1. Strange this - one of those rare articles that make the BBC web-site but yet hasn''t sparked any real debate on here at all (c.f. all the Amoebi shenanigans).  Is it because he hasn''t been spotted in Asda?  Or is it just that people are getting satifisfied with all the recent newbies? Me, I think it is a bit of a risk to fork anything out on someone who might be another two gamer like Master Bates!  Still useful back up but we really need someone to help move Doc on!
 2. Born in West Norwich Hospital and lived in Attleborough for next 18 years.  First taken to a match in ''69 - my mum and dad apparently courted at carrow road during the ''59 cup run so it was inevitable that I ended up going as well.  In the end my mum was the biggest fan - chaired the Attleborough branch of the Norwich City supporters club for years so went home and away from about 77 through to 82, when I came to Uni in Sheff - strangely my last match before that was to watch us getting promoted at Wednesday.  My last match with them was the Milk Cup in 85. So although not a regular at Carra Rud now if anyone wants a pop at my opinions - been there and wore the t-shirt long before a lot of ya. So risking wrath - Delia''s done alright with the meagre resources she has had available to put into the club.  I also think they invest just the right amount off the pitch in order to maintain some form of stability for the club as a whole.  Cullum worries me so not too upset about him not getting a look in yet.  When he finally retires and ignores his own bank balance then let him in!  And the squad is shaping up - Roeder wants a big man, but I think it will be only for the last 20 minutes of a game that''s going against us.  Play-offs here we come!
 3. Crikey you guys are all so young.  Here''s me remembering my first game back in ''69 when quoting lol meant you were talkng about the City manager!! If Chessy Canary is still around very impressed with your Unknown Pleasures avatar - can you run one up on a tee shirt!
 4. I agree with this.  Shacks played very well alongside Taylor, because Shacks could rely on him and learn from him.  Alongside Doc however and any experienced centre half would be a bit nervous and start making mistakes.  Get someone like Tiny in again who can help Shacks finish off his experience.  Then we can sell him on for a figure five fold what Wolves are offering. As for the issue about Shacks performance against Wednesday, most defenders would be a bit shaken after a perfectly good tackle outside the area where you won the ball fair and square, and then find the ref awarding a penalty against you.
 5. Is everyone absolutely certain that the red one is the goalie''s - or are they ripping us off again like ManUre with a kit for "every" competition?  And why only in for one year - is it because Xara are kicked into touch next year or are we subsidising wages thruogh team kit purchases? PS:  I agree some yellow banding would have been appropriate but generally if it is the Black / V. Dark Green one they are okay.  But what do I know-  I don''t understand fashion at all!
 6.
I take my hat off to you sir.[:D]
Mine went flying in to orbit.  Well done that man.
 7.

We All Know Glenn Roeder Is A Yes Man To The Board! Why Do You Think He Got The Job??? Lets Face It At The Time He Wasn''t The Best Option
Hmm? the jury''s out for me on this at the mo. And I wanted Warnock .................Y]
1st Wizard, I''ve never slagged you off before, even though I have wanted to, but you''ve gone to far with this statement.  You wanted Colin to come to City.  You Neil Warnock (anag)!  Even in his own city of birth no-one has a good word for him, and that''s despite getting The Blades to the Premiership.  Go figure that one out!
 8.
hmmm at this level... i would say he''s a standard player at champ level... problem i have with him though (and maybe roeders issue?) is that he is on a more than average wage... he''s not worth his slightly deducted prem wage... there are other defenders who we could pick up who are just as good if not better (defo faster... ) who would prob be happy with a fair amount less each year... We also need to build a new team.. a winning team... i feel/fear that doc doesn''t have that mentality... i mean does he really want it? look at him on corners he nor shack hardly throw them selves at the ball... look at the scoring record... malks scored a lot of goals as he wanted the ball... he''d have gone through anyone to get to a header... would doc... not from what i''ve seen. Roeder needs to re build and popular move or not... doc going might be a blessing... our only worry is that of numbers... - but can you have a squad player on say between 5-7k a week* *an estimate... but i think it''s prob close to what he gets give or take... either way too much... !
Christ, where did this shrewd analysis come from - fine words Mr Wallis.  I have to admit I usually only get as far as the stupid tackles outside of the box, but you really have hit it on the head with this.  Given that he was signed as a forward, it''s true he never attacks the ball, preferring to hang out at the back to loop it back in when attacking, and usually saying "you first" to Shacks when in defence, even when Shacks is 20 yards away.  Get him gone!
 9. Can he run faster than his old man did at the hieght of his career?  If he can''t we''ll get stuffed if we rely on him!
 10. City can receive a more hostile reception than usual from those cities where offices are being closed over the next three years or so given the shirt sponsorship.  I would expect a particuarly hard time in Sheffield.
 11. Sorry Vin, this is two years too late and it really is time he went.  Too many fouls at the edge of the area.  And you lot wonder why Shacks looks nervous near him.  I have a heart attack every time the ball goes near him outside the box.  Remember he was bought as a front man ffs, and he''s definitely not a rock in defence! Avanti Ginger pele - presto!
 12.
Whilst it would be fantastic news I am still dubious about this. If he has signed for us surely its up to us when we announce the deal and there is no reason why we would allow Blackpool to delay the signing because they are a  bit p**sed off he has signed for us without telling them.I''d imagine if we had signed him the Club would be desperate to announce it to the fans.
Getting a press release in first with someone your pissed off with happens all the time in business.  If you can do it its great fun to steal the thunder of the other.  I still don''t believe this one though!
 13. Sunny (bit it ain''t today) Sheffield.  From Attleborough originally - my brother is still holding the fort for our family there.  I moved to Sheff cos'' I thought a City that produced wierd stuff like Cabaret Voltaire might be interesting - still here and with Artic Monkeys the City still throws up an interesting listen or two.
 14.

