  1. Now I don't use this forum much but I'm beginning to sense this catchphrase is your go to escape route every time you type yourself into a corner 😂 You are quite funny though so please do continue on with your little internet personality routine. I'm off to study Sheffield United's fixture list while crying myself to sleep over the impending disaster of not adding a championship title to our honours list. See ya x
  2. Game plan for the players should be go for the win against Blackburn and Villa. Game plan for the fans should be support the players and management who have performed unbelievably well this season all the way. If we are pipped to the title by Sheff United don't catastrophize it while coming across like an entitled 11 year old losing the plot on an internet forum 😂
  3. Precisely. Bill you've completely missed the point. Do I want us to win the next two games? Yes. Do I want us to win the league? Absolutely. Will it matter when that whistle blows to kick off the first game of the premier League season? Nope. You are peddling the little old Norwich image by talking as if a championship trophy will define us in the years to come, of course it won't! Reading this forum I'm quite stunned by the amount of negativity, hysteria, finger pointing and pant wetting on show, attacking the players and the manager who are on what a 12 match unbeaten run? Who have lost 1 game this calendar year?! It's just so uncalled for given where we are and what we've unexpectedly achieved, so yes I am trying to bring back a little perspective here. Please everyone, enjoy it! Don't be a negative misery guts if it doesn't pan out the way we'd of course all prefer.
  4. The title means nothing as finishing 1st or 2nd place makes no difference, both get promotion to the premier league, both get unbelievably huge increases in revenue, both get the same amount of time to prepare for next season without division uncertainty. Not saying it wouldn't be a nice pat on the back of course... but it's the promotion that is an incredible achievement and one that seemed impossible at the start of the season! Which ever way the title goes, the journey to get here has been incredible and it will live long in the memory. Do yourself a favour and enjoy it while it's happening.
  5. Is Fleck really considered a legend in that company? I was a young kid when I started going to games and it was the tail end of his career then here admittedly, however I don't recall him being seen as a 'legend' in the years that followed either. Would have thought a certain famous Goss pose would have fit that space a bit better! Great banner though and the impact of the group driving all these efforts has been tremendous, hats off to them.
  6. I'd also extend this to the full backs, our width is absolute class with the 4 of them on the pitch but I'm not sure we have the reinforcements to cover any of them as effectively yet. They all seem pretty tough physically mind so if Emi cools his temperament a little maybe we'll never need to 😂
  7. He was really impressive all round, some moments of top draw quality with the worldy strike (and almost another, thanks Krul!) and never stopped running, worked so hard to press and close down our defenders. Really reminded me of Emi with the low-centre-of-gravity-wriggly-never-give-up-south-american-pit-bull-style of play! Couldn't help but think he'd fit farkes setup incredibly well...
  8. I hope this many fans don't bring so much nervousness into the stadium with them, you'll see it's completely irrational emotional thinking when you research the facts. Check the form table, despite 2 draws we are still 2nd (Villa top but not a direct threat outside of that final fixture). Leeds are 5th. Sheff United are 6th... Full Table 👉 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/formtabelle/wettbewerb/GB2 Focus on the positives, enjoy this journey, sing your heart out with pride. It's a rare treat we have been blessed with, I mean just imagine being an Ipswich fan right now! And my Leeds supporting friend is violently swinging from delirium to breakdown with every goal across 3 teams right now 😂
  9. Don't want to jump on the Cantwell bashing bandwagon, love the fact he's a local lad and hope he has a great career with us long term... however he just doesn't seem ready to be able to make a defining impact on a game, to put it basically assists or goals. Reading and Wigan two very different games. Reading sat back and invited pressure, he didn't show the invention to come anywhere near unpicking the lock. Wigan pressed us aggressively, he didn't show the speed, strength or technique to be able to work the play out of tight corners (In fact I really can't understand why we didn't have our best ball players Vrancic / Leitner play a part sooner in this situation). He's not alone in this of course and has massive shoes to fill in the incredible Buendia, but it does seem fairly obvious to me he isn't at the level required yet. I think if we are in the premier league next year then another loan would do wonders for him. Would love someone to tell me I'm wrong of course!
  10. Yep very happy about that, again great to come away with points late on after falling behind.
  11. Polite reminder people - We have won 25 points from the last 27 on offer!
  12. This. We will have a bad run at some point it's inevitable, but we must keep faith in the system, in our principles and in the philosophy long term. A knee jerk reaction of chucking large sums of money at short term solutions will only make things worse for a club like ours, it just isn't sustainable.
  13. Lambert has won 6 of his last 48 games, across 3 clubs. That's a 12.5% win ratio. Absolutely shocking and a lesson to us all, the grass isn't always greener!
  14. Yes both excellent. Credit to the two guys for putting the work in and growing this independent platform, it's lead to much more daring, honest and insightful interviews than the safer, duller, more formal NCFC coverage we get elsewhere *cough cough* 😉 Really looking forward to the next one!
  15. Funny thing is the photo doesn't even do it justice, they were booing him right up to the point where he lashed the ball home then he just went off on one and completely laid into them 😂 https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/championship/11653139/ipswich-1-2-reading
  16. TWTD is an absolute banger tonight! Fans starting to turn on Lambert, their worst ever manager, couldn't make it up 😂
  17. This thread just go's to show how incredible a turn around we are witnessing, to be fair to the OP it did take some time to see any light at the end of the tunnel at all... then BOOM! Everything seemed to click overnight, we have a management team that have assembled a brilliant squad on a shoe string budget while accelerating the growth of youth and selling the 'stars' of lesser teams for large profits. The owners have made mistakes in the past, but they must be commended for instigating ambitious change that's proving to be an exceptional move, they've learnt to identify the right football model and people to put trust in (the Jez Moxley debacle may prove to be a blessing in disguise long term) Really hoping everyone is enjoying this spectacular, crazy ride we are on.
  18. I hope that's a joke?! Hats off to all the people involved for improving the atmosphere and match day experience.
  19. It's Paul Lambert. It's a story and it means something to people. They are not "juvenile" as you so condescendingly put it for pointing it out.
  20. Honestly I have no idea what point you are trying to crowbar in here.
  21. It's called passion and pride. If football doesn't stir any emotions for you and the local rivalry means nothing, why bother following it frankly.
  22. To do that, score with all 3 shots on target, keep a clean sheet and go top of the league suggests we are definitely not s**t 😂
  23. If someone starts a petition on this I'll definitely sign it. His behaviour since he left has been disgraceful, shown no respect for the club whatsoever. I'm appreciative of his achievements during those great 3 years, but his actions since then...? Well his legacy is beyond tainted now surely. The guys got no class whatsoever, it's wrong that this odious little man is held up as a Norwich hero that's for sure.
