1. Interesting to see the highlights & it was a combination of Wes & Vrancic who put Husband through when he dived. My view of him yesterday was whilst Zimmerman, Hanley & the T& T in midfield were our best players, Vrancic was probably next. Trouble is as usual with City fans people have made up their minds & nothing is change it
2. If it is poor recruitment(& I don''t agree with some of the comments) then the finger has to be pointed at Webber not Farke.I doubt that Farms had even heard of Husband or Watkins let alone seen them play. Incidentally Pritchard apparently had ice on his ankle after Tuesdays game so I can understand him being left out. Lewis has just come back from injury so ok be careful with him but don''t understand Timm or Josh
3. Man City away Tues or We''d before we play them. Hopefully they will be knackered and/or dispirited
4. Chase was totally a dictator. He was chairman & chiref executive. Ask anyone who was around the club in those days.
5.
Since Hillsborough all Premier and Championship grounds are “ all seater “ by law. If this law had been adhered to from day one everybody would comply. At our last trip to Wembley there was a family sat next to me, Grandfather, Father and young son who was about four. Three big pillock stood up right in front of the boy and refused to sit, must have ruined the whole experience for him.
The ''law'' has been adhered to. The stadium is all seater. The ''''law'' requires a seat, it does not require you to sit in it. That is ground regulations not law. Personally I want to sit, I''m oldish & short, so I sit in the River End. I would not expect to sit in the Barclay lower. Equally I would not expect anyone to stand in the upper river end
6. Derby win on penalties against 9 men Utd. One sent off & an injury when all subs made
7. Strange game. City were shockingly poor for 55 minutes. Should have gone 2 - 0 down. But then Barnsley ran out of gas & the young City lads took over. Idah''s third goal was brilliant ( & saved the centre back from being sent off) Will need to play much better in the first half next round. Funny where have I seen that before in the last few days.
8. Just to correct a couple of posts. Health & safety was collectively the responsibility of the whole board. Tom was responsible for safeguarding, a very different animal to security.
9. Just in case anyone asks, the (bad) lapse in concentration in defence for Villas winner was by Franke not Martin
10. It amuses me that Pinto was apparently our best player..of course apart from giving the ball away & then failing to get back for Barnsley''s goal. But hey he''s great on social media
11.
After attending every home game 1968-1972 it makes me wonder why my father never bought me a season ticket
Probably the same reason I didn''t have one for those years. Season tickets were only available for seats not terracing & at that stage only 10% of the ground were seats.
12.
My first ever visit to the Old Den and it was 1-1 with Geoff Butler scoring the equaliser which made the exit from the ground rather eventful. I think it was GB''s only ever goal for Norwich.
An equaliser in the 90 th plus minute that relegated Millwall that certainly was not received in th best spirit by their fans. Still we lived to tell the tale...just. Remember walking thru their fans on the way to the station praying that none of my colleagues with Norfolk accents wouldn''t say anything. Even I kept quiet!
13. Bowkett & Mcnally did not resign for the reason you state. Stop make suppositions to back your prejudices. Part of the problem that summer was being too ambitious, going for players who felt they were too good for us, at least a couple of whom were playing in the Champions League this week
14.
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB wrote the following post at 2017-11-01 5:35 PM: I am sure I read somewhere that it cost Liverpool £15M to sack Brendan Rodgers, so £2M (if it was even that much) for Alex Neil seems about right to me. I suppose I could get all angry about it, but not sure what I would be getting angry about....... One would imagine that Brendan Rodgers was on a far better, and more lucrative contract than Alex Neil. It does not alter the fact that changing the managers contract after just five months in charge, and then sacking him was a ludicrous piece of business regardless of what the then CEO said, who let’s face it, lined his own pockets with a hefty bonus when promotion was gained, and also who received a hefty pay off when he left, all which has now left us over 2 million in debt. With little chance of promotion this season, I would suggest a certainty after the last two home matches, that debt will grow alarmingly next season when the further loss of our last parachute payment will kick in. It’s now a very vicious circle, as the only way City will survive will be to sell the likes of Maddison, Pritchard, Klose et al, for just a start. It will become a very steady downward spiral after that, with cheap signing on low wages being the norm coupled with any talent coming through, who in their turn will also have to be sold to keep the club afloat. Whilst many have decried our neighbours down the road, we are heading in exactly the same direction, with owners who like theirs, is not investing in the club. Whilst being careful in what “you wish for” seems to be the buzz word for many senior supporters and not wanting outside investment, we all need to realise that without some investment, we could well finish up once again with supporters being asked to bale the club out. Poor management by the current owners has been the essence at the club now for several years, and now it is catching them up! Get used to it, because it ain’t going to change. Last season we saw posts on this board that suggested “there isn’t any money”. Never more true than now, it’s been frittered away terribly.
