Where do I start????/

Went to the same school as Geoffrey Watling, Lord Nelson, Stephen Fry, Clive Baker and Tilly (granted only four of those are famous...you decide!!!)

Once spent the afternoon with Bill Kenwright (Everton Chairman) and his then wife Anouska Hempel (look her up on Wiki) at their house in Holland Park - in fact, the day after Scum won the FA Cup Final.

Taught Mylene Klass the words to ''On the Ball City''

Met Amanda Holden in the Gunn Club

Used to play football with Norman Lamb MP

Played table football with Golden Earring at the UEA

Casted Kate Middleton in a soft porn film whilst she was a student*

(*please note one of the above is a total lie)
Obvious innit! You never went to school with Lord Nelson.....even you can''t be that old! [;)]
I think Tilly did...

I use to work in a bank as a relief cashier and had an argument with a customer at the till. He wanted 50 quid on a 30 quid cheque card (was 1975) at East Sheen branch. I said ''sorry sir but the limit is 30 pounds'' and he replied ''if you knew who I was you''d give me the 50'', to which I replied, ''well, sir, I don''t know who you are but even if I did it wouldn''t make any difference''.  He got increasingly irate, shouted at me and the manager came out of his office to see what the furore was all about, and said '' Hello Mr Hull, Mr Moy is only doing his job''.  It was Rod Hull of Emu fame. [:D]

Another time, I was working at Sloane Square branch for a few weeks in 1976 where a lady I  saw regularly was Katie Boyle.

One day there was a furore in the banking hall as a guy came in and shouted at a woman in the queue, presumably his wife, ''F****** hurry up you bitch. You''ve just got me a *F****** parking ticket !!''. The bank accountant went out and spoke to the guy telling him off and not to use such foul language in the bank. The offender was actor Gerald Harper.

My favourite three are as follows; I once saw Gene Wilder strolling along Gentlemans Walk with his wife (I presume). Yes that''s right, Willy Wonka himself. We made eye contact. Every fibre of me wanted to ask him about Oompa Loompas but somehow I resisted and left him in peace.

Delia Smith gave me evils after I opened the door for her into the Gunn Club. Not sure why.

Finally, I once delivered a parcel to world famous angler John Wilson. He met me at the end of the lane he lives down with his arms crossed, smiling, as if to say ''yes, it is me. Actual John Wilson''. I pretended to not recognise him.

Been in the airline business for over forty years. Based at Heathrow, and often seconded to other airports around the world.

Therefore have to deal with celebs every day. I say ''have to'' as it''s not always a pleasure.  When you reach managerial  level

they often like to have you as a contact. Mainly wanting favours, such as upgrades etc,for there friends. Or even wanting the flight

delayed as running ''a little late'' their on the way to the airport. And all that nonsense.  Nice to get back to a bit of normality at Carrow

road every two weeks.

But a couple of celebs do stand out.  I got to know Charlie Chaplin and his family quite well in his latter years. They were a nice bunch.

And saw I the main man, Elvis.  In concert in Vegas in 1972.

As a lad I got coached by Jimmy Montgomery who was running a local football school.

I played / trained with Michael Bridges at another football school.  His quality shone through even as a 10 year old, he was head and shoulders above everyone else.  In matches you definitely wanted him on your team, he would just run rings round everyone.

You''ve probably never heard of him, my Uncle''s step son (Chris Park) was on Pop Stars The Rivals and was a member of the boy band Phixx.  Cheryl Tweedy (Cole) was also on the Pop Stars The Rivals show with Chris and he knew her / was friends with her from their ballroom dancing days as kids.

My Dad is a teacher and has taught the Ameobi''s.

On a trip to the Metro Centre when I was just a wee nipper we met Jack Charlton in WHSmith.  My dad was buying chocolates for something at his school and there I was arms full of chocolate, as my Dad asked for his autograph, Jack quipped "I see the lad likes his chocolate".

Several times I have brushed shoulders with Peter (obviously) Beardsley in Tescos.  Also Warren Barton and several over Newcastle footballers whose names escape me.

Also in Tescos many years ago David (because I''m worth it) Ginola bumped into me.  Ladies, he looks even better in the flesh!

Was in the same pub as Steve Cram once, but I didn''t have the heart to speak to him as he was busy tucking into his meal and he was also entertaining a blonde haired lady.

I''ve also met Henry Sandon and David Battie of Antiques Roadshow fame.

On the subject of taking a p155 with a celebrity.  My Dad once took one with Alan Shearer in a country hotel near Newcastle.

Ok...

