Looked a very talented player last season & was unfortunate with Simeon Jackson hitting a real purple patch not to feature more,

Interesting that he''s not featured much for ayo Vallecano, I''ve heard he''s not seen eye to eye with the manager?

Basically, he went on loan to A.Madrid, who have an option to buy him. But I believe shortly after that deal was arranged they had a change in manager. He then went on loan to another La Liga side, a relatively poor one at that. And he''s barley played.

I''m sure if Lambert wants him, he''ll be here in the summer. Can''t imagine A.Madrid will want him, they are one of the top non Barca/R.Madrid sides in the league (so really on par with Spurs, Arsenal). And Liverpool probably don''t either. So if Lambert thinks he can put him to good use (and just because he''s done little this season, doesn''t mean Lambert won''t get the best out of him) he could be a Norwich player very easily. Its just wether or not Lambert wants him.

good on the lad, he obviously really enjoyed it here and it has shown since if you follow him on twitter. I wonder if he wants to use the game to show Lambert he wants to be here and what he can do again.I thought he did well in his loan spell, his performance against doncaster (i think) was unbelievable, but so was the teams performance. I am not sure i think he''s as good as a lot of people on here seem to think, but i would like to see him given another shot on the team, wouldn''t pay more than 2M for him though (just because i don''t think he will be as starter straight away next season and that''s what our priority is first) or waste a loan slot, but he would be a great addition to the squad

I doubt he''d cost us half that to be honest. Liverpool don''t seem interested in him any more and it doesn''t sound like he''ll be sticking around in Spain. Also he only has a year left on his contract. I reckon we could probably get him in for about 500k.

He''s only 21 so does that mean he wouldn''t count towards the 25 man squad?

Either way I reckon he''d be a good buy. Obviously buys into the team''s spirit and could be a great understudy to Wes.

He is only 21 and wouldn''t count as part of the 25 man squad next season.  Wages wouldn''t be huge either.  He has 2 years left on his Liverpool contract, he has never been a regular feature anywhere, I reckon you could get him for c.£1m.

He''s good, not great, but what he does have is potential and I know Lambert would get the best out of him.  If he could be had for c. £1m and bearing in mind he won''t be taking a place in the 25 man squad I''d take him.

He had one good game against...wait for it... Scunthorpe. Didn''t shine much in the other games. We''ve moved on since then.

I have to smile sometimes, we''re talking about a 21 year old striker who''s played at every level for the Spanish national U* sides, was rated by Liverpool as being a hot prospect so they prised him from Barca, but now due to 2 different manager changes (1 at Lpool and 1 at At.Mad) he''s been stuck on the fringe instead of getting the game time he needs, and instead of taking the sensible approach and thinking that it won''t affect our squad allocation, or that he''s not likely to be a risky gamble money wise - he''s dismissed as not being good enough for us. Seriously, when did we become bigger and better than Barca, Liverpool or even At.Madrid? They all though he was good enough, and many Norwich fans would agree, but no, apparently he''s overrated and no better than the likes of Wilbraham and Jackson...Here''s an example of a player who clearly wants to return to the club, who played well on loan and showed great technical ability with good finishing, and is still very young with his best years to come. I''d argue that if he was available for less than a million - we''d be crackers not to sign him up.I just don''t get the negativity, or where suddenly fans think we''re playing in the Champions League etc, and should only be signing the likes of Rooney, Messi or Van Persie...

I think both he and Lansbury are somewhat overrated. I will be the first applaud the commitment and enthusiasm both showed whilst on loan. Hence why as supporters we all have a lot of time for them as individuals.

But I don''t think either would be a signing that would now significantly improve us from what I have seen. Lansbury has not been an automatic selection for West Ham this year and Pacheco has also found games very hard to come by.

Jacko, wouldn''t you agree none of our signings significantly improve the team. Lambert doesn''t buy stars, he buys decent players who will fit in. If he feels Lansbury and/or Pacheco do, (and i''m fairly sure he wanted to buy Lansbury last summer) then i''ll be delighted.

Just because they hadn''t been getting games this year, doesn''t mean they aren''t good enough. Wasn''t one of or both even out of Fox and Tierney pretty much out of the Colchester first team once Lambert left?

He''s got a proven track record of getting players who most would consider not good enough by some distance, and turning them into squad players more than good enough. Why would Lansbury and Pacheco be any different if he wanted to sign one or both?

Not mentioning of course that he scored one of our best goals of that season against Coventry.   Just because you would not play someone in the mud at Watford doesn''t mean that thery wouldn''t shine at the Emirates.

If you are going to be homophobic at least come up with a joke that isn''t 20 years old.

But I guess as the average participate on Family Fortunes had an I.Q. of around 30 that might be a little hard for you.

It was Fox who was in the Colchester reserves because Bothroyd''s hit and hope or "percentage football" as he liked to call it didn''t suit someone who''s biggest asset was to get on the ball and attempt to pass it. So I definitely accept that just because it doesn''t work out for someone at a particular club it doesn''t mean they can''t do the job here. Thats been a key part of Lambert''s recruitment strategy. Russell Martin being another fantastic example.

But the difference with these two is that they have already been at Norwich once before. These wouldn''t be completely fresh signings as they have played under Lambert before. During their time here I don''t think either really banged the door down and said "you have to sign me" on the strength of their performances. In the way that we would sign someone like Naughton now if we had the opportunity to financially.

Players can obviously improve with age. But Pacheco seems to have gone backwards since then by virtue of the fact he never plays and Lansbury is fulfilling the same bit part role at West Ham that he did for us.

But Jacko, i''m almost certain Lambert did try and sign Lansbury. But Arsenal wanted too much for him (a player they don''t even want at the club, and isn''t a regular starter in the Championship for two years now). Not sure about Pacheco. And these two names keep coming back and back, so they obviously impressed enough for Norwich fans to be talking about them a year later.

I''m not saying we will, or should sign them. I just think if Lambert does end up signing one or both, we have nothing to worry about, which you may very well agree with anyway.

He seems more obsessed with NCFC than vice versa.

Get him in. He sure ain''t no Sammy Clingan. I''m impressed by the little man''s love and loyalty as well as his undoubted skill.

A brief loan spell and he still continually Twitters Norwich City and returns for a testimonial. What a breath of fresh air and pertinent to Cambridge Canary''s points in the Clingan thread.
