1.

Pretty much a must win for Fulham as they only have 3 of the bottom half left to play at home. Absolutely disasterous for West Ham who also only have 3 of the bottom half left to play at home plus everyone from Liverpool down to Swansea, then the top 4 away. A decent win for WBA all be it against 10 men but again their remaining fixtures look harder than ours.
Our run is looks pretty bad, three of the top four at home. In the end everyone is playing everyone else again. As I said earlier, I think we will stumble over the line. But if this is building a team, it is going nowhere fast. There is no discernable improvement on the pitch from last season, and we have better players this term.I must admit my expectations for this season were a little higher than battling it out with a declining Sunderland, imploding Cardiff, Strikerless West Ham and an appalling Crystal Palace side.
Agreed!I sum it up with the three ''B''sBeige, Blah & Boring. There is genuinely nothing to get excited about on game day. I don''t get excited when we have possession and sadly enough, I don''t get excited when we score, because I have the inherent feeling that the team simply doesn''t know how to win games, unless the opponent completely capitulates.I place this lack of mental strength and determination squarely on the coaching and management style. There was a reason Grant Holt had to leave; his ''go out and fight for it'' mentality wasn''t welcome. I''m not bringing up the topic of if Grant Holt was good enough to play for NCFC at the prem level or not, but no one could question his ferocity and willingness to win a game.Right now we look as though we''re simply trying to survive 90 minutes. We look like a sad team that is hoping that other teams play worse than us.
The commentator for Man U vs Spurs said the difference between AVB and TS is.. AVB went into games to not lose TS will go into games wanting to win. I see AVB method similar to CH...whereas a former manager was of the same theory as TS
2. Bring in a manager who has no idea about our squad, who to buy or what we need at the beginning of the window. Surely they would have sacked him a month before the palace game?
3.
I think Bolton are another good example of why we shouldn''t spend money on ground expansion. The Reebok was completed in 1997 with a capacity of 28,723 which served them well for eleven years until they were relegated. They are now averaging 15,656 which is comparable with the binners (30,000 and 16,542).
Although where is our nearest big club...Ipswich? 40 miles, Bolton has about 10 large clubs within 30 miles, people didn''t stop going to FCR when we were in League 1?!
4. I expect to be where we currently are, or slightly above that position. Just looked at results so far... In our last 12 games - we have only lost to teams in the current top 6. If we only lose to those teams every year that is huge success, as we do not have their spending power. Dream all you want, but it''s not going to happen. A cup run is all we can dream for success whilst in the top flight
5. I always remember Alan Curbishley at Charlton, which to a degree we are similar to at the moment? Once he left it went wrong, and got worse and worse. George Burnley...? Harry at Pompey Same could be said for owners. Big Mo at Fulham has left, will new owner continue their over long stay?
6. I think GP tat they are saying its the same approach, but the tactics were executed as he set out. We were also not playing a form team, Newcastle, have a Suarez, Liverpool. The man city game we made so many mistakes, and the game plans goes out the window
7. 1. West Brom were extremely unlucky today, we were outplayed and the result had more to do with luck than tactics. Same could be said for the draw with Cardiff...were we unlucky? Penalty against Hull was debatable...were we unlucky?
8. Delia David Mc Chase? Sir Geoff Watling Captain Canary?
9.
10 starting with a win against wba, safe at mid table by christmas, feel free to bring this post up again when i am proved right.
I''ll have what you are smoking!
10. Totally agree - too many people think we should be aiming for 7th or some how getting into Europe. Personally I think still achieving PL status should be main aim. Does that make me unambitious, or am I just realistic?
11. West Ham Fulham Palace I think Sunderland will do enough, and same for ourselves. Hull and Cardiff will be dragged further down but be ok.
12. Just seen their second! It bad goalkeeping...people calling for managers head. How can he be responsible for goalkeeping errors, or Johnson ball watching for that matter! He sets the team out to keep clean sheet and take a chance away from home. Even if one of those awful goals went in we could have been coming home with a point which I would have been happy with. It''s all if''s but''s and maybe''s, and if my auntie had bo11ocks...
13. Very good. I also like to look at the decline of Wolves when they sacked Mick.
14. Did the system work against Stoke? Yes Ok so it''s not been good against Chelsea (CL winners 2012), or Arsenal (who lost to Dortmund runners up this year). 8 games in, and we played ok against the teams stated above. Can everyone just calm the f___down!!
15. Palace are definitely down now. Imo if we we''re to sack CH now, we would be right behind them. Hughton In!
