idea of some sort of buffoonery ie a director of football is absurd.
The only idiot bigger than the person who thinks the manager is given cash and a free hand is the idiot who thinks other people believe that.
 7.

I believe that this is the way forward especially if/when we stay up. The criticisms of Hughton are his tactics and substitutions. Even his most vehement critics respect his ability in the transfer market He has made a huge difference to the club behind the scenes. Last summer he had Colney updated. He has a real feel for much of the club and is very effective. Do, we keep that ability and make him DOF. We appoint a new first team coach with responsibility for selection and tactics. We can stop arguing and the club can move forward.
I think you will find Cambridge that it was down to Ricky Martin and David McNally setting their stall out to obtain Academy status level one which was being worked on long before Hughton arrived.
r You may be right but the upgrading of the pitches and other developmental improvements to the facilities were Hughton''s initiative. Plus of course, Hughton was right behind Academy status and did his bit.

 9. What I would do right now is not sack anybody but bring in someone like Steve Clarke for a month as a guest coach to look at the squad with fresh eyes and bring some fresh impetus to Colney. It might put a few noses out of joint but less so than a sacking. This won''t work with Adams. It has to be a coach with enough experience and reputation to make a difference.
 10.
And if Hoolahan is not even on the bench then there is a big problem in the making there. Should have sold him but other considerations came before footballing ones IMO.
Errr You do realise that Wes didn''t travel in case a deal was done yesterday. He was never a part of today.
 11. Your premise is wrong. Those teams made one or two quality signings and even that is debatable. Otherwise they''ve signed players who would be no better than what we''ve got For example, most posters on here did not want Ledley or Dann. Fabio? Really?
 12. Agreed Branston and the squad is greatly strengthened both by the signings and by the returns from injury. Too many of our poorer performances came at least in part from better players being out and our squad being too thin. We are over dependent on Tettey and Howson at the moment but Tettey is now back as is Pilkington. A fuller squad where players can be rested and rotated will see us home. The two Incomings will add to that and bring considerable experience. This is not the best or most exciting outcome but it is good enough. The main growth in the squad will take place in the summer.
 13. How wonderfully ironic that one of the worse trolling non jokes about Hughton''s alleged failings comes from someone called Getalife? Delicious!!
 14.

When, in the history of NCFC, have we found it easy to attract top players?
It helps if you actually bid for them...
Here we go again. How do you know we didn''t. We now know that we got Harry Kane because an agreed deal for Fraser Campbell fell through at the last minute. You can''t judge effort on outcome. It seems that last night we were after a deal which would have brought someone in and let Wes go. It didn''t happen. Maybe we bid for players and were unsuccessful ; maybe we didn''t. I don''t know and neither do you. But don''t let lack of facts get in the way of a chance to knock the club.
 15.
Bedding in? Are you kidding me?! In 1 hour it''ll be f**king February! We''ve done nothing to address the problems we have in central midfield, which is causing our lack of goal scoring opportunities. Howson has been a big miss, but he still doesn''t sound like being anywhere close to fit, and we weren''t exactly scoring for fun before his injury. I''m struggling to believe we haven''t strengthen in this area.
Tettey has been back for 10 mins. Pilks has played less than a game. Ricky is what, three or four games? The others are still out hence the signings. That is still bedding them in.
