Scumbag gets what he deserves... hopefully someone will "lose" the key... he will no doubt expect Newcastle to pay his wages for his period of Incarceration despite the fact he cant play for them...

they should go down the Grays Athletic Route!

he will be treated like a king in there, its a joke. I have mates that have done time and they all say its so easy, own key to cell, pool table, x-box 360, personal tv. its like a holiday, thats why most keep getting in trouble.

he has been sentenced to 6 months in jail not life without work, why should he not work once he has done his time. If he was a plumber or brickie nobody ould say he cant work again.

Ridiculous football IS HIS JOB why is it a priviledge its what he is good at, and believe it or not they are human and make mistakes like the rest of us. Agreed the guy has behaved like a muppet but has his sentenced deemed by a judge.

I''m with Ricky, he has made mistakes its now how he now deals with them. banning him from playing football is only gonna send him one place, back to jail

Coward. Let''s hope no one employees him.  Problem is certain clubs who have no morales would employ him regardless.

The same happened with that ginger  T W A T Hughes who killed an inocent motorist!!! Which club was it that signed him??

[/quote]Oldham...I agree, he''s a scumbag and should probably be sacked from Newcastle... however once he''s done his time, he should be allowed to work again...

Unfortuanetly once he has done his time he will be back in the footballing world earning over a million pounds a year (Probably far more than that knowing Newcastle). Makes you sick, but not much else you can do. Once he has done the time, there aint anything else you can do.

Agreed Ricky - he will have served his punishment once he is released so able to carry on any work thatpeople willoffer him.

Harder to justify him continuing to pick up £45k pw wages while inside tho..

you called him scum did you? im not a fan of his but as long as he learns his lesson then surely like anybody else who has broken the law (most of us?) he deserves a second chance. maybe this will kick him up the a**e and he will change his ways.

I''m not sure it will be a ''kick'' he receives ''up the arse'' - slight typo methinks. [:)]

Probably end up doing the same thing, might hit someone in the wrong place and maybe kill them. Possibly get life and could get out in six years. Stupid justice system, let''s lock him up and throw away the key. No, hang on, let''s kill him. And we can all watch. KILL THE SCUMMY FOOTBALLER, KILL HIM NOW [:|]
