Protests inside the ground

Recommended Posts

I would like to see the protests move inside the ground.  The effectiveness of HOOF!!   HOOF!!  was seen immediatly  The Wall of Silence was equally effective.  I for one am now a Boo Boy untill worthy is sacked!!!  it may make the games entertaining for me too!!

It would mean more publicity too! I will be singing for Worthington and the board to leave us alone inside the ground definately!

The protests can only be inside the ground from now on. Lets face it those running the club will be insulated in a lounge with their pink gins thinking we must be doing well - another full house. The thoughts of Skipper on the protesters are well known and I doubt he is alone. I suppose they do know that some have protested outside the ground but it doesn''t really affect them after all only two more games of hoofball to contend with then the summer break and the protesters will come back smiling for another season.

Perhaps even negative Nigel will be able to win a game or two away from home next season then all will be well. I even wonder whether the board wanted promotion this season or just another season in the championship with parachute payments to help to reduce the debt if so they should have made their case known I could have accepted that although not agreed with it.

I think that from now on protest inside the ground let the board know what you want "Worthington and the coaches out". We have nothing to lose we cannot get promoted, we won''t be relegated so" let them have it ". As the end of the season is nigh let them also know that the protests will carry through to the pre season friendlies - that might concentrate their minds a little rather than thinking we can sit out the next two home games then have a break.

Yeah, great idea, lets p*ss the team off some more, belittle their wafer thin confidence and drive our best players away in the summer who are sick of fickle fans. And problably lose the game too, I can hardly wait!

I reluctantly renewed my season ticket last week and sent a letter to Mr Doncaster under separate cover expressing my WO views. Frankly I was shocked at his reply which intimated there was no way Worthington was going and this was AFTER the Preston disgrace.

I am not a great one for mass demonstrations and, generally, would much prefer to rely on the intelligence and football knowledge of some members of the board to win through. I am now of the very strong opinion, however, that we must now follow our genuine instincts and protest in the ground vociforously.

I cannot believe the garbage that is eminating from the club. It is so incredulous as to make one beleive there is some deep mysterious agreement between Worthy and the board, for example it could have gone like this ''we want to build up capital in the company, we wont give you much money to spend but in return we guarantee you a job irrespective of performances on the field''

It may not be true but just look at the latest balance sheet from the club and see who benefits from this wonderful property company that we support - then look at what we have achieved on the pitch these last two seasons.

Come on all --- Let''s be havin'' him and his coaches out and if that doesn''t work it''s time to look at the board!!

Absolutely.

I will join in with chants if they happen.

But please keep the chants to the simple "Worthington Out!", this is the chant that i beleive that those who wouldn''t normally sing would chant.

Just keep shouting it repetitively Worthington Out!, Worthington Out!, Worthington out!.... and i could see it being taken up all around the ground if we are losing.

Chants such  as " we want Worthy out" and "come on lets be sacking him" will never catch on and will be confined to only the Barclay and Snakepit areas of the ground.

Even coffin dodgers in the City and South stands might shout "Worthington out!".

I totally agree. Protests needs to be anywhere and everywhere. I''d like to see more Worthy Out signs on roundabouts that I''ve seen dotted here and there. Marches, songs inside and out, petitions the lot.

Whatever it takes to ensure Worthington is sacked and I and the rest of the season ticket holders get value for money next season.

I''ve heard from a realible source that he''s been given til October.

TOO LONG!!!

Has it escaped you''re notice that we don''t have any decent players!! (Accept Hucks and McVeigh both of whom hate Worthy and want to see him gone as much as we do!)

If even people like you see that protesting is the only way there is hope! There will be thousands protesting in the ground and we will finally get rid of Worthy at last!!

Fickle Fans?!?!

Nigel Worthington has run his course, his managerial limitations become more obvious with every performance,  post match comment, and his writings in the paper!! It is now time for a change.  We need to make certain that change happens in the summer.

i sit in block E lower Barclay.

there have been numerous occassions since christmas where a "worthy out" chant or similar has started, only for trouble to flair up almost immediately. There have been sevearl scuffles and this creates  ill feeling. In my oppinnion, the same thing will happen on Monday.  Perhaps a simple suggestion would be for the Worthy outers to enter via one turnstile to take their seats in one part of the ground( may have to extend this to several) and the KTF brigade to use their own turnstile (one will do), and sit in their part of the ground (directors box should be big enough).

the opportunity is coming up against Wolves.. after the gam with the stadium packed.. dont leave the ground.. stay for the lap of "honour" and instead of applauding chant Worthy out.

The players will be there, Worthy will be there.. but most importantly Miss-Management (Delia) and the other Lackies will also be walking around the ground... what a great opportunity to let them ALL klnow what we really think about Worthington....

STAY in the ground after Wolves and make your fellings Known everyone...

jas :)

I think the fact that it has taken this long for City fans to get to the stage of a protest inside the ground shows just what a decent, tolerant, thick skinned bunch of fans this club has got. Despite having to endure a season of complete dross we have been polite, organised, constructive, well mannered and dignified even in the face of abuse from misguided KTFers. I see this moring Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell is considering resigning after receiving hate mail after their disappointing end to the season. Lets face it they have had a great season and may still go up. They have just faded away at the last hurdle and he gets death threats. Imagine what would have happened if they had just had our season. Board please take note.

The team might not be p*ssed off, who cares about confidence, while that twerp is in charge its irrelevant and the best players are going anyway

We have a number of quality players but Worthy can''t get them to perform. Green, Drury, Doc, Shacks, Hucks, McVeigh, JJ2, Earnie, McKenzie, Safri are all quality players!

Bang on Jas - Chant worthy out when he and the top bods get in front of

us (Barclay) - Maybe a big fat Worthington Out banner might do the

trick.

Do we protest in the ground when Worthy has a couple of young players in to give them the chance they deserve?

I have no doubt that the manager will put several young players in and will then bemoan when any negative atmosphere affects their performance - a win win for the manager who can say he was right about teh youth, if they dont perform, we are happy of they do and it is our fault if we lose and are negative...

The fans are nearly in a no win position if the club play their cards right.

Great post Zipper, sensible stuff

we have been fighting for these young guns to get a chance, and now they ''might'' get it! So are we going to protest infront of these youngsters who have (Whats left of) their footballing careers ahead of them?!

i think not

however if he does not include them then feel free to chant and do whatever you like!

[/quote]agree zip.  unless we lose today and against qpr, and a mass spontaneous protest occurs (unlikely) then protests inside are probably counterproductive.

The young players careers will benefit from getting rid of Worthington , does anybody really believe that they will break into the team next season if he is still here, just take a look at signing old man Thorne to play ahead of Jarvis. Nothing else should matter apart from getting rid of this manager whatever it takes.
