1.
So the Worthy one had lost the dressing room had he 25overpar, must be why Hucks wanted so badly to play against Burnley when he wasn''t fit because he knew as we all knew what was going to happen if we got beat. I''m bloody sick of Worthy outers still blaming the bloke for everything from where we are now to the weather, intrest rates and the price of bloody petrol. There got that off my chest.
With respect Shaker, if you read it a second time you will see that I said "it was clear he had lost most, if not all the dressing room".
 2. 1)  No.  He had proved not only during the premiership season but also the one that followed that he had little idea.  We were losing almost as regularly as we are now and it was clear he had lost most, if not all the dressing room.  2)  No one knows, but personally I doubt it.  His time had run at NCFC. 3)  I am pretty sure we would.  Let''s not forget that the protests to oust Worthington were becoming very strong and do you honestly believe if the board hadn''t sacked him the fans would have left them in peace? 4)  Again no one can know, but it would have been as likely as Stevie Wonder scoring 180 in a darts match! If Worthington had been shown the door half way through the prem season and If he had been replaced with a better manager than Grant, we may have stayed up. If the board had shown less prudence and more ambition, who knows.  If, even after allowing Worthington to blunder along for 18 months too long, the board had appointed an experienced manager, who knows.   If ''If''s & Ands were pots & pans'' etc........................ Sadly it''s all water under the Carrow Bridge now and all we can hope is that the purse strings are loosened and Glenn Roeder can work a miracle.
 3.

A good player at championship level. However, not sure why there''s posts talking about Quashie solving your creativity problems? He does the hard work, the chasing, harrying, tackling, dirty work. He won''t offer much going forward.
Has to offer more attacking wise than Brellier or Russell are at the moment.  Quashie can actually pass a ball as well I think?
Within a 10 yard radius? Yes. Any further? Not a chance
We''d settle for 10 yds right now.............................Have you seen us play recently?
 4. If there''s a team of eleven Playing in Heavan They just got a star for the squad He has talent and skill A left foot that will thrill And the manager''s name is GOD   Respect.
 5.
I write to ask those organising or participating in this weekend''s "protests" to reconsider as a mark of respect to Graham Paddon''s family.
In my personal opinion, given the changes that appear to be taking place right now, to protest on Saturday would be premature.  However, following today''s tragic news it would be inexcusable.  For the sake of all that is decent please please don''t do it! I remenber Graham from my teens and he will always be one of the first names to come to mind when I think about the days when were a team to be reckoned with.  RIP and thanks for the memories.
 6.
are the 6 people who are planning to protest going to continue with their plan if we pull a David Nugent type loan signing out of the bag?   Seems to me if the board are willing to back Roeder with the cash to bring in 3 premier league players then the least we can do is cut them a wee bit of slack. Plus, your protest is going to fall flat on its arse if this saturday we are turning up to carrow road with a team that consists of Taylor (Birmingham), Quashie (WHU) and Nugent (Portsmouth).   The whole place is gonna be rocking and NO-ONE is going to give a hoots about your little protest. Like I said, Hypothetical as it may be but even if its not those players named it could well be 2 other top class premiership players signing so please dont dismiss the post just because you dont believe those 2 exact players will join.
Well said mate.  I don''t think there are many people who would disagree that the board have made some serious errors of judgement over the past ten years, but if the money is now forthcoming they can do no more in an effort to make amends.  Of course they could make a real and conserted effort to sell to a mega-rich investor, but (1) there has to be one who is interested and (2) how do we know how much the Turners are prepared to put in. I can understand why people such as Smudger are angry and frustrated with what has taken place in the past, we all are, but I believe you are right in that this is not the time for protests.  If there is no change in the direction the board has followed to date, and we won''t know that until the January transfer window opens, then a protest would not only be justified, it would also be supported by the majority and not just a handfull. Any protest at the moment is almost certain to fall flat on it''s face and would only serve to detract from the credibility of any future and justified actions.
 7. Surely "The Heat Is On" would be appropriate and at least it''s upbeat.  Still, what can you expect if Radio Broadland are involved.  Who does Rob Chandler support?!!
