Norwich City Kitty.

Recommended Posts

i dont think it was a wind up.. i think the organisers thought they could set up an account somewhere and that would be it...Perhaps they didnt realise it would have to be run as a business/Holding account .. and they they may of needed to give up their jobs to manage the thing long term...

there was too much commitment involved.. it was a business idear at the end of the day and would need to of been run as a business...

Hi All

The Norwich City Kitty is very much alive and well, the reason it has been quite is that a hell of a lot has been going on behind the scenes. There will be a delay in the starting of the Kitty due to some major exciting developments which will be revealed soon (but worth the wait). The website is just about finished, and is of the highest standard, and has so much more than a run of the mill website.   Iain

Yet again a totally uninformative post from a Kittymeister. For goodness sake Mr WALPOLE why cannot you answer one single point that has been raised on this thread ? You have put down fundraisers who have worked for years with NCFC in a previous post now we are awaiting the dogs swingers of a website that is head and shoulders above anything else connected with Norwich City ! Yesterday i spoke with a senior official of NCFC before the game [work that one out but the clue is he always stands in the same location pre match ] and he is still blissfully ignorant of what exactly you are up to. You cannot keep the "mushroom " syndrome up for too much longer.

If anybody fancies a good chuckle log on to www.norwichkitty.com .If that has been what we have been waiting for with such eager anticipation if i was a solicitor, accountant or other businessman connected to this venture i would turn the light out and close the door behind me. The whole website is littered throughout with incorrect grammar, spelling mistakes and lack of punctuation.Let us all hope that the grasp of mathmatics is of a far higher standard !

With all due respect, if http://www.norwichkitty.com is the finished article then you may need to up your game a little to get taken seriously.

It is (kitty) littered with errors.

(I appreciate that parts are still ''under construction'' but as a starting point it doesn''t look to be of ''the highest standard'')

I''m not trying to be too negative - just offering some constructive criticism.

At least someone is making an effort.  Easy to criticise when you are sitting there with your finger up your backside.  Pillock.

Nice one to the creator.  Hope you get the backing you deserve.  The sponsorship side of things is a good idea as well.  Can''t help financially (2 small boys take all my spare cash), can help with graphics, copy writing, advertising etc.

Send me a PM if you are interested.

oh dear Jimmy so i am a pillock with my finger stuck up my backside am i ? your ignorant response makes me think even more that if people such as yourself lend their support to the Kitty it is doomed to failure. Believe me old boy we all want what is best for our club financially but dont you think if the site was viewed by supporters from other clubs it would give ammunition to those who see us as carrot crunchers with straw behind our ears ?

ooooOOOOOoooh!  Handbags!

It''s fitting that a half-baked idea should have a half-baked website.

Under construction, like a house without a roof..

The idea is the important part, we have donated time to get this off the ground,  I specialise in Search Engine optimisation, online Marketing etc I have specialist web designers who can improve the design but they are Not Norwich City Supporters and surprisingly would not donate their time for free,

Final drafts and constitution etc are unfinished,

The site may not be finished but this works.........

This site works from support, the Google search box pays the Kitty everytime we click on a sponsored advert. Try it Search for  Insurance, loans etc  click on the Ads by google,  i''ll send you results tomorrow,

(The fund only needs support to be successful)

Read this:

http://norwichkitty.blogspot.com/

http://www.norwichkitty.com/section/1/overview/

When we supporters of  Norwich City start using the site regularly i will use the statistics for choice Advertising which pay the kitty.

Donations (under construction) are easy to use.

The site includes business directory....

Scratchback to advertise your services by rotation, any self employed out there?

The site has Handy links............

The site will improve over time, good sites develop, don''t knock it, support it... it will generate vast funds for the squad....

Save it as your homepage and watch it grow...

Canny, be careful with adsense.  Clicking on the ad links and asking other people to click on ad links will get your adsense account banned.  I know this is probably not your intention and as someone who knows about online marketing you are probably aware of this.  That said I just wanted to make sure.  Also will it be possible to make one off payments via paypal because I am not keen on montly DD.

that site makes reference to the money being paid as "interest free loans to the club"

Loans get paid back.. who then.. gets this money back.. the Kitty? the site Organisers (nice little get rich quick scheme their fellas!)? or the fans who are investing their hard earned cash?

The kitty then isnt giving any money to the club is it? its loaning the money to the club in the hope that they might one day get it back.. going by the finances already in place this could take years! so the kitty could take say 5 years to get 50,000 pounds.. gives this to the club and wait more years to get it back?

the Kitty isnt run by people like the Turners who, whilst taking a risk investing money into the football club, have other business interests they can fall back on...

If i "invest" £100 into thektty then i expect that to be repaid to me as part of the loan agreement....Will this happen organisers?

I''ll do a deal with you.. if the amount hasnt risen above £1000,000 in 12 months i''ll chuck £100 in.. cant say fairer tahn that

I totally agree with this comment on this topic, they have told us its not finished yet, so whats the big deal here?

Ive had a look at the site and the link shown (its the only helpful thing the guy posted )and believe it has huge potential, we need to hold back judgements here until we have seen the finished site then i am sure any incorrectness would have been corrected, websites are not easy things to build i am sure, pat on the back for whoevers doing it.

The fact good people have donated their time and hard work to help the club should be praised not slandered, before its even been completed too! why do people try and need to spoil everything and post things that really shouldn''t have been published, do they not have anything better to do? theres always the acle straight to play on if they are bored lol

I don''t know the politics of football just enjoy the game so why such negative comments were written i cant understand, I for one will use the site to search especially knowing it helps the club, its about whether this site works isnt it and looking at what the site has already shown and told us ( even when its not finished) it can...

Ive read the overview and it looks easy for supporters to get behind this and make it work. there''s no excuses for not waiting for the finished article before you start criticizing, just bad manners or do you support Ipswich and just come on here to unwind your frustrations at others?

I hope when its done you have to eat your words and if the people who are builing the site do read this forum, please show us the finished site soon and make us proud.. dont take any notice of the bad stuff and think we dont appreciate what you are doing for the club, most of us do and are behind you all the way.

Jas, This is the problem with the site being found before it was  ready to be viewed, people pick up the wrong ideas, its rather like reading the paper before its been proof read. The money being "Loaned" to the club is meant in the sense of when a player is bought from funds out of the Kitty and is then, at a later date sold, the money from the sale of that player will go back in to the Kitty to be used for further purchases.

I must say thank you to posters on here who have defended us against the attacks on here, I find it hard to understand why some feel the need to do this.

Just remember what I said earlier there is one BIG, BIG thing happening when we launch which will make some of the sceptics even want to get involved with this. Watch this space and keep an eye on the EDP for the official launch (I promise you will not be disappointed).

Mr John Tilson of NCISA or TIL 1010 which ever you want to be known as, the £100 bet is on with you, if you want it.

As I am sure some of you will understand we have a lot of work to do still, therefore don''t think us rude, but we will not be making comments on an unfinished beta testing website.

Best Wishes all, and good luck against Watford.  Iain
