  1. Th bit that gets me is that he says "sometimes you have to look after yourself", surely in this business you have to look after yourself ALL the time!?
  2. Read into it what you will, but I personally would say that by the way Hugton has praised Bennetts performance on Saturday, the position is as good as his if Turner isnt fit Saturday, and rightly so in my opinion, as he will not be out of position as others would be ie Martin, and he will be suited to the barrage of aerial bombs that will no doubt be heading our way from Stoke.
  3. My missus, caught the City bug a couple of years ago.   She is originally from Welling (Kent), her mum was a Charlton fan and her dad was also a gooner. But she too has been converted to a City fan!!
  4. I bet when they get it in the box she still moans...     Brilliant Nutty !!
  5. I have a guy who sits 2 seats away from me who has 2 hearing aids (not sure if that bit is relevant or not?), but he constantly just shouts "linesman linesman" etc etc. Even if a city player is well offside, he still shouts at the lino!! Bless him.     @Morty, the woman that shouts about "getting it in the box" is definitely talking about the football isn''t she??
  6. Exactly! And that''s probably why Ruddy was injured in the first place. Can you imagine the strain on those muscles trying to get his massive frame six or seven feet into the air? Light balls have a lot to answer for...   Surely it''s having light balls that allows him to jump 6 or 7 feet in the air??
  7. Miraculous recovery overnight I reckon. But yes definitely good news for us if he doesn''t play.
  8. I''ve watched a couple of "spuds" games this season and Naughton had a shocker in both of them.    If Hughton decides that Garrido is not good enough, then for me Naughton is not the answer.
  9. Martin has probably slipped Foxy a fiver to drop a dart on Whittakers toe this afternoon..
  10. The future certainly seems bright for these 2. Be great to see them in the1st team, hopefully in the not too distant future.
  11. Ive seen on the official website that Tettey has withdrawn form the Norway squad with a knee injury, fingers crossed he''s fit for the weekend, otherwise Hugtons hand could be forced into a new formation possibly??!!
  12. I know he may not be the signing that alot of people wanted/were expecting, but personally i''m quite looking forward to seeing him play, he seem to be strong, quick and fairly direct, could be just what we need to create chances to get the Horse scoring again.
  13. Stoke v Reading have the delightful Michael Oliver, we all know how he likes to do Reading a favour!! T***er!!
  14. He did make me laugh/frustrate me all in one go when he done some really fancy foot work in the middle of the park to lose the attention of 3 Qpr midfielders and relieved a bit of pressure and then he failed to pass the ball 15 yards in a straight line to Snodgrass (Pongo,Haha),and gave it straight back to Qpr. That asides he did have a good game though.
  15. The Cr@p backpass from Garrido certainly played it''s part in the penalty situation aswell. Thought he had a good game, his handling looked better than it has been in the past aswell.   Ruddy does just have that extra class though.
  16. I have to agree about possibly seeing Whittaker on the left against Fulham.   Garrido looked decidedly shaky at times against Qparse and it was his dreadful back pass that forced Bunn into the penalty situation aswell. Obviously Bunn could have come out and dived at Mackies feet, or just sort of ushered him towards the line, but the pass that came his way from Garrido initially was awful.
  17. Yep, October''s and Norfolk Chance''s Ditties work for me.   Very good indeed.
  18. Didn''t they speak to Samba last night on SSN and he said that he wouldn''t be playing Saturday as he has been on holiday/not fit and they Qparse were giving him a cupl of weeks to settle in?? Or did I dream that??   Personally I can''t see them paying 12mill and not playing him,  but you never know, they may not want to risk him getting injured if he isn''t fit.
  19. Huckerby tweeted something along the lines of the top scorer in the Spl not being able to get a regular game at Northampton when he was there, and putting perspective on the whole thing, he clearly doesn''t think that the standard in th SPL is that gd, so I suppose the asking price (reportedly 10mill) was well over the top like others have said because of the timing etc.   At this point in time he is worth more than he will be in the summer as there will be less time left on his contract. Ballsy move on Celtics part, because if he doesn''t sign a new contract then they will get less for him (in theory).
  20. I''m not sure Bethnal i''m not on twitter so never think to look at it to be honest, but you''re probably right which means he''s more than likely not coming which is a shame.
  21. SSN have put it as "reportedly" being rejected but I haven''t seen it on the BBC one as yet (unless i''ve missed it), still hopeful of this one!!
  22. As was mentioned on here previously Stoke didn''t want Kamara because he can actually play football.   He kept going past people with the ball at his feet when he was on trial there and they were all confused as to what he was doing, they thought he was a running back and just wanted him to run whilst they punted upfield, hence why they didn''t sign him, they''d never seen anything like it before!!
  23. Excellent yet another thread about how shite our transfer dealings are, before we''ve even seen any new players in a yellow shirt!!
