Bit of a gamble to start him after so long out, who's to bet he may pick up an injury?

And a straight red at 10/1

He has played a few behind doors friendlies to boost his fitness, but his put £100 at 3/1 to win a penalty.

How ironic that he will probably be facing Harry Toffolo in his first game back. So which match fixer takes precedence?

Oh come on. There's a big difference between betting and match fixing.

Unfortunately there is a pretty close link that is undeniable in this game. A small percentage but enough. I do agree that what Toffolo did and his age/situation appears pretty different though.

Toney's 262 offences, including betting against his own team, were committed when he was aged between 18 and 22. He bet on his own team's games 29 times, 13 times to lose, and didn't play in any of them.

Toffolo's 375 offences, including betting against his own team, were committed when he was aged between 18 and 21. He bet on his own team's games 40 times, 15 times to lose, playing in one of them.

Their offences are very similar.

However, Toffolo got a lighter sentence due to 'mitigating circumstances', including mental health issues and claiming that he wasn't aware that he couldn't bet on his own team's games. He also showed remorse, whereas Toney tried to cover it up.

He’s a very good player no doubt but on the eve of his return he’s saying he wants to play for a club that ‘ wins titles ‘.

Thanks Brentford for standing by me.

It's that sort of business though isn't it, what else could they do? Rip his contract up and let him sign for someone on a free?

Whilst ever players are such a valuable commodity, they'll always be protected.

He’s been caught on video a couple of times a while back making less than complimentary comments about his employer.

Smacks all over of ‘ Billy Big Bollox ‘
