Please see my posts from the beginning. I am reporting what’s happening and multiple sources saying we are talking to Bruce.
As another update Bruce is on the March, now as low as 8/1.

I was talking about Wagner rather than Bruce, but re Bruce is it multiple sources saying we are talking to Bruce or one report from Football Insider which is simply being repeated multiple times?

I haven't seen one report from a reputable journalist saying we are in talks. For example if Charlie Wyett, who seemed to be first with the news of Smith's sacking, was reporting it that would be significant. But all I can see at the moment is what usually happens. Namely that a non-reputable source makes an unevidenced claim and in the absence of any genuinely-sourced news it gets picked up and repeated ad infinitum to fill the vacuum.

…and every bookmaker who receives a bet on such a phantom rumour - of anyone who turns out not to get the job - makes a net profit…

Actually I can believe Bruce has tried to talk to us, only to be told that sadly Mr Webber is unable to take his call just at the moment...

If it's Wagner I'll be pleased, similar likeable personality to Farke and can get the fans behind him, tactically his football is more about pressing than possession and I'd also be happy with that. If it's Martin or Robins I'll be disappointed and if it's Bruce I'll stop watching until we have a complete regime change.

Part of me wants another unknown manager from a foreign league with a promising if unproven record, that's riskier but would be much more exciting than all of the names linked

Sexy Bennett has basically just ****-pooed Bruce and Wagner.

He's a proven fake though isn't he. Had a good run then got several things massively wrong.

Yep, and most money gets dumped on the favourite, so they did extremely well out of Lampard not fancying us.

It's a girl and she definitelybdoes have contacts whether they're right or wrong most of the time.

At the minute, the only person who has any idea who the next manager will be is Webber and we all know that he isn't much for speaking to anyone in the press these days. Anything that is said right now is either completely made up or coming from the agents of potential candidates.

…yes indeed….and who made ‘the favourite’…?….…🤩…a nice few PR-placed stories, creating a feeding frenzy, creating a favourite….that then doesn’t win…

…not absolutely dishonest…but….but….

I've always considered it a bit dodgy that a major broadcaster of sports rumours (Sky Sports News) shares a parent company and brand with one of the major sportsbooks (Sky Bet) which offers 'next manager' and 'next club' odds. Feels like a vested interest!

I hear that the deal to sign Bruce is nearing completion - he just needs to check out the quality of our pies, and their availability. He is also asking for a "minimum number of scampi per portion" clause to be inserted.

I don’t think we can afford Bruce’s pie and scampi bill…

Well, me old Prosciutto di Parma ammuffito, my guess would be something like: -

"Presumi sempre l'incompetenza prima di cercare la cospirazione"

..but I could be wrong, it has happened.

Bets wishes (see what I did there?)

I think ‘It is double the pleasure to deceive the deceiver’ might be more appropriate for ‘nostri amici’ at Skybet and their questionable antics…

…taking their money for the PUPS https://www.communitysportsfoundation.org.uk/news/amazing-support-from-fan-groups/    is thoroughly pleasing non ci credi @nutty nigel?…🦮🦮

This ^^^

All designed to encourage people to bet and boost interest in betting and in the process line Sky's coffers.

Who bets on next managers anyway?  No-one with any sense - there are much more predictable things to bet on.

Liven up Lakey it’s a bit of fun. Don’t think there’s much you can gamble on with a bookmaker and make money. This thread is about what other people think, and in the case of Steve Bruce laughing, not who will definitely be the next Norwich manager.

Yeah, I know, I was just commenting on TVB's post, which struck a chord with me, a TV company that has a betting company, giving a lot of attention to betting.....

I’d like someone with energy, ideas to complement and improve on what Farke started … but first I’d like the club to acknowledge the current ability and strength of this squad, accept it’s not ready for the EPL (that would be a disaster) and get us back on another journey!

Here’s some news from the betting front, Wagner now going back out 6/4 I can see, but the man on the move now is Russell Martin, went to 10’s this morning now 3/1.

That would be the thickest appointment Webber could make.

Wonder if there are rumours he will be sacked if they lose tonight ? As due to money they won’t sack him whilst there is a chance we are interested.

I know there are huge differences in the wage bill and playing budget between Swansea and Norwich, but they are doing no better than us (10 game form table)

Looks like Mark Fotheringham is actually doing better!

He’s done absolutely nothing so far in his managerial career to warrant any interest here. The last time Norwich paid compensation was £2m to Birmingham to get ‘Cautious Chris’ We don’t like paying out unnecessarily and definitely shouldn’t regarding Martin.
