  1. I love Delia and MWJ in charge of our club. They are real fans and attend every game having put more money into our club than I would in their shoes.
  2. What a shame. I assumed that we would walk it until this news.
  3. It is Chris Hughtons fault. It really is as simple as that. The board enter the equation on when to sack him but otherwise it is the coaching, purchases and tactics.
  4. I would keep the lot as they should be given a chance to make amends under a manager who has not dessicated the spirit of the squad. If some go due to good offers then I would replace them with youth. Remember we have Fox and Surman to return and Becchio is a proven striker in that league.
  5. I like the Adams Phelan idea. Lennon would be the only other manager on offer who hasn''t been sacked for failure to perform.
  6. You would have to be pretty odd not to see the improvement in attacking intent and motivation during the past two games. The points issue whilst a shame is only a problem because CH did not get enough before the run in. The last four games were not a secret.
  7. Agreed . It''s just a shame that we couldn''t have watched this all season. There will be some sore bodies tomorrow.
  8. I agree with your sentiment but these four games have been known all season. We have left it very late to make a difference now but I suspect that we would have stuffed many teams this season if we had set out like we did today. Well done the lads and NA.
  9. The last four fixtures were not a secret. If we had played like this all season we would not be struggling now imo. This makes the decision to stick with CH all the more incredible. Well played today under a much better motivator.
  10. I wanted Malky when we chose CH based on his Watford experience. I felt that he would give a famously bottling Cardiff side the balls to get over the line when they appointed him. Now I am not so sure having seen him in the Prem with Cardiff. Gernerously he was playing defensively in order to survive but they just seemed awful.
  11. This thread leaves me feeling like I have been living in a really big house for the past two years only to be told that, instead of building the planned extension, I have to move into a bedsit.
  12. There is no luck in this. We are where we are due to the results. We can blame CH or luck but the club always knew that this was our run in.
  13. Good clip, shocking comments. I had no idea how many anti semetic still exist.
  14. We beat Man U Arsenal and Man City last year didn''t we?
  15. I don''t know wtf I was expecting but does this seem a bit of a damp squib to anyone else? Let''s see how they shape up.OTBC
  16. I am sure that you are not Mark but I am surprised how relieved I was when CH was dismissed. If that decision runs counter to your viewpoint then why would you be excited?
  17. This is the most excited/nervous I have been since the season started.Blind faith ? Possibly but I will run with until the game ends.
  18. My prediction is that I will remain excited until the game starts and then I will be nervous. The feelings after that are unpredictable. That said, I have already had more emotional responses to this game than I have had to most others this season. 4-3 Norwich

SplatCat wrote the following post at 11/04/2014 10:48 PM: Really can''t disagree enough with some of the posters on here who are writing off Neil Adams for the permanent job before we have even seen his NCFC team play once. The guy got our under 18s playing some cracking football and winning the youth cup against teams like Chelsea who spend a fair bit on their youth teams. That is no mean achievement. He has interviewed very well this week and has talked about playing an attacking, aggressive mode of football, which our fans have been clamouring for for ages, and which is the Norwich way after all, or used to be. "He has no European contacts" - who gives a ***? Being able to tell a good player from a dud is what counts. We have a European network of scouts who should do their job properly. I do not agree with bringing someone in with more experience simply because they have more experience. So many managers, like Rodgers or Steve Clarke or, yes Chris Hughton or Gary Monk or Guardiola or Nigel Adkins, to pick a random list, moved from the background into the hot seat at some point. It''s a crucial time for the club but we have to back their judgment. We''ve got to trust the board of directors to make the right decision based on a) how the next 5 games go b) the way Adams runs the club behind the scenes c) his immediate plan for improving the playing squad this summer, and d) his more general plan for how to move the club forward in the long term. It''s not the time to make decisions based on what the rest of the footballing world think/what is the cliched foresighted thing to do (ie bring in a random exotic foreign manager for the sake of appearing forward thinking). It''s simply about getting the best man for the job.
