Needed a quality permanent defensive midfielder for every one of Webber's 5 years here.

He failed to recruit the Tettey successor. The only player we've had in that position who was fit to lace Tettey's boots was Skipp and he was one that we always knew we wouldn't have a hope in hell of keeping.

All the money has now been spent and we need to rebuild the squad

Hardly anyone to sell to raise funds even Aarons contract is running down

Webber really has wasted the money

Overall, our signings have been poor.

Go as far as to say, staggering incompetency.

Completely fed up with seeing Kenny McLean in an Norwich shirt

Decent championship player… but that’s it. He’ll never impress or run a game against the top 6-8 sides in this division.

Did Tzolis run a couple of marathons before coming on to the pitch?

He looks completely shot…

Has he touched the ball yet ?!

We need to sign players with hunger from lower leagues with points to prove and energy drive

I really thought that buying a Brazilian midfielder meant we were going to see tricks, flicks and shots. No. He is ordinary even in this league.

‘Ordinary’ would be a compliment to some of this lot……

Well this game is going to have little or no bearing on whether we get promoted or not.

But by the sounds of it, it's going to have quite a bearing on whether I want us to get promoted.

Sounds like the away game, just miles short of a team who will presumably be in a relegation battle next year. You can't bridge that gap in four months.

The Buendia-Pukki link up was pretty much the sole reason we've had the success we've had since Webber came in. You take that factor out and we've never had anything better than a top 8 Championship side. He did so well in his second Summer window to find Buendia and Pukki and turn us from a bottom half Championship team into once capable of competing for promotion but since then we've not improved the quality of our squad in any window. We're simply not on Burnley's level or anywhere close to one that could go up comfortably and have a shot of staying up like them.

I think Webber knew this which is why we spread ourselves thin trying to upgrade the overall quality of the squad in the summer of our last PL season but it failed spectacularly, we spent all our money to stand still. Is it money or is the recruitment team very ordinary? Probably a bit of both, but we are where we deserve to be in terms of the individual quality of our squad. Having two seasons in the PL and winning the league twice has lead people to believe that we should be too good for this league, but the honest answer is the only part of our team that has ever been too good for this league or PL quality was the link between Pukki and Buendia, the rest has always been Championship quality and there's nothing any coach can do about that.

Been saying this all season, promotion is an absolute fantasy!

Yep.

Blown it all. The Godrey, Lewis and Buendia money jizzed up the wall. With Pukki leaving on a freebie in the summer.

Meanwhile Burnley have completely transformed themselves with the Dwight Neil and Nathan Collins money.

£3m for Josh Cullen, £1m for Vitinho and our players can't get anywhere near them.

Utterly outclassed by a much better side. They deserve to be where they are, we are a long way off their level.

Webber's the problem. Our recruitment is the problem. Players are out there for the taking on the cheap. Burnley are proving it. Brentford are proving it. Brighton have proved it.

We had a good recruitment and scouting team, then they all jumped ship, not had a decent transfer window since.
