I see Villa have had to cancel their October goal of the month competition....as they didn''t manage a single goal all month. [:D]
-
Dropping Ruddy
drurys testamonials V 15 replied to Move Klose's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''ve usually noticed that if Ruddy is doing nothing then we have possession and are making attacks on the opposition''s goal. Then again, he''s not really doing nothing as he''ll be watching and anticipating the next moves. -
Everyone has stated that we have the best players and squad in the league; our board, other managers, pundits, fans, football websites. We are probably not the best team though, we could very easily be though I suspect
Well pointed out mrs m. We have a lot of talent but they need to play together. If we look back to our history there have been seasons we have had a brilliant team and won promotions/finished high but, at the time, other teams have had some superior individual players. It''s about getting the best out of the 11 men on the pitch.
Don''t dissagree mnc, but Adams took a job anyone of us would have too.. I don''t believe he should get some of the personal stuff aimed at him. For me the board have a lot to answer for as its the third time they appointed an inexperienced manger who has been a disaster! They have failed to learn from previous mistakes.
Agreed. Sadly. I''d just say the gamble to try an unproven manager hasn''t paid off as well as the board had hoped. That''s what happens with gambles. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose.

The minutes silence on Friday
drurys testamonials V 15 replied to ncfc fan's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Was well respected where I stood. Shows it can be done. Let''s stop this clapping business namely a minute''s applause for former players etc when they sadly die and show them the respect properly. -

Anyone else not got their AGM documents?
Nope not got mine either by post or e-mail.
Must be another batch or 2 in the depths of Royal Mail waiting to be delivered. Maybe Mr Fry can use his influence to get them delivered on time [:P]

Neilo, there's only one Neilo
Jerome was taken off to avoid any further damage to the gash on his knee and O''Neill was taken off to avoid a second yellow card. He''d just had a warning from the ref with Martin present too. You would expect the replacements to be able to see the game out wouldn''t you?
Interestingly some callers on Canary Call failed to see these reasons for the subs and thought they were poor decisions. It was obvious to me and everyone close by why they were the way they were as you have explained Drazen. -
so hpw should we approach Friday?

My approach is always go to bed Thursday and when I get up it''s Friday -
Sky sources Leroy fer :(
Sorry John cant agree. Big players will not want to play in Championship, end of...
What about Ruddy then? -
Sky sources Leroy fer :(
drurys testamonials V 15 replied to ncfc1902's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Felt like he was saying goodbye at the end of the game when he walked around the ground applauding the fans. Could be the reason he came on as sub. If so, contradicts Adams'' statement of not knowing he is off... -
Booing Redmond!

No-one booed where I sit in Lower Barclay. -
We''ll probably be able to let one of our medical team go now too, he surely had his own dedicated person? One thing I don''t understand is the beeb''s insistence on quoting a fee of 1m when it is officially undisclosed and those ''itk'' our end are saying c2m.
On his day when fit Pilks can be a great player but when fit is a key point given how many matches he''s played in his time here.
Yellow Since 72 has a decent point. Where are the goals coming from? Hooper and Grabban (last season anyway) both have form at this level, but Lafferty has never been prolific. Redmond, Bennett, Howson, Hoolahan, Surman, Fer, Tettey, Johnson and O''Neill have hardly banged them in for fun in recent seasons. Struging to see where the 80 goals are going to come from unless the next 2 weeks are fruitful in the transfer market.
Well, looks like Johnson, Grabban and Tettey are in the mix already. Plus we had more shots on gola yesterday than the whole of last season. That''s how it felt IMO.

Sick of Redmond
drurys testamonials V 15 replied to Matt Morriss's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I too find Redmond very frustrating. Lots of talent, but no footballing brain hence no end product. People say "he''s young, he''ll learn", but I don''t see it myself. Nothing has changed in a whole season under two different coaching teams. Time to cash in.
Agree with this. Where I sit several people have similar opinions about Redmond which we discussed yesterday. -
I think Ruddy is staying...
I''m sure his surname is just an amalgamation of two of confectionery''s. Mmm what ever happened to Toffo''s???
I ate them! [:D] -
Anything less than promotion is not a success. We should not have been relegated as decisions should have been made earlier. However they weren''t made and now we''ve got to live with the consequences of those unmade decisions. The Championship is no easy league to win and we have the advantage of parachute payments to build our squad. What matters is how that money is spent. It needs to be on players who compliment and add to the current players who''ll be staying which RVW didn''t do because despite being a competent goal scorer couldn''t play in our set-up last season and that was over-looked when he was bought.

Fate Worse Than Death
drurys testamonials V 15 replied to danielsroundabout's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
City first you are clearly insensitive to the fact that a VERY large percentage of the norwich fan base are deeply disappointed by the latest decision by our clubs board. You have no right to tell people to pxxs off when they wish to Express and vent their disappointment using forums like this. Everyone has different ways of releasing the anger and many of us on here are using this forum to try to come to terms with the situation if you can''t handle it I suggest you take a break from this site for a few weeks.
well said -
