Howson Deal

[quote user="Tangible Fixed Assets anyone"]

Anybody who knows what they are talking about (unlike you Plod) will know that there are certain contracts that can be seen and others that cannot. It is out of respect for the person concerned that I do not discuss the terms of their contract with the company, i.e., NCFC Plc.

Even at my age i am still willing to learn Tangible so please tell me the difference between seeing Mr McNallys contract and that of a player as surely both are employed by NCFC PLC.Good to see your respect for the person concerned did not stop you starting a thread on it a few weeks ago.How about at next years AGM you get to your feet and tell the 400 or so in the audience what they can and cannot see because to me it looks like i am not the only one amongst 6,000 shareholders who are not blessed with such a wealth of knowledge as your good self regarding corporate law.[:$]

The basic difference is that McNally is a director and as such shareholders have a right to know his pay, bonuses, benefits etc. Indeed, they are outlined in the accounts, as they were with Neil Doncaster. Only Tangible would know if he was allowed to see more information about McNally''s contract than is allowed for under UK corporate law.

Thanks for that PC and indeed i did read about McNallys pay and bonuses oulined  in the accounts i received as a shareholder but as you say only Tangible would know if he saw more information than is allowed for under UK corporate law.Without him giving details a straightforward yes or no would suffice but despite asking several times on another thread Tangible continues to swerve the answer. However a yes answer may well result in me asking McNally himself how that came about and why the 6,000 other shareholders were not made aware and why Tangible was singled out as the sole recipient of priveleged information.

Take this as a pinch of salt if you wish, as I''m only repeating what I''ve read on Twitter but in the last half hour there are a few Leeds fans all saying that the Howson deal is done and will be officially announced tomorrow.

[quote user="Excited Canary"]Some Sun Journalist on Twitter says the deal will be completed tomorrow..

As has someone who works for the Yorkshire Evening Post by the looks of it, although he may well just be repeating what the Sun journalist has said, of course. Fingers crossed anyway.

Sorry jim, I get my grammer wrong too sometimes (see thread). I wouldn''t wish to regarded as a bully who puts off new posters although you seem to be able to stand up for yourself.  I note too that you are a season ticket holder of many years, infact more than you can remember. You don''t suffer from alzheimers too do you?

Y''know, I''m all for a bit of banter and there is a joke going around on Twitter "Jonny Howson has failed his medical at Norwich ''cos he only has 5 fingers on each hand". Yep, its funny - no problem with that. What I do have a problem with, is that it has been re-tweeted by "officialLUFC".This should be considered as offensive as if Liverpool''s official twitter posted a racist joke, right?

That Twitter page says "Round up of all things related to the Whites, Simon Grayson and Elland Road, Home of Leeds United Football Club LUFC. Enjoy. Official - well sort of and kinda"

So probably not official then!

Firstly I have only seen what I am allowed to by corporate law. If you understood what you are talking about you would know the difference between Mr. McNallys contract and that of a player.

If you remember Plod you had great difficulties in reading the opening post of that thread and you still don''t get it. I haven''t disclosed any detail of Mr. McNallys contract and nor am I going to do so out of respect for him. You can wait until the next set of Accounts to be published or if you are so desperate to know you can pay a solicitor who specialises in corporate law to advise you.

BTW. Plod, I thought you didn''t give a fig about McNally''s bonus (mind you thousands viewed that thread).

Some might think you are a bit jealous.
