Love our Kenny, one of the most consistent performers. Despite changing position.

Kenny McLean is certainly going to go down as a footballer who played for us, that’s for sure.

I guess this means that because a mass more people like Kenny despite you hating on him and everything else at the club that they're sucking on the 'you know what'.

It must be really hard being so right at being wring about everything at the moment.

I thought from the title we were going out on the lash in Yarmuff and that was where we were meeting

Blimey! That's a blast from the past. A regular meet up place and many a good night had in there...

Remember that there were fans of this club who voted Craig Fleming POTS in 2003/04 and not Darren Huckerby !

Ah yes, that absolutely useless waste of space, somehow club-legend, and generally bad egg Craig Fleming...

...not like he was part of the meanest defence in the league or anything, or the better half of that central defensive partnership.

Nothing against Fleming ...but Huckerby winning ths POTS that year 'should' have been one of the most clear cut awards in the history of the Barry Butler trophy

In your opinion. Though if you ask Hucks, he'll say much of his success was down to Drury being so good defensively he rarely had to defend.

My POTS so far. Had he not been injured would have won it last season as well.

If Kenny doesn’t win POTS this year, it will most likely be because his name is Kenny McClean

You can still have a carp odious opinion though. And yours really wasn't made better by trying to suggest Fleming wasn't deserving of his as a way of saying McLean isn't worth of the accolade this season.

It pretty badly backfired. Especially when we don't have a Huckerby this season. Sargent might have been there were it not for injury. Rowe? Has he been as consistent? Even in one game? He can be having a very poor game, do very little and pop up and score. That could be a sign of quality yet to come... in the meantime Kenny is working his socks off ensuring there is a platform for a goal to give us a result.

Sara and Gunn would be the only other two noteworthy options. No one else has really had a consistent starting position and the performance levels to go with it.

Oh...so an opinion that differs yours is now 'odious'  ?

I do no believe anyone called Kenny McClean plays for us so would not be eligible for POTS. However a player called Kenny McLean does play for us and at this point in the season is probably the leading contender for the award.

I’ve long been a critic of Kenny and for last few seasons have used the fact that our failure to upgrade on him has been a key reason for our failure.

but even I have to admit that he has been really good this season and most definitely our most consistent performer.

At the moment he should definitely win POTS. But I still hope that one of our more dynamic players can have a brilliant end to the season ie Sargent, Rowe or Sainz. If that happens I think we could be in the playoffs.

If not we will be a bog standard championship team. It will then seem perfectly fitting for the POTS to be Kenny. A decent upper championship player who is a very good if unspectacular player.