We offererd £1.8 million for Earnie.  Some way off Forest''s offer but reassures me we have some cash to spend!
Doesn''t prove we have the money though.  The cynical part of me says we could just make an offer (1.8mil) which we know is no where near enough in order to give the impression we have money available.  1 million off the asking price - never going to get him were we.
As I said in answer to Jas, I think the offer had an element of debt write-off involved.  Well spotted.
 15.

We offererd £1.8 million for Earnie.  Some way off Forest''s offer but reassures me we have some cash to spend!
where was this made public? jas :)
Jas, if you can play silly games so can we all (ref all that press conference crap).  Except I know people connected to Earnmore so at least mine is true.  Okay so most of the offer was probably debt write-off which made it a no brainer for Derby to go for a proper cash deal - at least now they have no obvious excuse for not giving us the cash they owe - although Doomcaster will no doubt find them one!

 17. More crappy scotsmen on the way - and lots of converations with Sir Alex.
 18. Slight lack of commitment being only one year?  Should he remain captain in that case?
 19.
As a neutral and having watched the game based on play from 30 minutes on, Chelsea deserved to win that game-they passed well, had the best chances, and looked the most dangerous,
Chelski lost it over "what is sporting play" gate.  Manure did right in the normal 90 minutes after an injury stoppage for one of their players conceded by Chelski by giving the ball straight back to a Chelski player on the pitch in the Manure half.  Chelski, when the next similar incident came about and Tevez kicked the ball out when Manure were on a very good breakaway, simply lumped the ball out of play in the Manure half of the pitch close to the goal line and then pressurised the subsequent throw in.  So when Chelski then cleared the ball for an injury to a Manure player Tevez obviously thought "well if you can do it so can we" and cleared the ball out to the Chelski by line area.  Chelski players then demonstrated their "professionalism" by hounding first Tevez and then the referee and then any Manure player who tried to protect Tevez.  Terry was the worst culprit but no brain Drogba got caught!  Terry got his just reward  by missing the penalty that would have won it for them.  I have no sympathy - Terry should learn a big lesson in humility from this and hopefully can lead England on to better things - if not Chelski. Still doesn''t mean I''m happy that Manure won though.
 20. I had the misfortune to live next door to the digs where the three Quinn brothers were staying when they all played for Sheffield United.  I was washing the car one day proudly wearing my Norwich shirt, when they all started taking the piss out of me under the mis-apprehension that I might be jealous of them for playing for United.  Now if only I had known that one of them would play for the Binners that would surely have shut them up! In the 70''s I also lived around the corner from Emerson Fittipaldi (old Formula 1 driver who used to dirve for Lotus!).  Even less to write home about I guess.
 21.

Roeder says to expect a nice surprise on the 25th - almost as if there''s an agreement there (obviously can''t say anything as transfer window''s shut)
Cor, is he quitting then!.[;)]
OK then Wiz who do you want in charge of the club, who is the man that would shut you up moaning all the bloody time!!!! Come on Wiz tell us who the man is to take the club forward because i would bet you as much as you like after a couple of months you would be slagging your choice of as well!!
Only a few weeks ago he was firmly pro-Roeder Phatcanary9 - I think that by now there may be some evidence to suggest our Wiz just likes moaning and would not be happy if we appointed Alex Ferguson. But hey, I may be wrong [^o)]
he would say why sign Ferguson- he''s already of pensinoable age and should make way for someone younger, hungrier and in need of establishing themselves.  Plus as a knight he''s part of the establishment and the old boys network.  and is that anyway to treat a human being, giving them that old hairdryer treatment!
 22. I wanted Hucks out of the team in the middle of the season.  He is past it and can only turn it on for very short periods of time.  If it wasn''t for the ref''s myopic decision on Sunday, Hucks would have cost us the match anyway with his lack of support for Bertrand - this is the real reason he has been released. He has been treated pretty badly at the end of the season.  But as another person above mentioned no worse than other "City Legends" were treated at the end of their careers.  I don''t remember similar venom being aimed at the then incumbent manager, but there again we didn''t have message boards then and as it wasn''t a recession, most people were probably down a Restuarant in Norwich having a nice steak and a bottle of chianti enjoying life and looking to the future, rather than being down the pub looking for another scapegoat to express their unhappiness upon (that is said purely tongue in cheek guys before you start!!! By the way - the Sheffield Star thinks Sheffield United will try and pick him up despite his contention that he won''t play for another Championship club.  What if he actually did transfer to another club, would that be laid at Roeder''s door and would you support Hucks decision as vindication for his treatment by the Board - or would you label him a spin doctor on the same level as Munby / Doomcaster?  Purely hypothetical but I want to push the envelope on this vitriolic thread!
 23. This is just a provocative thought but maybe moving Muffin (hilarious!) to right back was GR''s way of setting Doc up for a bad discussion over his future with the club (or maybe it was aimed at Shackell?!)  Hopefully after a restful break GR can lose his "arrogance" and avoid Roeder Second Year Syndrome!  Not that the people on this Board will give him a rest though!  Over to you Mr Wiz?
