  1. I dont: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EmrGSqteGo&t=88s
  2. Rustie Lee - be worth it just for the laugh alone and the press conferences.
  3. Something else I think we need to question here is how effective Alan Irvine''s role is as Neil''s assistant. He was brought in remember as someone with experience at managing in the top two divisions and was seen as better than the likes of Holt, Calderwood and Trollope. I''m sure he wouldn''t have gone into yesterday''s game at St. Andrews without a recognised striker. So is Neil completely ignoring him? Do we think the players are trying their best under Neil?
  4. And that makes it Barnsley, Huddersfield, Leeds, Rotherham, Sheff Weds so lots of trips to Yorkshire. In fact the Midlands too when you add Villa, Brum, Wolves, Derby and Forest.
  5. Villa fans walk out on 72 minutes in protest at being charged any more than 72p to watch this rubbish.
  6. I''ll put my two penneth in and say it is good as they are back to looking over their shoulder again. Getting anything there will be tough but the longer we staying in the game the better. Got to avoid falling into Leicester''s gamesmanship tactics - thankfully it cost them today and should start to put doubts in their minds.
  7. The other side of the coin is - should we go down, we need someone who knows the championship and to have the players to get out of it . Its a big call and sometimes its a case of careful what you wish for - 13pts min needed from 17 games - cant see where they would come from at the mo.
  8. Yes eloquent but not the full shilling - its hardly relevant to today''s latest shambles
  9. Sounds like a plan - also Chelmsford based here and yes it will make change from the usual boring commute!
  10. Whilst more £ never does any harm, we are not on our uppers that we need to accept bids of £4-9m for some of our better players. We paid fair amounts for them and they have a year or two''s experience at Premier League level. Every player has their price but we hold all the cards - similar to Arsenal who are after David Marshall - Cardiff should hold firm and say you want him, fine he is worth X - pay up of push off. That''ll stop the likes of QPR, Stoke, So''ton etc hawking round our players for as cheap as they can get and send a strong message from NCFC''s point that they are serious about tying to get back to top flight football.
  11. Frankly that''s a tosh response. It is man or mouse territory - you can stop the offers by pricing people out of the market if you are serious about keeping them.
  12. I''d prefer it that if Norwich put out any message then it is we want a team to right last seasons wrongs and prove they are premiership players. We wish retain last season''s squad and we don''t need to sell so accordingly each player has a minimum value of £31m if you want to make a bid. We dont want to run the risk of them being sold on 31 Aug with no replacements in what is a grueling league.
  13. Although its from Granada rather than Anglia, so not strictly regional, then again how much of ITV is these days, this is rather apt.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTHS4lVvrVI
  14. Whilst we wait to find out our new manager its good to see league football return to the Abbey Stadium and another local club to loan our youngsters too.
  15. Cambridge United at home (presuming they get through tmrw)
  16. This clip somes it up nicely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaeDtsPRMFQ
  17. Three little words but the management and players need to instill these qualities away as well as at home so the fans can be proudthat the management n players did everything in the cause of the shirt on the pitch. We will lose games home and away but we need that passion that makes everyone smile or bring a tear to our eye as when we think about our club.
  18. Spot on. I think playing 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 can be restrictive. The two 0-0''s against Reading and QPR show that we need that extra presence up front. With Fulham, Everton, Southampton and Swansea at home and Sunderland and Wigan away, these are six games that we should be looking to get enough points to reach safety and then push on given how tight it is and how much extra cash there is for each place. We have improved our squad and should be looking to gradually improve. 12th or higher should have been the target this season. After the Wigan game we were 7th with 25 pts from 17 games. To get 15pts from 21 games really shouldn''t really be a struggle and would be a massive screw up if we blow this. I would be worried if we are still in the mix after the Swansea game. Being defensive can nick you good points away or shut outs against the bigger clubs at home but we do have the players to play with a bit more flair and put some of these mediocre sides to bed. The worry is failing to make subs early enough or a failure to have a plan B. We also need to learn how to play Suarez and Bale. We have been hit for 5 three times this season and only scored 4 once in the league. Goals are at a premuim for us. At the end of the day people all want what is best for Norwich which is of course staying in the Premier League but steady progress is the key. I just feel that if we gambled a little in some of the games we wouldn''t be looking so much over our shoulder. Should be be safe this season, is everyone going to set the benchmark next season as 17th?
  19. Agreed and on that point I''d like to see Nigel Adkins or Chris Powell amongst the front runners. Adkins would be difficult to proze away from Soton though as would McDermott at Reading.
  20. I would propose scrapping the current UEFA competitions and replace them with: UEFA European Cup - Only the winners of each UEFA country qualify. Ties are cup based 2 legs except the final Remaining places split by: Uefa Cup - teams finishing 2-4 in each country qualify - 2 legged competition including the final. Cup winners Cup - winners of domestic cups qualifiy. Additionally, matches must be broadcast on terrestial tv and clubs must have 9 home grown players in each team.
