  1. I think Surfer is implying that if someone.... never mind, Surfer has already explained it.
  2. Easy everyone. Clearly the OP made a simple typo. The title should read, "Bielsa chokes".😉
  3. I searched my feelings and discovered Paul Lambert was my father and my dog is a binner. Nothing worchestershire than that!
  4. ... winning promotion on the road against Stoke followed by winning the league at home against Blackburn on Saturday.
  5. I would like to hear Farke’s explanation as to why he waited so long.
  6. Someone needs to get Farke the number for subs: 1-800-Vrancic-On
  7. I agree, Alex. The lads have proved themselves in the Championship and they absolutely deserve an opportunity to prove themselves in the PL. My only concern and I truly mean my only concern, is that we make too many mistakes in defense that we can get away with in the Championship. In this league we can make five defensive mistakes in a game and maybe be seriously troubled about three times and scored on once. In the PL we will be unequivocally punished three out of five times. Other than that, I’m truly going to enjoy watching the lads have fun rising to the occasion!
  8. I will admit, I read this when I woke up and because PL actually has the characteristics of a quitter, I believed it!
  9. https://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/455397/lambert-there-would-have-been-no-complaints-if-wed-won-4-2/#0 No 5hit Sherlock!!
  10. Yes wind can and will have an impact, but depending on which way it blows, it can either zip the ball too far down the field, or hold the ball up in the air. In my opinion the wind does not compliment a long ball game unless those launching the ball are able to take a little off, else risk it sailing out of the end of the field. Into the wind shouldn’t be a problem with plenty of hang time. keeping it on the ground will win the day. Ofcourse the goalies will have to be on their toes to make sure they’re not scored on by the opposing goalie!
  11. No question. Each team in it’s day was a promotion winning side. So credit to each of them. But this team we are watching now; the pace, the precision of pacing, the intensity, the coherency and connectiveness from front to back, combined with the instinctiveness of combined passes and pull the trigger in front of goal, would blow the other teams off the field. Each of the teams discussed where fantastic in their day, but what we are seeing in the team at the moment is special. Not only is it special, but it’s also transposable into the premiere league. This team won’t have to retool when they get promoted. The system is already in place. Full respect to Hucks & Holty. Hands down legends of the club. But sports is a transitional world where the bar is raised every generation and even with that taken into consideration, the current team would beat the other two.
  12. Too much talking. He’s been captain of the good ship Ip5hit for five months and has produced nothing but sound bites. The only reason he’s still their is by default. I’m sure Evans is tired of hitting the eject button. Out of the kindness of my heart I’d say God help them. But God (however you wish to define or not define God) has no chance of getting through to those who are legends in their own self-absorbed mind (the gap).
  13. Even though I wanted WestBrom to win today, I’m also glad that Leeds won and went top. It will keep the players on their toes and avoid complacency at the business end of the season. Also, I’m not for one second buying into the ‘easy fixture’ list at this time of year. If we were coming out of Christmas and I to the New Year with the same list of games to play, then maybe. But just as we are fighting for an automatic spot, so too are just about half the teams we’re set to play fighting to reach guaranteed safety and avoid relegation. One game at a time and every opponent requires respect. My only genuine concern is that some of the teams fighting for survival may become desperate and end up injuring a couple of our players. Other than that, I approach each game with a quiet confidence that business will be taken of.
  14. I’d like to see a West Brom win for reasons mentioned by Hairy Canary. Plus, it will turn the screw on the perennial Leeds meltdown. The fans will begin to feel their stomachs turning over as they once again witness their team implode, which has been reinforced by the fact that they’ve lost lost half their games since the new year. The pressure has also been amped up by the speculative article in the Mail saying Radrizzani may sell the club if they fail to gain promotion. I know this has been denied, but non-the-less the idea has been released into the ether to haunt the fans.
  15. It’s one thing to understand how NCFC play the game and a whole other thing to actually play against NCFC. As Vince Lombardi said, (paraphrasing) “It doesn’t matter if the opposition know what we’re about to do, because we’re going to execute at such a level that they can’t stop it happening.”
  16. I agree. But there’s a certain satisfaction in beating Ipswich to go top!
  17. I would choose to carry myself with a little more class. No one can deny Lambert did wonders for our club during his term at NCFC. Don’t blame the man for the job he has taken. I wish him well. To treat him with a lack of respect is simply poor form.
  18. Everyone is talking as though they’re going to change someone else’s perspective on the topic of racism. If it’s not racism, it’s ageism. If not ageism it’s sexism. If not sexism is bigotry. If it’s it’s not bigotry then it’s some religious slur. And if anyone believes they don’t have an ‘ism’ in them that creates a prejudice thought, then that person is truly ignorant. Stop blaming how you feel on what other people say and you’ll find that taking responsibility for your own thoughts and feelings actually empowers you against the stupidity of ignorance.
  19. So by your logic, if you caught a 9 year old stealing candy from a store, and that kid said they’d done many times before, you’d just leave them be? A minor issue is best dealt with when it is exactly that, minor. Left unchecked this could end up having three or four bucket trucks from different clubs parked outside our training ground with people watching from 30’ in the air. Just because this situation isn’t as ‘bad’ as others in the sport is no reason to ignore it. Slap it on the wrist now. Slap it hard.
  20. An unexpected three points here would make up nicely for the expected points we dropped against Derby.
