Emi Buendia - Transfer details

How does going to Croatia actually help? It's 10 days isolation either there or here, at least here he'd be with his family... -
Ipswich's Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

I think on the past it has been quoted as c.£12m, but can't back that up. I do remember though that Delia said the only reason she did her last TV series was because NCFC needed the money... -

I think you are seriously undervaluing the club there.... -
Ipswich's Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Having read some of the stuff written by Bristol city and Ipswich fans recently o think part of the 'why ipswich' question might in fact be Mark Ashton. From what the Bristol city fans say, he first made contact with the guys behind gamechanger on brizzles US tour in 2019, Bristol was obviously unavailable as an investment at that point and I suspect Ashton since then has been looking for a way to get into bed with them and Ipswich is a suitable ego vehicle that he can come in and take total control of. -
Since other people are dredging up the past, do you still want your Delia calendar @Tumbleweed

Brentford don't even have an academy though. They have a 'B team' of players with potential but not limited by age and just play friendlies instead of being in the u23 league. I would argue that Brentford do very little player development of the sort we or Southampton rely on... -

Do the pension fund actually own Ipswich though? I thought that the pension fund had loaned money to Gamechangers ltd, who are the actual owners. As such the pension fund wouldn't care whether or not Ipswich make huge profit, they are only interested in the loan repayments being made... -

Are you saying he was looking a bit less effervescent?

Tzolis Has Travelled For Greece
cornish sam replied to Ward 3's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Perhaps the Greeks just didn't want to take our word for it and want their docs to look at him before deciding if the injury is enough to not have him play. Got to admit I know very little about the Greek team so don't know if they have anyone semi-decent to play instead. -

I know our relative pauperism compared to other PL clubs has been discussed a lot, but, I was just looking on wiki's list of football club owners (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_owners_of_English_football_clubs) and in the top four divisions there is only one listed worth less than Delia & MWJ! I realise that there are a fair few not listed, but it is still quite shocking and really brings home how well we are doing in general and especially this window. -

Staying up in the PL requires a different approach
cornish sam replied to Thingy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
But you can't be pulis at the back and farke at the front, farkeball is a back to front transition, with pulis style at the back that simply can't happen. -

I wonder where they got £82k pw from? The Spanish paper (who will know because Spanish clubs have to file players contracts in a public database I believe) say he's on €2.5m pa or about £42k pw... I do often wonder why so many read/buy/believe the Sun (and the mail for that) -

On this plane thing, our players have been flown in by private JET so far haven't they? Yet Cardiff were willing to trust their record signing to a rickety 2 seated prop plane... I was surprised by that plane choice at the time, I'm even more amazed by it now. -

I remember years ago going to see nimes Vs Montpellier (whilst cantona was at nimes, got to be honest though, didn't notice until he signed for Leeds the next season) and that ended in a 28 man brawl on the pitch, the fans didn't really get involved though.... -
Have you forgotten about that one a few years ago? He had a few caps for Scotland and apparently he won the champions League...or at least I think he mentioned it once... Generally I agree with you though. The great players who become good managers are always those that work exceptionally hard on their game as well (like beckenbauer), oddly enough for this reason I could see ronaldo (Christiano) being a good manager of he so chose...

Sleeping … errr … I mean sitting with the enemy

Sitting in a Liverpool area for the last match in front of the kop, my stifled shout when we scored saw my chewing gum fly into the hair of the lady sitting in front of me. I spent the rest of the match leaning forward so no one noticed as I was too embarrassed to admit to it...
