25overpar 0 Posted August 2, 2011 Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about who might be replacing Neil Adams on Canary Call and in the Radio Norfolk commentary box?
Big Rons Brain 0 Posted August 2, 2011 Would be great if it was Paul McVeigh, he was superb as a summariser last season, to be honest he should be looking for a career higher up the media chain with that amount of intelligence.
TheGoogler 324 Posted August 2, 2011 Paul McSmall would be a great choice. As would Dion Dublin or big Iwan Roberts.
dhickl 0 Posted August 2, 2011 There was talk, soon after Neil quit, that either Eadie or McVeigh would be in line for the role. Hucks & Iwan both ruled themselves out. I believe Iwan also recommended McVeigh on Twitter.
ca 1 Posted August 2, 2011
Paul McSmall would be a great choice. As would Dion Dublin or big Iwan Roberts.
Dion is contracted to Sky on matchdays and Iwan is contracted to Radio Wales so it won''t be either of them.Think we had a thread about this a few weeks ago and my choice was Darren Eadie and still is. mrs miggins 0 Posted August 2, 2011 I think i''m the only one who can''t stand mcveighs voice, though he is a legend so fair do''s.
Harry Hunt 0 Posted August 2, 2011 Darren Eadie would be a excellent choice but I always respect Greg Downs comments when he is on Radio Norfolk. God forbid Adrian Coote or Daryl Sutch as they lack the passion Eadie and Downs have for us. Maybe it''s because I never rated them as players!
Yobocop 1,099 Posted August 2, 2011 Almost nailed on its Paul McVeigh
Erik the Viking 0 Posted August 2, 2011 My hope is McVeigh for sure also, more personality than Eadie IMO and would prove a good sidekick to Boreham ;)
scrappy33 0 Posted August 2, 2011 Please be Eadie and not McVeigh
Mello Yello 2,293 Posted August 2, 2011 Dean Ashton.......
Harry 0 Posted August 2, 2011 Flemming is first team coach at Lowestoft so you can count him out.
Lambert is King 0 Posted August 2, 2011 It will be Dale Gordon with some assistance from McVeigh
YankeeCanary 0 Posted August 2, 2011 If Neil is asked to make a recommendation I''m sure he will nominate............Barry......who I''m sure is currently in training.
Howson is now! 0 Posted August 2, 2011 I think Paul and his brother Brendan should just get drunk and commentate on the football. That''d provide some added entertainment.
Hoolahans Ped 0 Posted August 3, 2011 It''ll most probably be McVeigh. The thought of not having Naeel on there is very sad indeed. R.I.P Canary Call
Syteanric 1 Posted August 3, 2011 someone said to mee it would be Darren Eadie.I hope so. McVeigh would begin to get annoying after a while.

Yelloow Since 72 54 Posted August 6, 2011 I''d be happy with McVeigh, Eadie or Downs who have all done well as occasional commentators IMO.
barclaystand 0 Posted August 6, 2011 No live commentary, but updates from Carrow Road.Does look like McVeigh has let the cat out of the bag a little early that he''s got the job.Chris Goreham later tweeted "Join us at Carrow Rd from 2 on BBC Radio Norfolk for latest on #ncfc v Parma. We''ll tell you what we''re doing to replace Neil Adams"
Liam 0 Posted August 6, 2011 don''t think its going to be Paul http://www.canaries.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~2411972,00.html
barclaystand 0 Posted August 6, 2011 That pretty much rules him out of taking over Neil Adams'' job then.
barclaystand 0 Posted August 6, 2011 McVeigh''s on a new show on radio Norfolk friday nights. They just played a trail for it, think they said its called Canary preview or something like that.So could he be doing Neils old job after all? Hmm the plot thickens. At least we''ll find out very soon.
barclaystand 0 Posted August 6, 2011 So the new neil is going to be the new Neil''s, a mix of ex-canaries. Just announced by Chris Goreham.Matt Jackson is doing the first game at wigan.
Barclay Kid 0 Posted August 6, 2011 Wouldn''t mind Richard Hancock off Radio Norfolk. Commentry certainly wouldn''t get boring with his lovely voice [;)]
Gerry Harrison 2 Posted August 10, 2011 Former Norwich and Wigan captain Matt Jackson will be the Radio Norfolk co-commentator at the DW Stadium on Saturday.
Jersey Canary 143 Posted August 10, 2011 I think it will be Ewan as he has just moved back to Norfolk and I can''t see him travelling to Wales every other week to commentate. He has experience, personality and he''s a legend!
ca 1 Posted August 10, 2011 I''m still hoping it will be that nice Darren Eadie
