New intro music?

Recommended Posts

First of all I must admit to not knowing the present entrance music as the players enter the field as I live abroad and am unable to get to games presently, but how would people feel about the introduction to Eye in the sky by the Alan Parsons Project as a potential entrance song? The Chicago Bulls basketball team of the late 90s which included Dennis Rodman and Michael Jordan came on to this music and I think it creates a really intense atmosphere. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMAGwMAXTpUWhat do you think?

As much as I appreciate condescending remarks, I have to ask, what are a few of these "million better choices"? Of course this is going to be a highly subjective issue though I thank you for your swift damnation of my own suggestion...

Strewth! You have another million just like those? :-)

I don''t think it matters as the Premiership have their own intro music that must be used don''t they?

What about ''I just cant get enough'' by Depeche Mode? Only joking of course.

There is only 1 winner,

''Fanfare For The Common Man'' Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

[quote user="John"]Ennio Morricones "The Ecstasy Of Gold".

Feels to have the perfect tone for a new dawn for our club in the Premier League...

...is the correct answer.

Failing that, if Ennio veto''s this #1 suggestion then "Bad Boys" by Wham! can hold its own against the best of them.

I like it when teams have their own personal themes to come out to, like that strange fanfare tune at Leicester or Charlton''s red robin song.... actually means something to the team and something for the away fans to remember. Nothing worse than going away and hearing the same song each week. And hopefully we don''t go back to that dreadful ''select an entrance song from this generic list'' era. That really was cringe worthy, from the dark days of Doomcaster (DDD).

If not, then lets go for a power anthem.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doHoE156RAo

The third is already used far too much just before the teams come out. I seem to remember when we played Ippyswitch they looped it for a good 10 minutes. Also the quality of the copy the club has is either very poor or the speakers just aren''t up to it and it just sounds awful.Happy to stick with Song 2 by Blur.

Well I don''t know... I''m sure it''s not too long before we get a ''Titantron'' and the managers come out before the match to slag off the opposition and the fans ;)

Maybe that''s why Alex Ferguson refuses to appear on the BBC. He''s scared that Arsene Wenger might attack him with a chair mid-interview [:D]

its gotta be Leftfield''s Planet phat (of Guiness ad fame for the oldies/non dance music folks out there)

It would scare the life out of the opposition (and most of the Jarrold and N&P stands to boot.

tick follow tock indeed.

Ennio Morricones "The Ecstasy Of Gold"... is a really good shout ... great piece of music.

But have always had a strange yearning for Telstar by the The Tornadoes to blare out just before the team arrives ... weird aren''t I ... I''ll get my coat!

Patches O''Hoolahan - Its an incredibly dated sounding suggestion and one that has very little resonance in this country. I feel it is best left to hoopball teams of the past!

Audioslave...cochise... it builds perfectly. people would whinge about it being too loud. bear in mind only the first 20-40 seconds will be heard.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDMvN45sjo4

Norwich '' R '' Us - three top choices, pretty sure we have been using the third in build ups recently.

T-Rex would make my Dad very happy, his fave song ever, tad dated and a bit glam. |Would worry me a bit as the riff was stolen by Oasis and thus has been northernised! not good...

Sabotage is ace but might upset a few too many at Carrow Road...

Great choice, you could always liven them up in the Jarrold and River End, by just putting a bit a plant food in their cocoa.
