iron_stan 0 Posted November 30, 2013 theres a lot of people on here who seem to make their decisions based on what way ten minutes of football goif snodgrass had played he would have said redmond was dead wood
sonyc 5,518 Posted November 30, 2013 Hoolahan should have been playing most games in my opinion. Too often CH has kept the same personnel. At least today to give him credit he is changing formations within the matches with Redmond and Wes.
The Big Bad Wolf 0 Posted November 30, 2013 We just need an early goal in the second half and that should be that. Good old Wes!
The Great Mass Debater 1,090 Posted November 30, 2013 We always look better with Wes. Some good stuff today. Tactics right. Wonder if we''ll see Becchio for Elmander late on?! Good to see what we expect from Gary Hooper, the composure he is known for. Hope we keep this up. Ray commentating, hmm, wonder if there has been a Hughton/Houghton mix-up? Wouldnt be the first time! Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 I can see Wes playing a similar role to Nasri at Man City. Despite being positioned out wide, he is allowed (and encouraged) to drift into central areas and then play through passes. Combine it with an attacking full-back (Olsson) who will drive into vacated space, and you''ve got an effective left side. It also means that Redmond gets to play the ''Navas'' role and stay out wide, take on players with his pace and cross.
Kangaroo Court 0 Posted November 30, 2013 I''ve been saying drop Snodgrass ever since his penalty cock-up. Apart from one good free kick he hasn''t done anything to prove he deserves to be the automatic first choice that Hughton has made him. Maybe dead wood is too harsh but Hughton shouldn''t be so slow to drop out of form players and use the whole squad. Great to see Hoolahan back and proving his worth but why did it take an injury crisis for him to get a crack this season?
iron_stan 0 Posted November 30, 2013 hoolahan is too error prone to play all the timewe are playing palace dont get too excited, its not barcelonaif snodgrass is fit then its redmond and snoddy and hoolahan doesnt play
Budapest Canary 152 Posted November 30, 2013 It''s nice to see one of our strikers scoring... Exciting first half, come on City!
sonyc 5,518 Posted November 30, 2013 Yes agree TGMD, I would bet on Becchio having 10 or even 15 minutes for Elmander

Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Hooper was able to kill that aerial ball stone dead. What a first touch.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Great to see Wes back and playing well. The main thing about him imo is his ability to bring others into the game.
Syteanric 1 Posted November 30, 2013 Palace looking to step it up. might be worth giving it 5 mins and getting Johnson on for Elmander and going 4-5-1?
NWC 240 Posted November 30, 2013 Palace starting H2 like a freight train!
PortlandCanary 0 Posted November 30, 2013
The manager should have cleared away the dead wood that is Snodgrass and Pilkington long ago but it''s left to an injury "crisis" to get players in the team who actually deserve to be there.
So Snodgrass and Pilkington are DEAD WOOD? Surely you must have been inhaling reactor paint when you wrote that.
Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Palace are getting the second ball at the minute, rushing us into clearances. Plays into their hands.
iron_stan 0 Posted November 30, 2013 need to put our foot on the ball and knock it around at the back for five minutes. palace are getting back into it because we keep hoofing it up the park straight to them
Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Palace are pressing much more aggressively, trying to stop us from passing. Need to stay calm and try and play our way out.
Brightside 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Come on city!!! Feel we need another to put this game to bed. Fulham and Stoke losing which will be great for us
Houston Canary 0 Posted November 30, 2013 I hope the half time speech wasn''t to sit on the lead and defend. No need to do so without a 2 goal lead but that''s what its looked like so far.
Phillip J Fry 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Decent ball from Redmond, someone should be running for that far post.

Herman 9,765 Posted November 30, 2013 Are we allowed to only play one half?
iron_stan 0 Posted November 30, 2013
Are we allowed to only play one half?
makes you wonder doesnt itthe reason bassong nearly put that in his own net is because hoolahan lost the ballfor every good thing he brings he always loses the ball and gives the opposition chances
Surfer 1,547 Posted November 30, 2013 O.K Chris, 65 minutes, Palace starting to dominate … what''s your move?….