Oh dear would that mean we''d have to make do with say a journeyman striker from Shrewsbury rather than a winger from West Ham or a striker from Sporting Lisbon. Hope the scouting is good.
15. Mr Ashley Seal was at Arsenal & Man U before us but released. The longest he''s stayed anywhere is the three or so years with us. As someone above says he''s been on trial at Leicester, Chelsea & Stoke since turning down a contract with us so I wonder if he has a little too much confidence in his own ability
16.
It''s not his fault he''s a donkey. It''s the managers fault that he''s playing
Who do you suggest he plays then?
17. All correct, even if the capacity one was a guess
18. One thing you cannot take into account Baldy is the speed of the player. It is an unknown. Or is the ref going to look &say if in a game the trailing player is Kyle Walker , fast, it isn''t a red whereas if it''s Timm Klose, slow,it is.
19.

I think this is the first time in all my years watching football that I''ve ever genuinely believed the referee made the decision to cheat. I don''t know if it benefits the sponsors to keep Arsenal in the competition or what, but that went far beyond incompetence. Robbed our lads of their moments tonight. Shame on him.
Dont you remember this happening at Arsenal before? Arsenal dead and buried, no ideas, arguing amongst themselves, Bassong and Turner immense. Then the referee stepped in. I cant remember who the official was but that was the clearest example of the referee changing a game by giving a mystifying penalty out of the blue to save them
Referee Mike Jones, penalty given by linesman Richard West
20. Unfortunately this seems to have become a norm & woe betide you if you actually wish to watch the match. Even more so if you want to/have to sit. Certainly last season there were vastly more songs about opposition fans than supporting our team. Happily this trend seems to have been reversed thanks to new songs I have very little interest in our opponents fans but for some it seems more important than the game
21. PS after a quick scan through I am struggling to find any game we''ve won that either Bob or Andy Madley have refereed. Just saying
22. One question for anyone querying the penalty. Had there been a video ref, would it have been given. The answer is emphatically yes as there was contact from the Arsenal player.
23. I''ve no doubt about his skill etc. I just feel he is probably not suited to th intensity of the English game. Given time & space great but not commodities in abundance in the Championship
24. Sorry sngfc you are wrong. Another ref to scared to make the calls against a big team. There is clear contact on Husband. It might be ''soft'' as Ian Dowie apprently said but he does pull across his neck. No one is ever going to convince me if that was at the other end that it would not be given Also if he considered Husband dived the the idiot ref stuffed up by not booking him. As for Wiltshire the petulant retaliatory dive in on Trybull when he thought(wrongly) he should have had a free kick 20 seconds earlier was a yellow bordering red all day long. Just a talking to. As to the foul on Nelson to me it looked as though even after being fouled he got into a position to have a shot. It Maybe yellow but again if it had been the magnificent Zimmermann? As I have argued with others, just because we are fans does not mean we are always biased & wrong. Had this argument with a ref apologist last year who insisted I was biased &ref got it all right. Then had a conversation with the assessor who without prompting highlighted all the things I thought the ref that day had got wrong& said he had had a poor game. As to your rather condescending comment about a good Champ side losing to a second string top 6club. Arsenal were able to field fresh players a considerable number are current or recent internationals, most of ours had done 90 minutes at Ipswich & the most creative player on the pitch had been kicked into submission.
25. Mr A Madley''s record reffing us is interesting. Sunderland h this season Fulham h Brighton a last ..that''s 3 defeats & don''t get me started on his brother & the home game against Middlesbrough
