1.
I found it a bit odd when Greg Downs said we need a centreback who is about 5''10 or 5''11 tall. I think he said it just to attempt to back up what he was saying about how we''ve never better Malky and Fleming as obviously Fleming isn''t that tall for a CB. I don''t think you''ll find many sides playing a CB the shorter side of 6''. And Turner/Bassong was better than Malky/Fleming.
He was talking about a little and large combination with the smaller man providing the short distance bursts of pace to cover the big mans lack of mobility, probably a fair point.
 2.
On it from kick off today but couldn''t maintain the tempo second half. That''s where we missed Tettey who must run on Duracell where as O''Neil is only Ever Ready ;) We rarely seem to put together 90 mins even with Tettey. But that''s 16 points from 7 games which is promotion form.
I thought the ten minutes of high intensity attacking/chasing/closing down immediately after half time seemed to sap the energy out of the players, they looked knackered after that and as Ricardo says, the change was needed earlier.
 3. Either way it has affected his performance levels I think, but God knows how he will overcome it, he certainly needs our support.
 4. I heard last season from a source at Colney that he has off field troubles, as far as I''m aware these are not because of something he''s done or someone else has done, but I''m afraid I can''t say anymore than that and wouldn''t have mentioned but others have brought it up. At least I guess it''s the same issue though I''m not on twitter.
 5.

It shows how far we''ve fallen when fans cheer a stodgy Hughton-like performance where we lacked invention and constantly gave the ball away.
I think you''re on the wrong forum, jog on please.
If you''re pleased by that performance then you''re probably supporting the wrong club. At the very best we were misfiring and lucky to draw the game. The football could have been far, far better.
I am pleased by a solid away performance against one of last seasons best teams in the Championship, admittedly they''ve not been on a good run lately the same as us, but I suggest a few weeks ago we''d have lost that game convincingly. If you think the performances under Hughton are the lowest yardstick to measure our current performances against (as you allude to in your pithy comment) then I''d suggest that you haven''t been supporting ''our'' team for very long at all. I am pleased as the performances and the confidence appear to be growing in recent weeks, perhaps you''re not pleased for the same reasons?

 7. It''s been going since the start of this season and had some exposure on the Scrimmage as well as a post or two on here a few moths ago.
 8. Is that Wiz I can see standing in the stand with no roof on..............
 9.
I know that and im not slating Redmond, im just saying what Eadie said, i like Redmond and i think potentionally he will be very very good. Trust me im not saying Murphy is better than Redmond. Both very young with lots to learn. I just wabt to see Redmond take his man on a bit more.
Fair enough but he didn''t say Redmond always checks inside he was referring mainly to the second half and by not quoting his stated opinion for why this was happening it sounds a bit like he''s turned into Snodgrass mark 2 so I just thought I''d point it out!
 10.
Yer what does Eadie know about quick pacey wingers.
Yes Eadie did indeed say that but you have conveniently left out the part where he blamed other players for overlapping Redmond thus causing this change in tact from him, mainly Whittaker.
 11. I thought his first half performance was excellent apart from the goal mistake, he seemed much more measured and thoughtful and didn''t just get his head down and run all the time, he dropped off in the second half and had to check inside a lot more, Eadie said this was because Whittaker kept overlapping him and cutting off his space, as he was a professional footballer and winger I''ll agree with him.
 12.

I''ve not seen it reported anywhere that he is the Director of football, thought he was a ''football consultant''?
Split hairs then Rivvo, So where in the link does a football consultant go, Board, ?, Director of Football, ?, Manager. Also who out of the 3 who needs to consult Joe Royle about Football ?
Late reply, sorry. I wasn''t spliiting hairs as I understood that the roles are going to be filled by two different people which makes it relevant what they''re titles are, of course I may have been mislead. As to what a football consultant does, I don''t know I didn''t appoint him, perhaps ask the board?
 13. I''ve not seen it reported anywhere that he is the Director of football, thought he was a ''football consultant''?
 14. Is this the same Reading who were taken over a couple of years ago by a Russian billionaire, perhaps he''s got bored already? Long term stability for me please, rather than someone who will clear off at the first sign of adversity. Mind you I wish some of our ''supporters'' would clear off at the first sign of adversity rather than constantly whining and posting utter rubbish.
 15.
If it is Adams thats me finished on here.........they can shove it!
Every cloud........😃
 16.
7 posts in six years? Still it''s a little harsh. As long as they appoint the right manager a couple of days here or there doesn''t matter, surely?
Then at least two negative ones in one day, I smell bin.
 17. I''m afraid I can''t take credit, a mate text me it, just passing it on.😃

 19.

to defend RVW (and I dont do it often!) he made the Keeper make a save... what else could he have done?! If Mignolet hadn''t set his feet or adjusted inline with the ball it would have been 3-3
Hmm? now had Becchio headed that? Wolfiwanka couldn''t even score in an Amsterdam brothel!
So you haven''t forgiven Glenn hoddle for a comment he made 16 years ago but you can throw insults about with impunity?
 20. What the fan secretly recorded his meeting with him? that''s an abuse of trust isn''t it, or Cellini recorded it? Anyways hope it all goes well for you.
 21. So anyone could have got Newcastle promoted but only Hughton could have got them relegated?
 22. Unfortunately I think it was just bad timing, Wes was not having the hoped for effect on the game and had been brushed off too easily by a very physical Stoke side, Howson was the right swap at the time, however if Hughton had waited to make a later sub then they would have been down to 10 men and that would have suited Holahan far more, he would have had the time and space that he needs and hadn''t been getting in the preceeding minutes.
 23. Danny mills = Andy Townsend, first class bell ends who forget which clubs they played for and in Mills'' case gave him his break into first team football.
 24. Lazy punditry from them all, concentrating on one or two quotes from McNally from the interview to base their whole analysis on. Mind you in case you didn''t know he played for England in a World Cup, which means he''s a football genius 👍
