Good result for us

Recommended Posts

0-0 a good result, 1-0 or 2-0 win for us then with their crowd we would have been battered from the start and as we know we can't defend a lead. We have to attack them now, lm confident, as long as Sarge plays. Not bothered about Rowe, he's not fit aswell as being lazy. I don't rate him but rather have Fastnack in.

What's our away from home form this season been again? Bottom three you say? At times the worst in the entire divison?

I see.

eh ?

Assume we have to score, so at some point we are ahead, but ......

"we can't defend a lead"

" Not bothered about Rowe, he's not fit aswell as being lazy."

Have you watched Rowe at all? He can do things that no other player in this division can do - including Summerville.

I mean, it's not like he scored twice out of nothing against Ipswich or anything.

Our away form this season has not been bottom three. It took me 30 seconds to fact-check this; we are 19th in the away form table.

19th? Proved my point regardless, even though I were wrong I admit. Our away form is what worries me going into the away reverse.

That's irrelevant to my point, though, which is please stop posting stuff as fact that you've just plucked out of your ar5e.

Shocked to hear the OP doesn't rate Rowe. Shocked, I say.

Beat me to it.

Bet I can guess where he sits on the McCallum vs Gianoullis debate too...

Rowe is exceptionally talented. And certainly isn't lazy. I didn't see Stacey left defending on his own at all, while Rowe was on.

Jonny does sometimes find it hard to get involved in games. But like the Ipswich away game, he can pop up with goals from nowhere.

He's young and will only get better. He may still have his say in Thursday's result.

Did l say l didn't rate Rowe you Numpty! I said he's not fit plus lm sure a lot of fans think he's lazy, but class yes he can be.

Forget about away form this is a one off game!

I'm not that bothered about going up to the Premier Sh.te anyway, Championship going to be a great league next season

Rowe has the quickest feet of anyone in the championship and we are better with him in the team, oh, and he's definitely not lazy. That is a ridiculous accusation.

The last couple days just had thoughts of us losing at Elland Road but today been a lot more up beat - an expectant crowd, pressure on the team and nerves taking a part don’t see why a win for us cannot be achieved - after all the play offs normally throw up a bit of drama and shocks and we have not seen any yet

I think he meant he didn't rate Fastnack, whoever that is. But logically, if you'd rather pick someone you don't rate than player x, it surely follows that you don't rate player x. Unless...

Maybe it’s just me but I’d have rather won the game and would have considered a 2 or 3 nil victory a “good result”  We’re still massively in it but the pendulum has swung into Leeds favour I would say. It’s a cliche but the first goal will be so important on Thursday

I do find it a little bizarre that I've just been reprieved from a ban after a few months, my third one in fact, but this godawful binner is free to post the utter garbage that he does. I suspect the people who get a kick out of clicking "report" on my posts aren't all that bothered by some of the disgusting crap this w**ker comes out with.

If weare to beat Leeds need to score at least two.  If we are not ahead significantly on 70 mins expect to go out of PO's.  With Wagner making useless subs from our limited resources from the bench.  Maybe we will be out of the tie earlier than that if Leeds get out of their poor run of form and turn it on as they can.  You can tell I am not positive about Thursday but an early goal or two could change that provided the defence can perform.

Rowe is young, and based on what Wagner has said in the past such as having to send him for x-rays to convince him he wasn't injured, I think he's somewhat Anxious about being out for months again as he's hungry to play.

Rowe is definitely not lazy and is definitely extremely talented. Having said that, like most young players who have the gift of great individual talent, he needs to develop how he works alongside his colleagues. For me one of the most positive moments of the game against Leeds was the pass he made to Sainz just before he went off (I think this was when it happened). The old Rowe wouldn't have noticed Sainz out there but this Rowe made a fantastic pass.

It really augured well for the future, but sadly almost definitely not with us. The boy is ambitious and in a hurry.

I think you're being pedantic here, not CC making up facts. His point was obvious.

Yep, was really good to see him getting his head up more. Like you say he's young but he is improving weaker aspects of his game. I don't doubt he'll be sold one day but how? Does he improve year on year and we make Buendia type money or do we end up with another Cantwell situation selling on the cheap?

I think he's more focused than Cantwell, so I doubt he'll screw up his career in quite the same silly way. Having said that, I hope he can take a longer view and see the advantages of staying with us for another year. I'm not sure a move to a poorer PL team will help his career much, and if he goes to a bigger club he risks ending up on the bench and not developing.

On the other hand, he might look at Cantwell and think he's not going to waste the opportunity to strike while the iron is hot. I don't envy Rowe his choice. Very talented youngsters can easily fail if they make the wrong decision. We only have to look at Tzolis and how the move to Norwich stalled his career for two seasons.
