Norwich and Cardiff charged by The FA

Recommended Posts

"It is alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 66th minute of the fixture. Both clubs have until Monday 8 August to provide a response.

That's easy then.......just reply "It was their fault"

It seems to be standard nowadays - any hambags with more  than 3 players seems to be punished.  Def a fine incoming

Probably be a £25K or £50K fine. As for players wading in, I didn't think it was bad at all. I'd rather teammates pile in if their mate's getting kicked around. Sign that the team spirit is decent.

It was the best part of the game and good to see us show a bit of spirit 🤣

Was just about to say the same, more fight than we'd seen in the entirety of last season!

Nah Hermano it's where Delia puts the proceeds of other people paying to watch her trainset. Do keep up.

It is stupid that that would get teams fined.

I wish football would take a leaf out of Rugby's book. Even when a few punches a thrown the ref just tells them to stop it, sort themselves out and carry on. Footballers look stupid when they throw themselves to the floor if they are touched above the shoulders but the rules don't help. If someone doesn't throw themselves to the floor, their coach is probably having a go at them for missing an opportunity to gain an advantage.

There is no way a professional level Rugga referee would allow that sort of a farce to have happen in a game. They'd have been dealing with the unsportsmanlike crap from the get go. Cardiff would have had to got their act together or be several players down by half time.

Think that’s definitely the issue. Probably can only be changed by clear rules and strong, consistent officiating.

When individual decisions are potentially worth millions clubs are going to do everything to get an advantage.

Agree regarding the game in general but specifically at that incident in isolation, it would have been handled so much better. "Stop it, Captain, sort your players out", "Yes, sir".
