  1. Welcome aboard old chap. The colours alone make our club special. Not to mention the World’s oldest football song. Being a Norwich fan is never dull, so strap in!
  2. Meant to be in non-football. Sorry guys.
  3. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/nov/08/sweet-sorrow-caramac-fans-decry-nestle-move-to-discontinue-bar?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  4. If you are looking at the most up-to-date photos, it has green seats top and bottom. The Barclay has yellow at the top.
  5. And regarding his England appearance, he played in an England XI at Ipswich for Bobby Robson’s Testimonial, against an Ipswich team featuring his mate George Best.
  6. Question of my own... Keelan interestingly had two testimonials. In the second, the England captain at the time, played for the opposition. Name him.
  7. We had Oxford and Nethercott too, don’t forget. The latter was an extraordinary man. Chris Woods was a better all-round modern ‘keeper, but nobody tops Keelan. 60 fags a day and Ken Brown had to get him released from Bethal Street on more than one occasion on the morning of a match.
  8. I’ve always wanted a statue with three together. Keelan, with Forbes and Stringer either side. So obvious.
  9. Simply. An extraordinary player. My first and best City Hero. Used to smoke forty cigarettes a day, drink like a fish and the times Ken Brown had to get him out of Bethel Street on the morning of a game... The sooner we get that statue of Keelan, Forbes and Stringer, the better.
  10. The book and the film are completely different. I didn’t enjoy the book. It is full of awful (and unnecessary) language. The Clough family hated it, for the way it portrays Brian. It is largely fictional, in that it claims to see his thoughts, but is woven around certain key events, to validate them somewhat. They were scared of what the film would do to his memory, but the producer, director and the fabulous Sheen decided they were going to stick to the largely accurate and biographical facts. Hence, it is a wonderful film and was welcomed by the great man’s family. It was filmed at Saltergate (Chesterfield’s old ground) and did alter chronologically some events, but other than that, is the closest screen version of Cloughie’s actual autobiography, which is a great read.
  11. Don’t mention Brooks... Hauled a City player back when clean through. Only a booking. Smiles when he does it and puts his thumb up to the ‘keeper. And LDC. Exactly like Leeds. Hunter would go through Cross two-footed from behind, yet collapse like a lettuce wilted in the sun, if Big Ken Foggo brushed against him, while skinning poor little Norman.
  12. I am still fuming. The downright cheating... Screaming out loud, every time a City player brushed against them. The rolling around. Yanking our players back deliberately when we were through on goal and only getting bookings. Targeting Kenny for a second yellow. The list is endless. Reminded me of Middlesbrough, when they won 1-0 at ours.
