1.
Huckerby situation while at Norwich was completely different to Holts. Hucks had been to bigger clubs for big fees and had already made a lot of money and wanted to be settled at a club that areciated him.   Holt has for the most part of his career been a lower League/non League journeyman and wouldn''t have earned nowhere near as much money as Hucks did!   Anyway before we know the truth, its all speculation!
Thats a pretty weak excuse! Hucks owed us nothing. Why is Grant Holt even in a position where he might leave for a ''bigger'' team? Huckerby, now there was a player who knew the concept of loyalty!!!!
 2. Maybe they are Republicans? Is it not possible to be a patriotic Englishman but not want to lick the royals families ar*e?
 3. I have not used this message board much this season, when I casually checked this lunch time I really could not believe my eyes! People are actually moaning about Paul Lambert????? Were these same people in attendance at Carrow Road on the 8th August 2009 when Colchester United beat us 7-1 in League 1? What Lambert has done for this club has been astounding. We are all but safe from relegation with 7 games to spare. In my wildest dreams I did not expect us to this well. To the moaners - Did you genuinely expect us to go the entire season without a poor run of form. the sort of run where we only win 1 in 6? Because if you did, then you are insane. I have been a fan of this great club since the early 90s and I have to tell you, most of that time we have not been very good. Try enjoying the good times sir, because it is entirely possible that we could go down in a few years time and spend another decade struggling in the championship.
 4. Had this conversation in the pub last night, just where does Lambert rank among our greatest managers? I think I concluded just below Walker, but above Stringer. Thinking of Walker though, next year it will be 20 years since Munich, thats mental does not seem that long
 5. It hard, because Iwan like Gunn was a absolute legend as a player. It was horrible watching Gunn fail so miserably and have city fans against him. I hope with time people remember Gunn the player and not Gunn the manager. If Iwan is serious I would prefer that he got experience managing lower league teams and if he proves successful then maybe in the future?
 6.
So we are doing it on the cheap again, and to think, Fernandes nearly took us on, the cook and small Fry have a lot to answer for imo.
Are you serious? Our cheap options have got us to 9th and 9 points clear of relegation, whilst QPR''s super star millionaire players have got them to 17th and a point above the relegation zone. Furthermore QPR under Fernandes stewardship are fast becoming a laughing stock trying to recruit players far too big for theier club and who have no intention of going. If you don''t trust Delia/McNally/Lambert now then you never will
Not sure what Abbott has to do with tonights incident, clutching at straws much?
No clutching at straws - it is relative. And it makes you thick not to realise that.
This is a football message board, and the discussion is about football related racism. Don''t hijack it and use it as a way to attack politicians you disprove of! There are loads of forums online you can discuss that sort of thing!!! On another note, I must say that I have lost a lot of respect for Liverpool FC and their fans!!!
Hijacking the thread was not my intent, I''m disgusted at Liverpool supporters actions I also feel for young Tom, but I insist that Abbott''s comment/s are relative -- people up & down the country would''ve witnessed via the media Abbott''s racist slur, including Liverpool fans - would you deny that the latter are not just a tad edged on in their vile actions by such remarks? Of course they are - I''m not making excuses for the scouse scum, neither am I lending them, Terry or the other tool any kind of justification, but the issue of racism in this country has once again raised its ugly head in the last couple of years for a reason and Abbott''s recent and former remarks do nothing to diminish the issue - in fact they positively inflame the situation.
How you can link a couple of racist scousers with a racist comment made by a politician is tenuous in the extreme. Racists do racist things because they are racist, nit because of what some politician says. Even if they had been aware of Diane Abbott''s comments they would also have seen the widespread condemnation of them by most people. Leave your politics of this message board!!!!
 8. Not too sure what happened there, but my point was aimed at shyster!

 10. Mourinho''s arrogance was almost tongue in cheek & he was very funny with it. Also he kinda had every right to be arrogant with the success he had. Unlike Warnock who has never achieved anything of note. He is just a loud mouthed pr*ck!

