Many years ago, I stood in the River End.  Looking at the pictures online of the stadium, with numerous improvements, I don't know which is the former River End.  I would appreciate some help, please.

The one with the river behind it.

Edit: Not meant to be as smartarse as it sounds. The railway line is behind the Barclay which is opposite.

If you're sat in the River End it has the South stand to it's right, and the smaller City stand to it's left.  Dugouts are on the City stand side (left) too.

Called Regency/Norwich & Peterborough stand nowadays.  I still call it River though

If you are looking at the most up-to-date photos, it has green seats top and bottom.

The Barclay has yellow at the top.

I think that's the linesman halfway along the goal-line too?  It's like a men in black meeting, where's the Aliens?

There's only room for them all because the little blue cars must have been on holiday...

Those were the days. Brilliant experience as a little kid, then we "graduated" to the South Stand when we were tall enough.

Who is the goalkeeper ? Hansbury?

It could have been Hansbury he was in the squad about that time.

Funny, in my head I thought he was a lot later

It must have been the first half as there are not any half time scores on the scoreboard.

That photo was from 7th April 1979, lineups:

4 goals in 20 mins too, bet that was a heartbreaker when Macari equalised.

According to that we didn’t have a goalie!

However Hansbury played in midfield  🙂

Henri Lansbury was, even though he's listed as a defender on that list!

Love how Jimmy Greenhoff is looking the other way when the ball is kicked.

They do that now, usually to block / foul the opposition.
