First Wizard 0 Posted August 8, 2008 Over 25 starts to look silly, especially with a beer gut!.I have some superb official City tops, T shirts for summer and long sleeves for winter, as long as they display the City badge I''m happy.

Mazy Run 0 Posted August 8, 2008 I think ideally everyone should wear colours when going to the game (however old, fat or otherwise) - it''s part of supporting the team. It must be great for them to look up and see the stands full of yellow and green, especially at away games. But I don''t think replica shirts should be worn as a ''fashion'' item if you''re over thirty...Match days only for me...

First Wazzock 1,014 Posted August 8, 2008 Personally, I don''t care how old or fat or...if you wear your shirt you are a fan and that''s all that counts.
Hissing Sid 160 Posted August 8, 2008 I turn 40 in December, and I''m not the slimmest of blokes, but the shirt is still worn with pride every week.Lets face it, its a football match, not a fashion show!!
canary cherub 1 Posted August 8, 2008 Slightly OT but I can''t think of a finer sight in football than City fans in full regalia. Remember the playoff final? And we were chosen by "Match of the Day" to be the main feature on their intro for a whole season (1994/5?). No one can touch us, not even the Barcodes. Captain Holt 580 Posted August 8, 2008 I agree with wearing your colours etc. but I think you should stop at 25.
ncfcstar 342 Posted August 8, 2008 I agree with everyones sentiments, but I stopped wearing a replica shirt when I was 16, I just associate them with being a kid, and no offence, do laugh at some of the people I see wearing them on match days. The classic kits which you can buy in the store are a different matter though, because they are more like a t-shirt and I think you can get away with that, although I still don''t really wear that either. Replica''s should be kept the sole property of children IMO.I of course still wear my colours on a match day, but it is usually a yellow t-shirt and not the kit.
