Flattering to Deceive

Recommended Posts

appear promising but ultimately disappoint

Is the phrase you are looking for. It’s what I’ve noticed all season.

There’s a rotten core at this club and we won’t improve until it’s dealt with. This club needed revolution after what happened last season and we got Dean Smith and a new logo.

I don’t think anyone would disagree that IF we go up we need a serious squad investment to have any chance.

Is Smith and Shakey the right combination for us? I’m not yet convinced but still hoping they will come good.

I don't  think we even flattered.

Some fancy passing in non dangerous areas but that's about all.

Seven wins and two draws in the last nine.

I too would like to see some more exciting football, but the results justify the means.

It doesn't alter the fact that this squad should look way better than what we are seeing.

We haven't flattered once all season! We are boring dross and nothing will change under this useless berk.

The results are flattering, and certainly impressing the simpler fans

like jangling keys in front of a newborn. Unable to compute the bigger picture.

Are we 2nd top or 2nd bottom? You’ve obviously only been supporting Norwich for around half a dozen years.

Can a one year old decide who he supports?

Its terrible being second and unbeaten in 9 games.

It’s terrible that that has distracted you from the bigger problems, the impending problems.

There's definitely a halo effect in our judgement. There's no need to mention Farke explicitly by name in our cases, but when we're essentially showing some degree of discontent with the style of football played, it is nolens volens a comparison with the football played under recent previous managers.

I would ask this question: whilst we've looked under the cosh on occasion, do many of us think we'd probably have conceded more goals by being even more open when out of possession?

I'd much rather watch our team's playing style than Reading's every week.

Well, I have good news for you, you can enjoy that for a while longer

or at least until our American friends demand we get Steve Cooper

oops! Spoiler alert!

We will win this league quite comfortably. Performances so far have been pragmatic but the results still keep coming. Time to chill out everyone.

Yes but what then?

Go ahead and chill now but pay for it next season

Give it a rest....it's obvious that the squad's suffering from coach lag......the mechanised coach version and the Deano human one....

Not at all i am very happy to see us picking up points when we look average. In fact i couldn't care less as long as we keep winning and coupled  with a sprinkle of away draws.

And then what? This football is aimless. There’s no substance to it at all.

let’s say we win promotion. It’ll be 10-0 every game. Ten Nil.

There’s no joy being stuck in this league for a decade. Perpetual failures (players) in the Premier League will need to be moved on quickly though. We can only hope the slow change of power at the top makes a difference.

Lets worry about that if we go up.

Yeah, let’s hobble into the premier league and hope for the best for the, what, fifth time in recent years? This club has big problems and this “a draw away from home is a good result” attitude is wool being pulled over the eyes. We still have the same massive mentality issues, a bloated squad with players that aren’t good enough to make the transition and a mass lack of leadership through all areas of the club let alone the footballing side of things.

All of that is on the back burner while we hobble into the premier league, d1ck up another transfer window and get thoroughly embarrassed in a whole new way.

No. I won’t pretend there aren’t issues.
