Carrow Road expansion

Recommended Posts

Anyone else seen the proposed blueprints? The hotel extension is very clever but the piece de resistance has to be the new City Stand. What a piece of engineering that would be.

I''ll try and get my contact to pass me the exact seating capacity details.

I''m a big fan of increased ground capacity but even I would baulk at 60,000+

Maybe a second tier on the city stand and a 1,000 seats around the hotel would suffice.

33,000. That would be nice.
What a load of boll*cks, i love the way ''the view from the snake pit'' has totally wiped out the community area!
and the view from the hotel seats looking down onto the Jarrold Stand roof... what a croc!

Those are some superb concept drawings though. Loving the one stand being about 3 times the size of the rest. A helipad is vital now we are Premier League, will also need to adapt the river Wensum so Roman can get his luxury yacht up it. A nice Monaco-esque marina would be ideal.

This guy might be a joker, but at least he puts the work into it rather than just trolling. I doth my cap to you Mike Walker.

And he might have got away with it for longer if he had scaled down the "improvements".

I love the way he has the sun shining from the north west

...... or maybe he has simply moved the ground around 90 degrees, or so
rubbish! you have made that yourself... it looks nothing like Carrow road.you might want to remove the Helipad off the gas tank in the corner too.

Any City Stand expansion would surely involve a tunnel over Carrow Road...so maybe these blueprints aren''t as impossible as others may think.

I''m not so shure we should reject these proposals so off-handedly.  Someone clearly has put quite a lot of time, thought, creative juices and skill into coming up with these ideas - ok, so they would need to be worked up in far more detail for the planning supremos at City Hall, but as a first stab, I''d say its not a bad effort. After all, who''s come up with any better? The summer holidays beckon....

I reckon I could have drawn a similar design on the back of the EDP!

Thats why I never made it as an architect!

Has anyone heard any news on when work on this summers capacity increases are to begin?

I use Google Sketchup on a daily basis, with basic skills you can make this up easily in half an hour. You can even download it for free at google.com/sketchup.