 8. Surely the answer is very simple. People are "getting wound up" because they CARE!  There are countless reasons why people don''t actually attend; it may just simply be because they can''t.  Whatever the reason, it is not for you to judge.  I know an old guy in his 80''s who sits in complete despair by his radio listening to every match commentary.  Is he not entitled to care about the team he loves just because he doesn''t attend and pay to watch?   I think you have made a serious error of judgement if you truely believe in what you have stated.  And if you do, why not start your own forum where you only qulify to take part if you can provide proof that you are either a member or season ticket holder.
 9. I think Roeder should get rid asap.  If it frees up another precious loan spot that he could fill with a far more effective player.
 10. Why spend money on a new dart board before you have anyone in the team able to hit it?
 11. Why?  Opinions will differ, but identifying the reasons may help in finding a way to pull us out of this quicksand.  I can only offer my own opinion as to why we are in this mess and I would be very interested to know if you agree or not. I think the board have to be the main cause of the problem in that albeit with the very best of intentions, they have over their 10 year reign made mistake after mistake.  I know it''s easy to be wise after the event, but my point is when it has become glaringly obvious that corrective measures are needed, they didn''t act until it was far too late.  By such time major damage had been inflicted on the team both in the reduction of the standard of the playing staff and dressing room morale.  It is surely not unreasonable for the supporters of this club to at least expect that the board learn from it''s mistakes.  Regrettably, to date there is little evidence to suggest they are doing so.  With regard to their choice of managers, I think they have all been poor with the exception of Glenn Roeder.  They appear to have allowed Worthington to bully them into giving him the job and initially he was acceptable, but apart from the odd inspired signing I think he flattered to deceive and was ultimately retained 18 months past his use-by-date.  Meanwhile the Premiership windfall did not materialise into improving player quality and although it went to the wire, we failed.  By the time we were capitulating at Fulham, Worthington should have been gone at least 6 months earlier.  Then 2 years of parachute money again doesn''t find it''s way into repairing and strengthening the team.  Couple this with 12 months of ''Grant Lunacy'' where three of our best players decide they have seen enough and leave and here we are.  What should the board do in the light of their errors that are responsible for the current mess? 1.   "Prudence with Ambition".  Nice theory, doesn''t work.  Too much Prudence, not enough Ambition.  Bin it now, if it''s not already too late! 2.  The squad is so poor the only thing that can possibly help is large amounts of money and quick.  If you don''t have it, sell to someone who has.  You have no right to allow this club to sink into the oblivion of League 1 just because you think no other person shares your priniples.  3.   If you do have the money, tell Glenn Roeder to go out and get what he needs, whatever the cost.  Then pray you haven''t left it too late. 4.   If you as a board have been taking advice from Neil Doncaster (was he the author of Prudence with Ambition?), take no more and get rid of him. 5.   Be honest with the supporters and yourselves.  Admit you have made mistakes and tell them what you intend to do about it.  For example, are you going to actively seek the type of investor who can and will provide the financial muscle to bring in the players who are good enough to get us back to winning.  Remaining silent gives the impression of arrogance.
 12.

The Turners are just bloody show ponies in my opinion, and they can be discounted in respect of any cash help from them.
I have to say that it seems strange that after 6 months of watching that we havent heard more about their intentions other than to keep an eye on Doomcaster. If I was an astute businessperson, had their money, loved the club then I couldn''t sit around watching us sink in the mire anymore.
and if they have been bought in just to watch doncaster for the past 6 months then either they arent watching him very closely or they are happy with whats going on! either way it s worrying! jas :)
Perhaps Donkey is not being " very helpfull"!
 13. Can''t realistically see anything but a loss.  No Hucks, no Dublin, no proper left back and no new additions to the squad.  Don''t think we can expect any improvement over what we have seen already untill we get better players in.  Roeder has made a difference, but we are so far short of what we need even a draw would be a miracle.  Sorry, it hurts to say it but I think we all know it''s true.  But we live in hope!........................Don''t we?
