  1. @feedthewolf I bet is very close as a lot of games have been less than the average ticket cost with a season ticket. If results don’t improve and attendances drop the natural thing to do is charge less for casual tickets, which means the gap between season tickets and casual tickets narrows further At the minute I guess if you miss just 1 or 2 games it works out cheaper to buy casual tickets A drop was never on the cards, prices simply don’t ever come down anymore
  2. Sorry thats way too over-simplified. Take defenders for example, Listing them like that - but there is no cover for right back. Midfielders - virtually every player listed is a CM Forwards - only 1 of them is a striker We may well see them in the next 10 days, but these are issues we have had since August. instead we have got rid of any genuine cover (Jerome, Wildschut & Martin) and are hoping we dont get any injuries
  3. @tricky It doesnt matter if they were playing though. Football is a squad game, its not about the 11 players on the pitch. What happens if Nelson has more injury issues? What happens if Pinto has more injury issues? What happens if Murphy pulls a hamstring? We have very few players ready to step in
  4. Lets be honest, he has little to no chance of being Citys no1. They have just spent a massive amount in Ederson (30mil+), and he is only 24. You would expect he is their no1 for the next 5-7 years or so. I think we certainly should be having the discussion with City as to what their valuation is, and discuss sell on clauses or buy-back options. Staying at City could easily get him lost in the ''system''
  5. From a quick glance at the squad, we have... 1 striker, attitude has been questioned over & over again 1 right back, who went off virtually exhausted weds night 1 winger, who is in good form but has been in poor form this season That''s simply not enough for this league. I don''t see the logic in selling Jerome without having his replacement lined up, its not exactly uncommon not to sell until you have a player lined up
  6. The only thing I remember Lewis doing wrong was slipping in the box although that was because his feet gave way off the pitch. other than that a truly great perform, ance from soembody who has jumped at the chance in the first team. As for the goal, it was outrageous all round. Klose can barely play a 10 yard pass yet can whip in a cross with his weak foot to a player who has no right to be in that position, who flicks in a header Kane would be proud of...
  7. Playing deeper suits him. Put him further forward and the play slows down
  8. The BBC have posted the clip from all angles including a slo-mo with the caption saying Shearer thinks VAR is a shambles. Literally everybody other than Chelsea fans seem to think Willian was already well on his way down before the contact, which suggests VAR actually worked perfectly
  9. @AJ That was also a criticism aimed at Jerome, which suggests it may be tactical than down to the players
  10. Willian brings his legs together, buckles his legs and drags his feet looking for contact. If the ref says he saw the contact but deems Willian has gone looking for it than it’s hard to argue against him
  11. Don’t want to be the negative one but... The squad is down to the bare bones. I just hope we have enough left in the tank for Sheff Utd as we don’t have the luxury of changes. Pinto went off injured and we have got rid of our only RB back up. Oliveria has to be able to go for 90minutes again. If we go on a similar post-Arsenal run will this heroic defeat be in vain?
  12. Klose cross to Lewis? What a bizarre world! Lewis has been outstanding all game
  13. It’s not exactly edge of the seat stuff, but I will take that This Chelsea team is really poor, they can keep having shots from 25/30yards Jeans looked a bellend when he criticised Gunn for not doing enough only to be told he saved it in the first place
  14. How dare people go to football and have a different point of view to that person that wrote that. Amazing that such a big supporter is happy enough to divide the supporters into 2 completely different groups.
  15. I would say we need 2 strikers, 1 more experienced and maybe 1 young Prem striker. If Oliveira goes then we need 3 in my opinion
  16. We are left with 1 senior striker, who has fitness issues. Surely we wouldn''t let Jerome go without having a replacement lined up? What happens if Oliviera pulls his hamstring against Chelsea? We will have literally no strikers?
  17. The loan-back idea makes sense - the buying club still gets their man and Maddison isn''t going to walk into a Prem team just yet. Spurs would be a great club for him, he wouldn''t get lost in the ''system'' like he could at a Chelsea/Man City etc and would stand a real chance of making an impact. Now, hypothetical question time. We sell Maddison in January to Spurs, loan him back, go on a great run and get promoted via the playoffs. Maddison controls the game at Wembley, sticks one in the top corner & wins us promotion. Do we try & buy him back?
  18. Grabban I jest of course, but he is available and had scored 12 goals in this league so far this season for the team stuck at the bottom of the league, so clearly knows where the net is
  19. I don’t think money has anything to do with it. Basel are 2nd in the league, he would be playing in the Champions League and put himself right in the view of the Swiss manager in a World Cup year Can you really criticise him if it’s a move he wants?
  20. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42667650 If someone can make a clicky it would be great. Interesting view into the mindset of a footballer during the transfer window, and the uncertainty that surrounds it.
  21. Put a half decent goal scorer in that team and we stand a much better chance. The good news is a good Championship striker is available on loan, who has scored 12 or so goals this season. The bad news is his name is Lewis Grabban...
