Villa v Liverpool

Recommended Posts

Funny how everyone slagged Villa off this time last year and are now wishing we’d done what they did.  The power of hindsight is strong in some!

Remember when we beat Man City?

We sure did but didn’t win many other matches. Can’t dine out on that forever.

There was a lot of jealousy that the spending might work.

It is possible to comment on another game without moaning endlessly about City. There are about a thousand other threads to do that.

And there was a lot of hope that it wouldn't just to make our model look less  sh1t.

That’s not what I saw/read.  And to me it is still nauseating that it ‘worked’ - I’d never want to risk ruination of my club, something that ultimately relied on a computer system failure to get there.

If we had stayed up we wouldnt miraculously be top 4 now

We would have another **** depressing season hoping to finish above WBA fulham burnley and sheff utd, and we wouldnt.

There are crazy results but the season will calm down and teams will pretty much finish where expected.

Incredible, a different team does well and somehow it turns into a complaint about us.  Give it a rest!  All it proves is what I have been saying for years - it's football and anything can happen.

All I can say is I’m glad Alisson was injured. Had transferred him into my fantasy team this week and I took Mings out expecting Villa to be on the end of a thrashing. At least Salah has got me a few points!

Liverpool have officially disappeared up their own arses. An abject performance that’s been coming for ages. They believe their own hype. The Liverpool golden generation lasted about as long as the England golden generation.

Why aren't we Sheffield United........... (oh sorry, wrong year)

Ah! Best one.

Never know, by January it could be back to wanting to be Sheffield United - although I did have them down for relegation this season.

Ah hang on. The majority of this board have slagged Villa off since the start f last season for spending money on their team. Now a few point out the possible benefits of doing that is now being reaped and you take to your high horse. Can’t have it every way!