 12. I am not knocking Tierney, because he has played well this season, but against Arsenal he could not even get close to Walcott. Now I know that Wright-Phillips is not as good, but I can see the same happening again today. Problem is we don''t really have an alternative, if Tierney can''t cope with pace then Drury would be even more screwed. A new left back in January?
 13.
As it goes, if anyone in the Norwich squad deserves an England call it''s Pilkington.
Irish isn''t he?
 14. On standby for England U21http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/nov/02/danny-welbeck-phil-jones-under-21
 15.
At home and we want to play one striker up top against the bottom side. No ambition guys bennett was crap take him off holt on. Bennett can come on if needed to run at their tiring defense.
It is possible to play attacking football with only one striker, after all Bennett, Hoolahan & Pilkington are all attacking players, its not so much a 4-5-1, but more like a 4-2-3-1. I would stick with the system, but would start with Holt and stick Morrison on the bench.
 16. Thank god Paul Lambert is not such a sentimental sap as many of our fans appear to be. Some of you seem to think he should stay just because he is part of the team that got us promoted, but what about the players that Morrison, Vaughan, Bennet & Johnson are replacing? Should we not have signed those players?Look I would be happy enough if we go with Ruddy next season, but if there is the possibility of getting someone better why not? No one player is more important than the team!In my opinion Fraser Forster is better and if we could afford him and Newcastle want to sell him and he wants to come then fantastic, we should sign him and Ruddy can be backup.
 17. Cody only scored 20+ in league 2 so he cannot possibly do a job in the premier league!! Well what I have to say to that is: Imagine if we had taken that attitude when signing Grant Holt from LEAGUE 2.
 18.
I can''t believe some of you are defending the guy - there is a huge difference in making a racist remak aimed at somebody publicly be it on twitter or on the street, and accidently offending somebody by being ''un pc'' (whatever that means) or having a debate on the rights and wrongs of immigration. The ''you can''t say anything nowadays'' defence doesn''t wash in this case.
I am not defending him personally, he is clearly pond life, but I do defend his right to state his opinion, however odious it happens to be. There are plenty of city fans who utter the odd racist/sexist/homophobic remark, in fact many of them post on this message board, just check out the ''Its not just football'' section. Are we going to ban them all too? A lifetime ban? The bloke is 22, he is still young, he has only been an adult 4 years and at that age people make mistakes. Not making excuses for him, just think that a little perspective is needed here.
 19. Massive overreaction by the club here. Its just plain censorship, I believe in freedom of speech, that is the ideal that people have the right to express themselves however they see fit! Unless he made threats or directed his comments with vitriol towards one or a number of specific individuals? (I have not read what he posted). If they were just general racist comments then he is an ignorant fool, but if we are going to ban every ignorant fool we''ll be back to attendances of 14,000!!!
 20. Are teams not allowed to offer more than 3,000 then? Its just that so many premier league clubs don''t sell out their grounds so I would have thought they would offer as many as they could sell? Worst case scenario have to sit with the home fans. Here is a link to teams attendances this season and the proportion of their ground that was left empty.                                                                                    PL          Total          Highest    Average   Capacity    % FullArsenal (3)19114048060112600256043299.3% 2Manchester United (1)18135167775486750937576999.1% 3Chelsea (2)1978727141829414354205598.5% 4Tottenham Hotspur (5)1864224936197356813631098.2% 5Blackpool (18)1929986716116157821622097.2% 6Wolverhampton Wndrs (16)1849721329086276232852596.8% 7Manchester City (4)1882709247679459504800095.7% 8Stoke City (9)1848273727508268192838494.4% 9Liverpool (6)1981358444923428204536294.3% 10Fulham (8)1845013625694250082660094.0% 11Newcastle United (12)1885500251988475005238790.6% 12Everton (7)1864602639673358904039488.8% 13West Ham United (20)1856889334941316053564788.6% 14West Bromwich Albion (11)1946897626196246832800388.1% 15Aston Villa (13)1866363040688368684255186.6% 16Birmingham City (17)1948377528270254623000984.8% 17Sunderland (14)1976021447869400114900081.6% 18Blackburn Rovers (15)1947499529867250003136779.7% 19Bolton Wanderers (10)1840824326881226802872378.9% 20Wigan Athletic (19)1929738818820156522513862.2%

 22.
12 years service as a player 390 caps a Norwich city legend is condemned as the anti-christ because of a disastrous 8 month tenure as manager! Some people are pathetic, we just got back to the premier league and with those dark days now firmly in the past I chose to remember Bryan Gunn the goalkeeper and not Bryan Gunn the manager.
That of course should read 390 appearances not caps.