When I was at university in Preston living in halls in the first year I lived in a ground floor flat (flat 2) in a 10 flat block. On the fourth floor on the opposite side (flat 9) lived a group of girls, one of whome was called Barbara. I met her on severel occasions and often shared a friendly smile but I had no idea who she was until one drunken evening I discovered:

She was a former girlfriend of the brother of one of the boys who featured in the famous milk advert in which the immortal line "Accrington Stanley, who are they?... Exactly" was spoken.

Christ, I could take this thread up to 18 pages with a single post and many many wild stories but I''ll keep it short... 2 of my dearest friends are in an English band that in their 30 year career have broke the 4 corners of the earth, they''re called The Cure - consequently mainly through them I have met (off the top of my head) Noel and Liam Gallagher, Coldplay, Primal Scream, Paul Weller, Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Charlie Watts (Rolling Stones), Mick Hucknall (nice geezer despite what is said), Fun Loving Criminals, Cameron Diaz, Ocean Colour Scene, Bruce Willis, No Doubt, Natalie Imbruglia, Counting Crows, Pearl Jam, Jo Brand, Kate Moss, Jude Law, David Gray, Adam Ant, Stereophonics, Pete Doherty, Sol Campbell, Joe Cole, John Terry, Blur, The Stone Roses, Hugh Grant, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, Simon King, Reeves Gabrels (David Bowie''s guitarist), Paul Whitehouse, Manic Street Preachers, Elbow, Keane, Muse, David Baddiel, Ben Elton, Fat Boy Slim, Zoe Ball, Banarama, Jamiroquai, Neil Morrissey, Ken Livingstone, Jo Guest, Chris Evans, the Appleton sisters, Blur, Shaun Ryder and Bez, Placebo, Rhys Ifans, Freddie Ljungberg, Sade Frost, Meg Mathews, Roger Taylor (Queen), Kasabian, Gary Numan, Steve Lamacq, Joe Mangel haha, Robert Plant, George Michael, Jonathan Ross, all the actors from Hustle and The Mighty Boosh, Kylie Minogue, John Inverdale, Roman Abramovich, Beth Orton, Jools Holland, man of the moment Daniel Craig... And apart from Depeche Mode, I''ve somehow forgotten The Killers. Now their drummer Ronnie Vannucci the slimy bastard tried it on with my ex girlfriend on more than one occasion, she incidentally was a PA to Bon Jovi, though fortunately I always managed to avoid meeting them

Guest
Many years ago whilst working on the London underground I sold season tickets to Paul Gabachini and David Attenborough and one day at Oxford circus I was finishing my shift when the then stunning Suzie Quatro ask me directions to a shop and after mentioning I was going that way walked and chatted with her before ending up helping her buy a couple of outfits by sitting telling her how she looked in them, she then bought me a coffee in a local cafe before parting with a little peck on the cheek. My nephew was in eastenders for a few years and I''ve cooked dinner for his then girlfriend Kara Tointon at my house.

Lastly and the best I was stumbling home very drunk near Piccadilly late one Saturday night when I was almost run over by a very irate Chris Tarrant, Blimey he lost his rag...lol

I''ve met a lot through different aspects of my life. I''ll split them into the most noteworthy:

I''m very good mates with Robert Green. Through him I''ve been clubbing with David Beckham, Sol Campbell, Peter Crouch, Carlton Cole and many Norwich players

I work in tv now and have mobile numbers for, and swap occasional texts with James Cordon and Robson Green. I''ve also worked with Matt Dawson and Kirsty Allsopp.

Previous to that I worked in film on Batman Begins and Costant Garder and met both directors (but not actors as not in main unit). I worked on Harry Potter (4) and met the whole crew including chatting to Daniel Radcliffe about the theory of evolution for ten minutes on a golf buggy. Very surreal.

My dad is a writer and through him I''ve met Bernard Hill, and went to the wedding of John Hannah (Scottish guy fom Four Weddings and a Funeral).

I also had a business and served mystic fraud Derek Ancorah and Maximo Park.

Jas - I was actually an employee of The Cure at one point - but no not Robert or Simon or Roger (though I obviously know them all), generally I only see them at Cure related events or weddings/funerals etc - my close friends within the band are Jason (drummer) and Perry (guitarist - Perry''s place has been taken by Reeves G - at the moment anyway). Jason''s coming round to mine on Saturday with his 2 kids so will pass your words on. I was at Reading Festival aswell as a guest, we were all sat up behind the speakers on the main stage, it was a very good performance. A wild night followed, though it wasn''t meant to as they were headlining Leeds the next night and had to get back to the hotel after a swift drink backstage. On an NCFC related note, I always wind Robert up about us, he''s obsessed with footie and is a QPR supporter - funnily enough we were playing them the next day after the Reading show which ended up 1-1 though I was telling him Holty was going to come bang into form that game, was slightly wrong but nevertheless always good to wind him up about how much better we are than QPR. Anyway, if I could figure out how to upload pics on here from my BlackBerry....
