1.
It was always going to be likely that one of Olsson or Garrido would move on, both are likely on big wages. I''d rather Garrido moved on than Olsson, but then again he would probably be a tremendous player in the Championship so not too worried.
Lets stop using wages as a reason for players moving on, McNasty has already stated on several occasions that all players had relegation clauses in their contract. Their salaries will reduce, that may make the players reconsider their position, but the club are good financially so wont sell for this reason. Failure to get promotion this season may mean that we have to offload some players due to reduced umbrella payments, but nothing urgent right now.
2. Bassong, Fer and RVW are on their way out, they havent been allocated squad numbers. No. 5 going to Russ Martin. oh, and dont ask for source, this info comes from within the club but I''m hardly likely to go naming them as they will face disciplinary actions.
3.
Ultimately, it will be in Snodgrass'' hands whether he stays. How the club play the deal will demonstrate how much truth is in their rhetoric.
Erm, no, its in the clubs hands, he is contracted to us, he will move if we allow him to.
4.
Young loan players not been good for us? What about: Kyle Naughton Daniel Pacheco Henri Lansbury Fraser Forster Kieran Gibbs Ryan Bertrand? All been pretty damn good in recent years. It''s good for cover, and if they can prove themselves and take the place of a senior player then so be it. With regards to our own young players, yes I too would like some of them to be given a try, but the types of players I''ve listed above are generally a little further down the line in their development than the likes of McGeehan, Morris, Loza etc are currently.
Kyle Naughton - Give you that one Daniel Pacheco - A favourite with the fans for sure, but he didnt set the world alight. Remembered mainly for scoring against Ipswich. Signed same day as Sam Vokes, remember him, me neither. Henri Lansbury - On the whole a good signing with some critical contributions so agree. Fraser Forster - Give you that one Kieran Gibbs - Only played 7 times and if memory serves only came good in the last couple of games, gone on and done well but dont think he can be considered a successful signing for us. Ryan Bertrand? - Give you that one. So I make that 4,I said I could count them on 1 hand. We have had some pretty dire ones too.
5. Bringing in youngsters from other premier league clubs has not worked well for us in the past, you could count the successes on 1 hand. We have promising youngsters of our own that we can give a chance to. It appears that you have just gone through the big Prem clubs, picked out some players who have a good reputation and assumed they are better than what we have. Nathanial Chalobah (CM) - Chelsea Serge Gnabry (AML) - Arsenal Nick Powell (AMC) - Man U Michael Keane (CB) - Man U. James Wilson (ST) - Man U Harry Kane (ST) - Spurs Gustavo Varela (RB) - Man U Luke Garbutt (LB) - Everton
6. I don''t think that Grabbans signing means Wolf is heading out, just reinforcing the front line. Realistically, who is going to want to sign a player who scored 1 goal in the previous season? Also, we paid a lot for him, would the club be willing to take the financial hit to get him off the books? I''m not so sure, I expect him to be here come the start of the season.
7. I came onto the forum to post pretty much the same thing. Its done, time to get behind the new manager and the team.
8. I am shocked and angry at some of the negativity directed at McNally, how short peoples memories are! This club has come so far under his leadership, Ok, we know that Hughton should have been sacked earlier in the season, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Wrong decision made for the right reasons.
9. He does not need a big money move right now, he needs game time or he will go the way of so many promising U21 players. No need to sell, he didn''t set the world alight in the Prem and 1 game for the U21s is not going to change a clubs valuation of him. Simply, nobody will pay the sort of fee we are going to command for him so he will stay.
10. This means nothing, we will have a short list of candidates and will interview them (talks) to establish the best candidate for the job, same as any other job in the world.
11. McNally has made 1 big mistake since coming to our club, on the whole he has been excellent and anyone who thinks otherwise really needs to take a step back and look at where we came from. He tried to do the right thing by sticking with Hughton, sadly, that was the wrong decision made for the right reasons. You could argue that Hughton wasn''t the right man for the job but that''s debatable. We will be in an eviable position next season, financially secure and no need to sell, we will have managers banging on the door. Personally, I think its too early for Adams to take the reigns, I wouldn''t want him to be the next Bryan Gunn.
12. Spot on, flabbergasted by some of the comments. Fulham is the only game of the last 5 where we can realistically expect to get 3 points. We would not get 3 points under Hughton so we needed something to change. I don''t think the players were behind Hughton despite what they said publicly but Neil is highly respected at the club and I''m hoping, as are the board, that he can get something from that 1 game. 3 points against Fulham and all of a sudden, we are looking safe and can play our last 4 games with some freedom with the pressure off. RVW to score winning goal against Fulham, that would be special.
13. Form is temporary, class is permanent, get off his back, he will come good. Norwich play a style of football that he has probably not experienced in his career, he is new to the league and was disrupted by injury. He has also had very few clear cut chances, he had more chances on Sat that he has probably had in total all season. Sat was his best performance so far and he was unlucky, missed one good chance and a good save by keeper for the other. I''m predicting a goal against Swansea, then another 4/5 by end of the season....
14. Spot on, I really despair, I don''t know how this clown can walk straight back into the team. What sort of message does it send to the players when a player can put in a very good performance (Pilks) and then get dropped for the next game. Snoddy is a good championship player, not prem quality.
15. Team of the week, is that a joke. He was terrible for 88 mins of the game, he scored a wonderful goal, no doubting that at all, but his performance was well below par. He was shocking for the WH goal and showed absolutely no desire or will to work hard for the team. Just stood back and watched it all happen!
16. Hughtons post match comments were absurd! “At 2-1 it really looked like we could get something from the game, but then of course you have to make decisions. And at that stage its you either settle for what you’ve got or you endeavour to try and get back in the game.” Is he seriously suggesting that after being 2- and bringing it back to 2-1, that we should even consider taking what weve got... Nothing!!! Cant complain too much about Arsenals first goal, its possibly one of the best team goals I have ever seen, if that was Barcelona, the press would be dribbling all over it.
17. Pilks was superb yesterday, a real threat.  I see Redmond as first choice on the left but on current form, Pilks should get in ahead of Snodgrass.  Snoddy had a better game, but has still been woefully below par this season.  Get Pilks and Redmond on together, they can switch as and when required.
18. Erm, no. Rediculous post.  He has barely had a sniff of goal but has been working the defence hard.  He is still adapting to the game.
19.
Hughton really can''t win.
Best quote lol
20. Snoddy needs to lay off the junk food, he lives near me and everytime I see him he has KFC or McD''s.
21. 2 will be announceed on Friday.  No source, just guess work like 99% of the rumours posted on this forum.
22. He would probably be first choice at Arsenal and playing champions league football for one of the best clubs in the league.  If they came in with a good £12-14m bid, I say take it and wish him well.  I dont want him to leave, but he deserves European football, he is good enough.
23. Really good signing, provides Garrido with stern competition and provides us with tactical flexibility.  Bring on LeRoy and Toby too!
24. The only moronic thing I have read today is this post.
25. The promoted teams are gambling their future to stay in the Prem, I wouldnt want Norwich to do that. Palace are expected to sign Dwight Gayle for £8.5m, thats excessive to me.  Cardiff are trying to sign Wanayama for £12m, again alot of money.  Cardiff have signed the young Danish international which is a very good signing, but he is 1 player.  Norwich have signed RVW, a dutch international striker for around the same fee.  So tell me, who is doing the best business.
