AJ 1,219 Posted February 2, 2009 Sheffield United have agreed a deal to bring striker Arturo Lupolo from Norwich to Bramall Lane on loan until the end of the season.

JTG 0 Posted February 2, 2009 That is the stupidest worse piece of business this club has done if true. Absolutely shocking, a disgrace. How Cureton can get in ahead of Lupoli is beyond belief. Watch Lupoli set the Championship alight at Sheffield United.
Mr. Bump 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Great, loaning out one of our loanees. [:|]
PurpleCanary 5,558 Posted February 2, 2009 What is odd, if this is true, is that by signing Killen we finally had a player that Lupoli could play alongside.

The way this club has treated him is nothing short of a joke.
AJ 1,219 Posted February 2, 2009 Can''t believe it has turned out to be like this.Could have been so influential for us, but ended up being stuck behind the scenes.Very disappointed, and good luck to him at Sheffield United.
TheCardinal 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Not overly surprised or bothered. Lupoli had a keen eye for goal, but offered very little otherwise. I do admit playing Curo ahead of him was a mistake - Curo didn''t even offer the keen eye for goal - but c''est la vie. I think this could mean another striker in the not too distant future? paul ncfc 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Hardly going to thrive at Sheffield the ball is always hoofed from front to back there.
Branston Pickle 3,657 Posted February 2, 2009 Come off it, something clearly wasn''t ''clicking'' with Lupoli at City; even with Gunn as manager he barely got a look in. With Gow, Killen and Cody coming in it makes reasonable sense that he would be further behind in the pecking order, at least vs the first two of those. An additional thing is that he hasn''t gone to one of the sides we are in direct competition with, so imo it is another piece of reasonable business.
Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 3,820 Posted February 2, 2009 Blackwell clearly thinks he is strong enough, big enough and quick enough for this division. And he is an old-fashioned manager too.

You are right Wiz, time will tell. Although i wonder if he''ll start many matches now? It''ll be interesting to see.Lupoli going isn''t that worrying however, we have good enough competition up front now i think.
hogesar 9,671 Posted February 2, 2009 Also, i wonder if we received any money at all for it, because we had him signed to a one year contract, which in theory might mean we were paid some small amount?

I imagine we paid a loan fee, so Sheffield United may have paid us a nominal amount.
