1. no point getting bitchy , i always think that is best -
2.

yep . decent crowds at bot hlegs of the final and replay and semi final - practically no players from either team made it into either our or Evertons first team ( except Mark Farrington - who played for them but got signed by us and was an awful player )
Well, I don''t think that Louis Donowa, Tony Spearing and Jeremy Goss did do too badly for themselves afterwards. Although I agree that no-one reached great heights.
Louie Donawa played about 18 months on and off in our first team , Tony spearing was a second choice full back and Jeremy Goss had a good six months , but I believe holds the record for the longest time to get to 100 appearances - none were ever first choice for a long period of time and had Goss not scored against Munich he would be remembered as a very poor bit part player
The players who went on to play for the first team were Spearing, Goss, Donowa, Clayton (including the League Cup semi final at Ipswich), Godbold and Crowe (both once only I think) and Rigby. Mark Metcalfe looked like he would have a first team career but was badly injured. That was the best youth team I have seen at Norwich
I remember the team announcement at Ipswich in the Milk Cup Semi Final and the name Clayton was announced - 11,000 NCFC fans groaned as one and the talk around me was wht did Ken Brown pick him for such an important game Rigby and Crowe played successfully for Wroxham for many years and Mark Metcalfe was always a bit lightweight to my mind We see it now , youth players full of promise who look great , end up playing locally - Cave Brown , Fisk , Halliday to name the first three that came into my head

5.
Cant believe they charged us £18 tonight
A City fan I know went into the Home area for £ 12 and saw lots of familiar faces - when challenged said he had travelled over from Cambridge
6. largely down to a decent price structure - wasn;t so long ago we were getting 15,000 on a good day - even in EUrope we got that - pricing structuire geared to season tickets helps , we have decent support , but if prices increased it would fall away
7. i noticed that as well - they make more of it in the book - however I believe that the filming was at Chesterfield as that was the most authentic 60''s style ground they could find
8.
I''ll be going to the Stevenage one as I live about a mile from the ground... They always advertise the next match on a massive board outside the ground, it seems strange seeing Norwich on there! Should be a good game
It won;t be a good game - it is a friendly , they are never good games
9. 1 they are at least 6 leagues below us 2 it was a friendly 3 it was 90 degrees 4 the substitutions destroy any flow 5 IT WAS A FRIENDLY 6 who cares
10. sure there will be enough burgers ? 6 pack oughtto do
11. cost is too much - £ 70 for me and two kids for both Newcastle are not much of a drawand I cannot stand everton - sure the Spurs Friemndly was about £ 5 and £ 1 and got a full house - even if teh River End I was in was full of Norfolk spurs
12. 13 committee members - wow that seems a bit top heavy , are they basing it on the EEC or the United Nations . I always feel that they come across a bit we are right , everyone who disagrees is wrong ( may just be me though !!! ) never been interested in joining as I cannot see what the benefits are , is there anything tangible to be gained by becoming a member - what happens to subscriptions etc
13. can any representation be made to either club by fans organisations ( NCISA ) so the suffolk mob have any literate supporter group that can do it from there - this is ridiculous - almost wish we had stayed down in league 1 proper football at proper kick off times
14. can we ask the railway to schedule engineering work that day and also the council to dig up the A140 , that way we can sell no tickets in Suffolk and have Carrow Road filled with 27,000 NCFC supporters and keep the unclean mob away 1130 is a joke !!!!
15. are the fans that bad ? See that the Sheffield derby is rarely changed and that looked far worse on TV Even Cardiff vs Swansea is Midweek evening without problem - we are a bunch of savages here aren;t we
16. where last year every Newcastle game was on either BBC or Sky , that place will now be taken by Leeds , the new media darlings fo the championship - despite the fact that the champions of League one finished 9 points ahead of them and only had 1 season at that level , instead of Leeds four
17. it will be one of 23 teams either at home or away , and then we will play all of them home and away and at the end of the season they work out the table based on the results - It is irrelevant who we start with - look at last year for an example of that
18. Whilst I accept that Mr Cowling is a hot headed idiot , who appears to have a huge vendetta against NCFC , I do feel that the reporting of his email exchange is a bit over the top. The guy has probably received hundreds of abusive mails from NCFC fans over the past year , he chose to reply to one ina similar tone to which it was sent ( okay his choice of language was wrong ) and the receiver goes running toa newspaper with , look what the nasty man did !!!! PErhaps we should finally be above this spat , and let Mr cowling continue his starnge comments and diatribe , without us replying , commenting or acknowledging him in any way We are NCFC , we are above anything like this and going forward we should just be above it
19. we also played Aldershot in the Milk Cup in 1985 - drew 0 - 0 at home and won 4 -0 in the replay - foggy night at the rec
20. i do not support England - the first world cup I remember was Spain 1982 and the England team had , Mills , Butcher , Osman and Mariner - enough reason not to support them , I dislike most of the players England have now , Terry , Ferdinand , Cole , Gerrard and Lampard particularly , I dislike the way the press build up england to be guaranteed winners I will watch most games in the World cup as I always do , I will applaud good football and not be bothered who wins or loses really , I love watching Spain ( Xavi particularly ) Brazil ( but they are not what they were ) and Argentina ( only Messi , the rest are not great ) I can see England getting to the Quarter finals , or semis witha favourable draw , but they won;t win it , but I won;t sulk for a week when they do go out and it isn;t the end of teh world cup for me , once they do go out I am a Norwich fan , first and foremost , I don;t even support other english sides in Europe
21. he is a decent shot stopper , but lacks authority and does not command his area at all , so will never be a high quality keeper - forster is a far better all round keeper - I was watching the highlights with my 10 year old and Marshall flapped at a cross ( may have been the Blackpool second goal ) and I said then had that been FF he would have caught the ball and defenders and attackers left on the floor Know who I prefer
22. would be amazing had they found a Motson commentary - considering it was the far superior Barry Davies who actually commentated that day - always loved it when Donowa gets the ball on the half way line ands he shouts " go , donowa , go "
23. my first ever away game , that one ( We have relatives in West Bromwich ) I was three years old nearly four and I don;t rememebr anything at all about the game - just know that was the one that started it all
24. Precedent is there - ineligible player - points deduction - manager hearings never been any points deduction ever
