Wouldn''t grass his driver up, I respect that.  If my work driver did that, I''d do exactly the same thing.  If I didn''t, I''d probably end up with a divorce petition.

I know people that have lost loved ones because of speeding drivers losing control.

He may just have been slack about sending back the form. Holt attended court for a similar offence not long after joining us. A relatively minor offence becomes more serious if the paperwork isn''t sent back and means court attendance becomes inevitable.

That''s why we have courts.
... and he is a socialist. Says it all really.
And that has what to do with his honesty? Or his ability as a football manager for that matter...hasn''t done Alex Ferguson any harm.

Ah, but socialists are purported to be the moral leaders of the community, so he should have owned up.  Maybe some of the self-righteous lefties on here will  now remain quiet. Personally, I don''t see what Hughton had to gain by his actions. He is not a poor man and he has now been denigrated by his own hand. Sad IMO.
Pardon me, but one of the reasons I love football is that it''s generally a politics-free zone. Pleasantly devoid of flag waving morons of one colour or the other who still haven''t grasped the fact that whoever you vote for, the government still gets in. By the time they get anywhere near real power, politicians are self-serving, lying, thieving parasites almost to a man.Now can you f*** off out of a football forum with your politics, tory boy.

Didn''t Holt get banned from driving while we were in League One or the Championship for a while for the same kinda thing?

Probably asked the driver to step on it but didn''t grass on him when the chips were down.

If that''s the case - my respect has doubled

So it''s ok to ask your driver to speed even though we are told that speed kills ?   .. and that earns respect .... hmmmmm

I know the wussy "innocent until proved guilty" thing is just some left-wing ploy to try to get hardened criminals acquitted but it is the law of the land and we are stuck with it until this Tory government for which we all voted and of which we had such high hopes grows a pair and takes us back to the good old days of throwing people in rivers to see whether they float. And sadly it so far hasn''t been proved that there was speeding, let alone that Hughton has failed to disclose to the authorities anything he should have.

I fear for your sanity sometimes Paul. What have these idiots got to do with a speeding case?I haven''t read anywhere Chris moralizing on speeding and the dangers thereof.
