  1. Sadly we got exactly what I was expecting, down to a chirpy Wagner praising the team at the end. For a change I was just hoping we wouldn’t show so much respect, be so open to errors, and to ruff the youngsters in the opposition. I’m probably very old school, nostalgic, because cup football for me should have that extra edge, underdogs fight and disrupt. Overall I accept a new era is prevailing.
  2. For me another layer of chagrin, to hear our manager clearly quite happy afterwards.
  3. As Fowler just said, one would expect more from us, that really says it all.
  4. I genuinely think Liverpool would of been a little more concerned pre match if draw had been v Wrexham or Newport, because they would not of shown such respect to reds. Most disappointing is the utter predictability of the game, and sadly pre match no sense of anticipation.
  5. An early tram from Hawthorns might be in order today, Albion not going to get back into this
  6. It was so enjoyable, Gippeswyk did look like they would be 3-0 up in 5 minutes, and I thought for once the underdog would completely capitulate. I was about to text my bro that Maidstone didn’t appear to have an attack in them, then ……
  7. It comes from the top, the British Queen of the Iceni, and our own co owner, long tradition of East Anglian hero’s.
  8. Does everything have to be black and white? I disagree that this was our best performance of the season, I saw better v Saints Huddersfield away, but it was the most professional. WBA are a more mature side than us, mentally stronger, but lacking up front, despite Ashanti’s improved form. We have some quality but I suspect we will continue to be inconsistent, it’s a slow and long road for the club after sailing high and getting burnt. OTBC
  9. I’ve only been to Anfield once, and at the end of the game got my scarf stolen, in the Park, always tie a tight knot.
  10. In the early 80s, I wanted to have an evening out and be incognito. My companion suggested the Caribbean Club on Rose Lane and she led the way. We found ourselves at a table with Justin Fashanu. I was star struck, and had to be politely told not to talk about football. It was Saturday and City had lost to Man United at Old Trafford that afternoon, Justin had been substituted due to injury. I have to say the image of him on the dance floor has lingered with me, he looked superb, fit and handsome. A Hackney lad.
  11. Where are the ‘mewling and puking’ 0.001%now- it’s all gone quiet ….
  12. In some arenas long held rivalries, prejudices and fears becomes show cased. Football can be one of those outlets, a people in crowds do change. I’ve always been surprised at the genuine aggression and suspicion of rural linked clubs like ours from some big city fans; it’s clearly more than banter or **** taking, there’s real animosity. I live in London so notice.
  13. Could the person in seat 118 please step forward
  14. Enjoyed that video last night, and always thought a good gauge of a club is what other supporters say. Internally ‘fans’ often cannot see the wood for the trees. Also predictably some on here revert to usual insults, and not very original ones - great post mate.
  15. 100% crud. Every sensible person tries to plan for long term in a business, in our case a 3 year transition medium term plan is a start.
  16. I’m very reluctant to criticise, especially after that taking out of the Gippeswyk keeper recently, but I just don’t see him as our type of player. He was good for Burnley, but maybe I’m a tad arrogant but I still believe in a Norwich way. I’d rather see a youngster in, and slowly build over next 3 years.
  17. Sorry but have to issue with this type of thinking. I’m not sure how far you have reached in your career. I’ve not been much of a success, still a Nurse in my dotage. Sutch played over 300 games for us over year career, 4 under 21 caps for his country, a damn good career in a tough environment.
  18. I understand a blanket is being carried around at the WBA game, for us all to contribute.
  19. Dissatisfion takes many forms. I’m not impressed with the approach of many of our fan base for instance to our current challenges. I think the average employee of the company should be paid more, and the players and executives less - what due I do? Is that lack of ambition. I’ll get me sheet.
  20. One of the unwritten laws of the Unenlightened entitled is ….”. no other club would put up with this “…. No other set of fans….etc etc, of course the reality is the exact opposite.
