1.
I know that Tottenham and Man Utd have been watching our youngsters recently.
Tottenham scout for this area used to live in Aylsham so no doubt that is true I believe they are always watching our youngsters.  I should think Man U and others have regional scouts that watch the regions youngsters.
2. I have to agree with you silver fox.  It seems that the Jarvis Bros are definitely out of favour with Grant and the current management team.  I have said before though I wonder if some of the youngsters have been hyped up a little too much!!!! I think that Martin Hunter must be a good judge of youngsters having worked for so long in the England youth set up that maybe they just are not good enough.  I have always campagined for the youngsters to be given a chance but maybe they are not ready.  IMO Michael Spillane will still be a very big player for us in the future, but I am not sure about the Jarvis''s
3. Rossi Jarvis started his career in the youth set up at  Norwich as a centre back.  He then moved to right/left back then to midfield.  I think his lack of pace may have had something to do with this.  It appears at the moment that the management team may be looking at the youngsters differently than under the previous team and perhaps Martin Hunter with his knowledge of youth players has identified players best roles!!! .  I know that in Spillane it was always thought he would be a good centre half and he certainly has the size and pace to be this.   I would have to say at this moment in time I would personally favour Michael above Rossi in that position.
4. I think you will find that most people agree Rossis best position is right back, although he has played in midfield (as Andrew Cave Brown is a natural right back with pace he would always be first choice for that position) but Rossi has played most of his football in the back four.  He will have more of a chance maybe now that Andrew Cave Brown is injured, but that doesn''t seem the position we are struggling in.  After all we always have Flem as cover!!!!!
5.
peter grant said he would NOT play players out of position, so he has to stop now! on tuesday he must play players, even if they are youngsters in the right position, i.e eagle on the left. i would like to see him phase in the likes of eagle, spillane and rossi jarvis now and get rid of the deadwood. team i would like to see on tuesday if earny and hux arenot fit is this: gallacher, colin, drury, shackell, rossi jarvis, croft, eagle, spillane, etuhu, dublin, ryan jarvis. subs lewis, robinson, doherty, mlj, smart. i know its a gamble but why not after yesterdays pathetic effort?
This would mirror what Scum have done over the past couple of years, they have bloodied their youngsters in gradually, and are now reaping the beneifts as they are quite accustomed to the championship.  Whislt it is not too late for the likes of Rossi Jarvis, Robert Eagle, Michael Spillane etc. I do feel it should have been done some time ago.  Also I do wonder what must be going through Robert Eagles head when he plays well in the games he has played so far, yet he is left of the bench in favour of someone who has no left foot when he himsleft is a natural left footer.
6. The 1.5 hour rule applies to school boys only once they sign a scholarship there is no limit we currently have boys from Scotland, Ireland, Denmark etc. also Andrew Cave Brown came from Charlton when he was not offered a scholarship there.  So we can get "rejects" as Mook so finely puts it.
7.
Hang on a minute.  He''s only 20 years old. From what I''ve seen he has good potential as a predatory box player (scoring twice against Rotherham), but lacks another string to his bow at this stage.  If Earnie leaves in January he could come into his own.
He may only be 20 but it wasn''t that long ago he was playing in the same England team as Wayne Rooney & Aaron Lennon!!!!!!  I just don''t believe he has what it takes to become championship player, he has always been a luxury player no doubt he has skill but he it not workmanlike enough for a team likes ours imo.
8. At least PG is watching the youth, Worthy was never to be seen at Colney on a Saturday morning  (Although when Norwich travelled to Arsenal even Arsene Wenger stood and watched the matches) or at many reserve games unless he had players coming back from injury.  That must be a little encouraging for the youngsters. I am still concerned that maybe they are actually not as good as the "press" would have us believe.