 14. According to the press report, Murphy has said his ambition is to play in the English Premier League.  Bolton have already shown an interest.  Even if no other Prem clubs show an interest he would surely prefer a team fighting relegation from the Prem than one fighting relegation from the Championship.  Who honestly believes we have a hope in hell of getting him or anyone else of a similar calibre?  I know the local press will say they have an obligation to report anything factual, but it will only sreve to get some peoples'' hopes up when it''s clearly a non-starter.  Come on EDP/Pink-Un, wake up and smell the coffee.
 15.
Hmm? Strange how other clubs manage isn''t it? I''m worried its the board doing the talking............and not Glen Roeder, welcome to the real City Glen![:|]
I don''t know if you''re right or not in your assumption Wiz, but one thing is for sure and that is our situation calls for drastic action.  It''s ok for people to take comfort from the fact that there are 30 odd games left, but they will come and go very quickly and with every one the opportunity to get some points on the board will have gone.  I''m sure Roeder is being perfectly truthfull in what he says and that these players are either too comfortable or under the thumb, but surely everyone has their price and although it stinks maybe we should be offering more money to get some better players in before we reach the point of no return.  What realy bothers me is, on the evidence so far we have seen the arrival of the Turners who are supposedly worth £275M and all they have come up with is a £2M interest-free loan!  Now I am not suggesting that they should be shouting from the rooftops about how much they are prepared to make available to the manager, but it doesn''t look as if financial inducements are being offered to prise these players away from the reserve teams in the Premiership.  I sincerely hope I''m wrong, but if all they can manage is £2M then why did they bother?
 16.
I fully expect the mardy negative side of people to be out after tonight''s setback, but being honest, we all know that Watford currently look like a total shoe-in for promotion even at this early stage so were we really expecting anything from the game?  IMO the honest answer is ''no'' - particularly after the players gave their all barely 48 hours ago (but that is another thing altogether). For me, the games against Watford aren''t really the ones we need to be looking at to get points - though of course any that come along would be fantastic - it is the games against the lesser sides (eg Blackpool, Plymouth) which will decide what we are going to do this season, as they are the ones we are likely to be competing against when push comes to shove.  Roeder will have now had a good chance to see what we are capable of in terms of good play (Ipswich) and slack play (tonight), and will have also seen the players in training for almost a week - so will now be much more aware of what he needs to get in.  It is after the next few games that we should judge what, if any, progress we have made.
Makes total sense, and yes it is vital that GR is given the financial backing to make loan signings and I am confident if this happens he will take us to safety.  Mr Turner has plenty of cash and I hope the only reason it has not been forthcoming to date is because it could be seen that Grant would waste it.  Time for Prudence to be given the boot because if we are relegated, the financial losses will far outweigh any costs associated with keeping us up.
 17.
Errrrr......we got a draw at home against a bunch of kids who haven''t won away this season....... Hardly spectacular but then why let reality get in the way of hysteria?  Get a grip for Gods'' sake.
You Sir, need to understand the context of this performance.  Yes it was a DRAW at HOME against a young side who haven''t won away.  It was also a game in which Norwich played good football (since God knows when) against a "BUNCH OF KIDS" who just happen to have been 4th place at the beginning of the weekend.  THAT, IN CASE IT PASSED YOU BY IS THE REALITY!
 18. I couldn''t believe I was watching the same team!  What a transformation, and in just 5 days.  The passing, the strength of character, the determination and the overall improvement on the eye.  I wanted Paul Jewell, I wasn''t disapointed when Glenn Roeder got the job, but I wondered if it would work.  I now feel sure it will.  If only he had been here since the beginning of the season; who knows were we would be...........certainly not we we are at the moment.  We''re on our way up!
 19.
What have you seen from Chadwick to make you think he deserves to be in the team???
I agree.  Chadwick is like at least four other Grant aquisitions, no better than League One standard.  Which is exactly why we''re headed there! I believe Glenn Roeder can turn our fortunes around, but not with the current squad.  He will need money, lots of money and I hope that''s what the Turners are here for.
