Largey 0 Posted February 9, 2010 Heartache and misery for the Leeds lads, given they were so close to Wembley. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing tonight, we will see in May!Was rooting for Carlisle in the pens though!
Gerry Harrison 2 Posted February 9, 2010 But Sky are already showing Newcastle V Nottm Forest on Monday 29th March so they won''t move our game to then.
Pinks 0 Posted February 9, 2010
Anyone notice one of the Leeds players being dragged off by other player and staff members at the end? Hard to know if he was angry with a) the pitch invasion, b) an opposition player or c) one of this own players!
I saw that. Replayed it a couple of times. I think he had been abused by some Carlisle young ''uns. Snigger
Suffolk exile 0 Posted February 9, 2010 I think the main reason I''m pleased is that I would have been well up for a Leeds final at Wembley. Norwich vs Carlisle, lets be honest, not the same occasion.

GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 1,749 Posted February 9, 2010 I''m pretty happy Carlisle are there, had Leeds have got there it would have been fairly galling knowing that we should/could have been there against them in a full Wembley. Now that its Carlisle ,It''ll just be a non-event in a half full stadium - Mickey mouse competetion for two mickey mouse finalists. Gerry Harrison 2 Posted February 9, 2010 Burnley V Blackburnl is on Sky on that Sunday with a noon kick off.
birchfest 397 Posted February 9, 2010 Poor Old Spainboy, I bet he had already made a Wembley commemorative T Shirt..... Oh well they can now focus on securing second place in the league!
willynaylor 0 Posted February 9, 2010 hi allleeds fan in peace again. V poor performance tonight and we got out of jailWe can''t be too down at this - out of 2 cups in 6 days and we can concentrate properly on catching you boys up!We did look horrible tonight - but then we do most games to be fair. We have a very different style to norwich
adycanary 0 Posted February 9, 2010 Bit gutted myself, means we play dirty leeds on the same day as the Volksworld show, Oh well not missing game so have to be Volksworld on the Sunday.
adycanary 0 Posted February 9, 2010 First big VW Show of the year but football has to come first
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 1,749 Posted February 9, 2010
First big VW Show of the year but football has to come first
First !?!, How many are there??
adycanary 0 Posted February 9, 2010 Loads, the classic VW scene is huge in this country, could probably find a show almost every weekend somewhere. Most of big shows are in the summer which makes life easier for me as the missus can''t stand football but loves the shows.
Branston Pickle 3,657 Posted February 9, 2010 ...is that the Volksworld at Sandown Park, I guess there are others but this always seems to be a biggie and is about then? We live not far away, it is always good to see the Beetles/camper vans touring about.
Matt Morriss 69 Posted February 9, 2010 Clicked on the last page of this thread and your talking about some VW rally? What? Sweet jesus. Anyway Carlisle won which i think i prefer, a loss is a loss and it can only dent the Leeds confidence.
Branston Pickle 3,657 Posted February 9, 2010 ...odd thing is that they actually won the game tonight, but to be defeated on pens must hurt more than losing over the 90mins would have done. IMO a good result for us, am pleased we don''t have to move our match on 27 March.
willynaylor 0 Posted February 9, 2010 I think on the contrary it will do us a lot of good...coming back to win a game from 2-1 down with 10 mins to goAnother positive is that it reinforces that the hapless Michalik should never play again for us!But time will tell...v tough trip for us at Orient on saturday
UEA Canary 0 Posted February 9, 2010 what about a firday evening game? like newcastle cardiff last week. seems wrong to show colchester southend and not norwich leeds!
Gerry Harrison 2 Posted February 10, 2010 Newcastle V Cardiff was not on TV! It was moved to the Friday on police advice because Sunderland were also at home on the Saturday.Sky have already chosen their games for that weekend anyway. Football should be at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon!
norfolkchance1 0 Posted February 10, 2010 Watch carlisles first goal again and look at referee, he''s got both arms in air when ball goes in net.
HazzaJet 252 Posted February 10, 2010 It''s a pity that all of Leeds'' remaining fixtures are in the league, but I think that this defeat might be a problem for them at the weekend - if we win I think that we might find that we increase the gap. I was also a bit worried that if Leeds won the JPT it could improve their confidence for winning the title.
morty 0 Posted February 10, 2010 Carlisle United say they will investigate Leeds manager Simon Grayson''s claims that his players were attacked by home fans at Brunton Park.Grayson says his players were struck during a pitch invasion after Tuesday''s Johnstone''s Paint Trophy area final. "Three of my players were caught by punches within the crowd, anything could have happened," said Grayson. Thats a shame.
