Canaries Utd 0 Posted December 22, 2010 I personally think they will make an example of him, with the good ole Referee being in the spotlight in recent times (especially in Scotland) i think he''ll get a further two game suspension.Any other thoughts? norfolkchance1 0 Posted December 22, 2010 3 games not including the one he''s had + fine and a warning about his future conduct. He was wrong apologised but as said above they won''t miss a chance to make an example of him.
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted December 22, 2010 I can see a 3 game ban beginning on boxing day and a fine.
Bethnal Yellow and Green 2,424 Posted December 22, 2010 One more match ban and £5,000 fine. Or a 2 match suspended ban depending on future conduct and £5,000 fine.
CRAZY LEGS 0 Posted December 22, 2010 2 match ban or a little fine
William Darby 0 Posted December 22, 2010 Probably 2 game ban and a £1500 fine on top of what he automatically received.

Bradwell Yellow 0 Posted December 22, 2010 3 game ban i reckon..
priceyrice 133 Posted December 22, 2010 i think 3 game ban and that''s not making an example, what he did was stupid, but i think his apology will help it from being any longer- between 5-8 games. you cant throw a ball at a ref, i will be very happy if its anything less than
InLambertWeTrust! 0 Posted December 22, 2010 Any idea when we can expect an outcome?Hopefully no more than a three game ban.
a1canary 0 Posted December 22, 2010 My money''s on another 1 game ban and fine around the £1500 level. Another opportunity for Mcnamee to play at centre back. Anything to keep Michael Nelson out eh!
Coelho 0 Posted December 22, 2010 No matter how much contrition he has shown, I can''t possibly see how they can give any less than a further three-game ban - that''s the standard ban for a ''violent conduct'' charge against another player, and the FA has to be seen to protect referees from physical abuse from players. Hopefully the fact that the offence was right at the lower end of the ''violent conduct'' spectrum will mean he only gets another three games.

Some get a fine, some get extra match bans; all depending on the offence.

Boyo 0 Posted December 22, 2010 He shouldn''t have done it in the first place but at least he will be back for the QPR game.
norfolkchance1 0 Posted December 22, 2010 He''s very lucky I imagine had someone like Joey Barton done it things could have been very different.
William Darby 0 Posted December 22, 2010 Barnett will be able to stuff his face with Turkey & Christmas Pud... Good result for him really.Happy Christmas
Pyro Pete 2,354 Posted December 22, 2010 Not too bad. It''s worked out nicely considering Lambert will probably want to rotate the squad anyway with 4 games in 9 days. Nelsen may give Barnett a bit of competition for his place too.
Twitchy 0 Posted December 22, 2010 Might and probably should have been alot worse, the FA love nothing more than flexing their muscle, them and Sky should form a tag team.........wait a minute.
Wandsworth Canary 0 Posted December 23, 2010 Also means he will get to the New Year''s yellow card point on 4 and hence slate then wiped clean. I had feared he would missed 1+2 and then come back get booked and miss another.