 20. Thank God, some real sense!  I agree with you 100%.  No he wasn''t my first choice, but when it was announced I didn''t think it was a bad appointment either.  And no he wasn''t the first choice of the board, or there wouldn''t have been the delay which just happened to coincide with the return of a certain Mr Jewell.  Who knows what the next few months will bring, but there are no guarantees whoever is in charge.  For all those who are intent on spitting poison, presumably so they can say "I told you so" if it goes wrong, just stop and think for a moment...............Would you rather have Megson?  Would you realy be happy if you are able to say "I told you so" come May?  How would you feel if your negative attitude spread to an extent that it transfered from the terraces to the team and you were ultimately instrumental in our failure?  Do you want the club to be successful or do you just want to be right?  Glenn Roeder, his staff and the players need our full support, now more than ever.   So if you can''t bring yourself to do that untill you have any real jutification to do otherwise, please just be quiet.  For the sake of the team.
 21. Marty, if it isn''t Jewell please let me have the phone number of the girl in your picture.  It''s the only thing that will make me feel better!
 22.
Maybe the board are ahead of us all !! Maybe, they had doubts about Peter Grant during pre-season and decided then not to back him with money for a centre back knowing if they had to replace him then the new manager would need financial backing for players of HIS choice. Maybe, the same reasoning applies in their decision not to employ a first team coach knowing that the new man would want to bring his own backroom staff in ! Maybe, that''s why they stated there was money available for LOAN players ! Maybe, they already had a new manager lined up months ago, respecting his decision to have a six month break from football but knowing he would be available and ready to start from the first of November. Maybe, it''s been a done deal all along !  Maybe, Duffy is just holding the fort until the new man is in place and is aware of the situation with the promise of a job on the coaching staff after the change-over. Maybe, that would explain the one month Hartson deal hoping not to fall too far behind the pack before the 1st Nov. Maybe, just maybe LAPINITUP, you could be right!  God I hope so.
Maybe, this post is not as daft as some of you think! Maybe, just maybe
 23.
What do you intend to do about it??? It is time for protests against this board who have got away with taking the P*** for years!!! Whilst most of you were silent or even prepared to attack somebody with a word against her majesty!! It is up to us now to do something about it!!
Two reasons why I think this is the wrong time to protest. 1).  It would give Ips**t the best laugh they have had for years at our expense. 2).  What signal would it send to a new manager.  If he hasn''t already signed, he might change his mind. Let''s give it another couple of weeks.  Who knows, it may turn out to be unnecessary!
 24. Oh yes, absolutely, without a shadow of doubt, nailed on certainty etc etc. And now the jokes are over let''s take a reality check.  We are in this position because Grant bought players who are not good enough to compete at Championship level.  A new manager will not be able to make a silk purse out of a sow''s ear.  He won''t be able to make any purchases until January.  Loans yes, but will the club pay the price for the quality that is desperately needed and even then will these players either be available or indeed willing to come to us in our present position?  Yes, if the new man is the right choice he may well be able to motivate the current squad into performing better than they are now, but I just don''t think there is the quality in the majority of the team to do anything more than pinch a few points that might get us out of the bottom three.  Let''s not forget we are also staring at two games which are likely to yield NO points and if this turns out to be the case, we could easily be NINE POINTS adrift!   Given that the teams above us are unlikely to loose every game, we will then need to win 5 on the bounce to even be back in joint bottom position.  I know this seems extremely negative and believe me I wish it were different, but unfortunately I fear it is realistic. Play-Off''s ?........................Yeah Right!
 25.

i''ll start. not in a million years.
Rumour Alert! Rumour Alert! Looks like less than a million years......in 72 hours he''ll allegedly be tuggin'' the reins at the helm of the squad - and tuggin'' his forelock to Queen Delia and her subservient subjects..... "Mr Parkinson, when we shout sh*t you jump on the shovel! Right, here''s 50p, now go and build a squad for the assault on the Premiership - while I go and breeze amongst my many affluent chums in my luvverly restyrunt"........ Oh Dear! Another number 2 to drop us deeper in the poo......[N]
I have done my best to try to see things from the board''s perspective, but if they appoint Parkinson I have had it with them.  If they are realy that stupid and care so little for what the supporters want and need, they deserve all they have coming to them.
