Anyone know how many we're taking to Brizzle?
Matt Juler replied to Feedthewolf's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We used to drink at a small pub called the Nova Scotia, about a 10 minute walk from Aston Gate. Had to be mindful of how many cloudy ciders to have if you wanted to have any memories of the game! -
It was tight, but was clearly outside.

He certainly wasn't the reason why we lost today, but it was a typical shocking performance from Keith Stroud.

Final game of the season moved
Matt Juler replied to JPukks's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Thousands of people work on a Saturday and Sunday too. It's a UK Bank Holiday, so to me it seems a very reasonable day to play a football match. I would have gone to the Birmingham match next weekend, but now can't make it on Tuesday 21st. These things happen. -

Birmingham Game On 28th January Postponed
Matt Juler replied to KiwiScot's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Have you considered using the Capital Canaries travel? It's £34 for a flexible return valid for a month, bookable until 9am on the Thursday before a match. There is no annual membership fee anymore, so it's a very good deal. -
Clamp down on this cheating
Matt Juler replied to PockthorpePete's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We said just the same yesterday during the game. Holding on to the ball, or blocking access, should be treated the same as kicking the ball away with a yellow card. -
Why no tactical subs today?
Matt Juler replied to rock bus's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Did any of the press ask a question about the lack of substitutions? -
The fact that Mick blocks anyone on Twitter that has a different opinion to him sums him up really. Maybe that is why he sees things through very green and yellow glasses since he only see the tweets from the 2% who are still behind Webber, Smith et al.

Will go and take a look, thanks.

Kudos to the Club Online Store!

Where in North Carolina are you? Work pre-pandemic regularly took me to Wilmington and Research Triangle. -
I would expect something like this from Arsenal, if that match had already of happened. "We began our preparations for the Premier League restart with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Watford, which saw the Championship side run out 4-2 victors. The game at London Colney was a first chance for those members of our first-team not at the World Cup to get some minutes under their belts since beating Wolves three weeks ago, and goals from Marquinhos and Eddie Nketiah saw us lead 2-1 at the break. However, after we made 10 changes at the break, the victors - who also began at full-strength - managed to overturn the deficit to pick up a timely win ahead of the resumption of their league season next weekend."

There was some talk before the World Cup break that Norwich would be facing a team that they had already played this season in a behind closed doors friendly before the season restarts this coming weekend. Does anyone know whether this has happened, or is going to happen in the next couple of days? A number of other clubs have posted highlights of similar games, such as Watford getting a decent 4-2 win against Arsenal at London Colney.

Why do they mutilate their socks
Matt Juler replied to keelansgrandad's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Wes was one of the first to do it at Norwich, he would actually tape on the top upside down. Apparently it is so they can wear a sock that they are comfortable in, not the football sock supplied by Nike, Umbro, Joma, etc.. In this photo you can see Wes' socks compared to Kei Kamara. -
Pleased about Boxing Day, I can now go to the Aldershot Panto matinee performance to see Uncle Tom as one of the Ugly Sisters without being scowled at for continuously looking at Twitter updates on my phone. There will be plenty of time to get home, have a good spread of food, and then watch the match. Perfect. As for Blackburn and the clash with the Strictly final...

Things to do while watching our matches online
Matt Juler replied to Canary Jedi's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Had a lot of the furniture for our new bathroom delivered yesterday, so sorted through that to make sure all was present and correct. -
The aircraft that took the squad up to Manchester is now scheduled to depart back to Norwich at 1400 tomorrow instead of 2300, so I would say that confirms it.

I think the 'King' part will be fine, but 'her' to 'him' will be troublesome! I think one guy near me still sings Worthy's Green Army.

Standing on the terrace having a moment of reflection followed by singing the national anthem vs staying at home and most likely doing some DIY on the house. I know which one is more patriotic and what should be the case, but imagine it will end up being the latter. RIP Your Magesty.

Far from a fool. He signed wee Billy at Brighton, so that's one less issue for him to solve at Chelsea!

Sarge - world cup impact?
Matt Juler replied to Basel_NCFC's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Championship is only paused for the group stages. -
I think there should be an extended window for these players to be loaned. Just a few days, a week maybe, after the 25 man squads are initially announced.

Why no PL goals on Sky Sports News?

The three minute videos in YouTube from Sky are great. -
Should kick off times move?
Matt Juler replied to A Load of Squit's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I can remember watching the away leg of the Milan game at school too. -
As a season ticket holder that can't routinely get to midweek games, I'd like to see the option to get a free stream instead of the potential for £15 if the club can resell my ticket.
