1. I agree with the op to a certain extent. The chants of "We''ve got our Norwich Back!" seem a tad silly now, unless it means the Norwich that languished in the nether regions of the Championship for years.
2.

Last year before the season kicked off for real and we were losing to MLS teams, the word was "it''s only practice games", as was the case when we squeaked past Dereham, but now we beat an imposter Italian team and Nice, people are acting like these matches do portend to a successful season. So which is it?

Only true up to a point. Many reasonable observers on here were concerned by the lack of goals pre last season and the trouble it might bring, and indeed it did obviously
3. I think we should cash in for the right price. He looked lazy and disinterested in the BPL at times last season. Really cant see him motivated enough to doing it over a Championship season, never mind the classic cold wet night in Huddersfield.
4. i think if I was to live abroad permanently I might well adopt a local team as my second team for the thrill of live games. Particularly in Europe. I love going to matches and feel sure that i would become a casual plastic fan of a local team, while my heart would forever be with NCFC. Wouldnt happen in other parts of the UK though.
5. It should look good on female supporters. It slightly resembles a green top being worn under a yellow dress.... but maybe that''s just me....
6. I''m a traditionalist and would rather the shirt be yellow, but having said that I really like this design. Bit retro, reminded me of the old England Admiral kit.
7. ...and last game Fulham at home. Best we don''t need 3 points to win automatic promotion given our recent record against them lol. Probably have it in the bag by then. Some good games in August.
8. 1 - 0 loss. Hart mistake and we''ll all be shouting about how ruddy shoulda gone :-)
9. Yep,said exactly that to my son. As somebody on twitter remarked, ''In the excitement of the World cup you tend to forget just how s*** England really are''. Oh and on the subject of Adrian Chiles,I first came across him on 5 live radio years ago. He used to do the daily business reports. Thought he was ok at that tbh.
10. Many people on here, myself included, when asked the question when relegation was confirmed ''where do you think we will finish next season?'' replied mid table. There was much doom and gloom. Statistics seemed to show that few teams in the last ten years have bounced back. So I guess for many of us the play offs would represent success.
11. Even if true, puppet manager is putting it a bit strong. We don''t know all or even any of the facts.it does seem unhelpful however.
12. I''m happy enough. The football ought to be more exciting than the dross we had to suffer last season. More games and more winnable games too hopefully. I think us season ticket holders have much to look forward to.
13. When McNally said this I had no idea he meant next week.
14. At least he''s probably cheaper than the others.
15. Yesterday''s interview was telling re Malky and the talk of it being a risk whoever you bring in. I wouldn''t be surprised if it is someone already in a job. The last two managers have been in employment. Maybe someone driven and ambitious in the Lambert mould.
16. That being the case and assuming our chief exec was awae of this, did he get it ''horribly wrong'' again when affirming that a manager would be appointed within a week.Plenty of time yet of course
17. Exactly. can''t see Lennon fancying the Champ. Would probably have got him if we''d stayed up. It was after all while up there that he announced himself as flattered by NCFC interest.
18. The signs are that they might not be too sh1t next season sadly. Living in Lowestoft I''m surrounded by their supporters so i guess I care about beating them more than some.
19. Presumably Ruddy is ok with the pay cut if he''s said he''s happy here. That''s the only concern if he''s offered a massive salary elsewhere.