9. I have always been one for wanting worthy to play the youth, but I am now begining to think that maybe they just aren''t good enough to play at this level.  I feel this must be the case as Martin Hunter decided to put none of them on the bench even on saturday and he knows all about youth.  I am also worried how they will progress when they are playing only 2 games a month in the reserve league.  But I think  maybe it is a sign of how far away they actually are when they are not producing the goods against these teams.  I know last year some reserve matches were completely one sided but it must have done the lads some good, if nothing else at least playing every week.  Any one else have views, Charlies Dad I would be interested in your opinion as like me I know you attend many games.
10. Sadly if anybody knows about youngsters it is Martin Hunter due to his involvement in the England youth set up.  Maybe he just DOESN''T think any of the lads are up to it!!!
11. I would be quite surprised if Rossi Jarvis starts as he has just played a couple of games for England in Austria this week.
12. I also fear that the team listed would be relegated.  I also think than although Croft, Shacks & Jarvis are "young" there are many players who are younger than them who are actually already making their mark in the premiership and for England.  I personally feel(after watching the youth and reserves for a long time) that Andy Cave Brown and Michael Spillane are the real talents.  I also think that Chris Martin is playing really well in midfield and could be one to look out for in the future. Why not judge for yourselves, get over to Carrow Road tonight!!!!
13.
Some of us feel a sense of sad relief. What would you have, Worthington as Manager until he is 65 and we are in the Conference?
Some of us just feel sheer relief!!!!
14. Maybe he know it would be Thornes last chance and decent manager will not play him
15. I dont think he is being judged on this game alone, lets face it hes had a couple of years of trying to ruin our club and if I was doing such a bad job for my company I would certainly be on a final warning if not sacked. He deserves to go as he obviously has the man magement skills of a gnat, he lets his own feelings etc get in the way of the team ie dropping players because they have had a fall out.
16. I THINK YOU HAVE THAT ABOUT RIGHT, WOULD AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE MYSELF.
17. Left out yet again as per usual with the youngsters come into the team do well DROPPED, I am sorry to say it but Ipswich have got it right they introduced their youngsters and let them play a few games to get used to it and now some of them are doing well.  We play our youngsters they do well they disappear for ages.  I find it amazing that we hear all the hype about our youngsters Rossi Jarvis, Michael Spillane etc and what happens we bring in a 19 year old on loan to play left back (a position both of these lads have played) and we play Spillane in the youth team!!!! what message does this give out to all youngsters involved with Norwich City? I must say I am quite bewildered.
18. Rumours were at the start of the season that Worthy would be given 10 games to prove himself this season.  All I can say is "I LIVE IN HOPE" so in answer to your question I think he will be in charge next weekend but hopefully not long after ......... One rumour I really hope is true.
19. I think you are right it is time for Ryan Jarvis to move on.  He will not get on at Norwich imo, but I do think he has somethng to offer at league 1/2 level.  I also believe there were several youngsters signed this year ie Halliday, Fisk, Eagle just to take the pressure off Worthington after all the fuss made last season.  I do not believe he has any intention of playing them and they were signed to make up the numbers for reserve team football.   I totally disagree with your last comment.
20. Seen him play a couple of times in reserve matches nice player think he will do well in the championship.
21. Joe Lewis is too old to play youth team football, the reserves only have 18 "matches" so I think he will hardy "knacker" himself if he is first team back up, do agree that we need a 3rd keeper but just wanted to put you right on the situation regarding Joe.
22.
That pratt Tony Cottee on Sky Sports has not mentioned one good thing about us, he has Leeds running the game - he''s a disgrace as well as being probably the worst player to play for the club together with Walsh.
I watched sky sports Cottee was very complimentary to Norwich, said just before the goal that apart from the first 10 mins Norwich had dominated!!!!!!
23. Agree with you bout Cave Brown watch Scotland in Uefa U19s final was amazed how rapid he actually was, I was once told that the outpaced Huckerby in training and thats when he really got noticed on that showing on Saturday I wouldn''t be surprised if he actually is.  I am pleased that when Worthy is saying in the press today about some youngsters "not being ready" he didn''t include Cave-Brown I think he would do a fine job at right back.
24. Cave Brown cannot kick with left foot at all great right back, definate no no for left back imo
